The last few days have been, well interesting. We had just finished taking care of a pack of kitsune. Luckily I had Veronica to have the aerial advantage and the illusions they could create, I could go on for days about how much of a nuisance they were!

Currently I have no idea where we are or how close to Hoshido we are. I just follow where everyone else does. But if I were to have a life in Nohr I would have to know the geography better. Although that won't happen right? I mean after Garon is killed I'll go back to Vimore, unless I find other reasons to stay...

We're going through some mountains, I just hope we don't run into trouble. Not that I don't like fighting, I just want to start the invasion of Hoshido so I can kill Garon. I heard people ahead of me say that we're entering the Wind Tribe Village. Let's hope they don't like their peaceful neighbours.

But it's seems that there not letting us pass without a fight. Corrin seems to think she can persuade them, I gave a look to Xander, he knows as well as I do that the chances of that working are slim. He shakes his head, no doubt he's not going to stop his sister but not encourage her actions either. I sighed and mounted Veronica and dug out a tome. If there is a fight I'm ready.

The Wind Tribe leader lead us to his castle, Reppu. Although I had to get off Veronica, I still have a tome hidden in my dress in case something happens like back in Izumo.

My gods! This man wants to fight us just to test if Corrin is worthy of wielding that sword she has! And the worst part, everyone is perfectly ok with this! Sometimes I don't understand these people. We have places to be and people to kill. Then he brings out this little kid, Hayato who is supposed to be as skilled as he is. He looks like he's five years old. But I won't turn down a good fight.

Of course after defeating them we all instantly became best buds. Passing through the Wind Tribe Village certainly was nice. I've heard that Nohr has an Ice Tribe. Vimore doesn't have any different lands with different people, everything is ruled by my father and I'm assuming he'd like to keep it that way.

While walking I felt a light tug on my dress. I looked over and saw Elise timidly holding her staff.

"Hello Princess Elise, what can I do for you?" I smiled down at her, that seemed to relax her a little. Do I come off as intimidating to others? I suppose I kinda do. I like that for my enemies, but that's not the best thing if my allies are scared of speaking to me. Elise giggled when I addressed her as princess.

"Well, Princess Victoria, I wanted to tell you that I think your dress is really pretty. Well all your dresses are pretty but I love this one!" I looked down and admired the gown I had on, it is quite a nice gown.

"Why thank you princess Elise. When we return to castle Krakenburg I'll have to show you my closet full of dresses," that was true I really do have a lot of clothes over half of my belongings that I brought were solely dresses. She giggled and nodded excitedly and ran off, probably to Camilla to tell her.

Looking around Xander caught my eye and he smiled warmly, no doubt he saw the interaction between myself and his youngest sister. Was this part of his plan to make me feel more welcome in his family? Whether us was or not, I don't particularly care, my dresses are something I'm passionate and proud about they are very special to me.

Continuing on our way to Hoshido we had started climbing some stairs. Walking in heels and with my long dress skirt eventually I decided to mount Veronica to do myself a huge favour in the long run. I was able to relax on Veronicas back, it felt like it was just the two of us flying around and not on our way to war. Laying down on my back I watched the clouds go by. Until Veronica halted midair and just flapped her wings in one spot to keep us in the air.

Looking down it would appear that we have been surrounded by these faceless, as the Nohrians call them. Apparently these things are Garons creation, so you would think that they wouldn't attack his own child right? Wrong. Corrin's servants tried to hold them off but we had to start fighting back. Sighing I grabbed a tome and just started firing spells, theses things aren't worth my time. They can't even reach me up here.

The faceless, they just keep coming, so much so that our best option for everyone to make it out alive is to just escape from the battlefield as quickly as we can. I had no trouble getting out of there being a flying unit, but I helped keep the faceless back so everyone else could get out. The Nohrians kept using these weird things that would stop the faceless from moving, interesting. But while I was waited for people to catch up I did notice one thing, the faceless were mostly after Corrin. Often times they'd just ignore a solider in front of them just to get to Corrin. Why would king Garon create these monsters to go after his own child? Is there something about the Nohrians that I don't know?

We all urged Corrin to get away as fast as she could so we could take care of the rest of the faceless that chased us and when we caught up with her we were on the outskirts of Hoshido. I could see what must be their castle. How many more battles until we conquer Hoshido? My freedom is just up ahead, I just have to make it through a few more battles. I've only met the Hoshidans once, so I have no problem slaughtering them. However Corrin for some reason likes keeping enemies alive. That's alright for hostages and stuff, but she just lets them go. And she makes us all follow her no killing people rule.

"Princess Victoria do you have a moment?" I turned around to see Corrin.

"Of course, did you want to go a little ways from camp to speak?" She nodded and we walked out of earshot of camp.

"I just wanted to check in to see if your still on my side."

"Are you questioning my loyalty Corrin?" After everything I've been through with this army she has to audacity to ask me that.

"No, not at all. It's just the upcoming battles are going to be the most difficult ones we've had and perhaps if you sided with Garon and Iago things would be easier for you."

"Corrin I do not want to marry that man under any circumstances. I will fight for your cause until I have my freedom. I hope you understand that."

"I do now, thank you Princess Victoria."

"Now when will I be able to start killing people?"

"Not until we face Garon. I'm sorry, but I just don't think that killing is the answer," I sighed, it would make things easier but I suppose I must listen to her commands. "Can I ask you one more things Princess Victoria?" I nodded, what else could she want. "What's going on between you and Xander?" I froze.

"X-Xander and me? What ever do you mean?" I managed to stammer out, I could feel the heat rising to my face. Keep it together Victoria. There's nothing going on, so why am I reacting like this?

"You two talk a lot and seem to get along really well and have some things in common, I just assumed that-" I had to cut her off.

"You never consider that perhaps I had made a friend in this whole mess?"

"I guess you have a point there. I'm sorry for asking Princess Victoria, it's none of my business anyway. I'll get going now," and Corrin left leaving me along with a red face and a beating heart.

Xander and I are merely friends right? He has been very nice to me, going out of his way to talk to me, making me feel welcome... the more I though about Xander the more my face burned and the more I let my thoughts wonder to crazy places the faster my heart pounded like it was trying to break out of my chest. Focus Victoria. There's tough battles ahead, I can't be boy crazy in a war. Wait. Does this all mean that I feel something towards the Nohrian prince? I had to calm down.

"Princess Victoria," my ears perked up, not because someone said my name, but because that someone was Xander. Taking a few quick deep breaths to calm myself I felt my face, not so warm now. I finally turned around.

"Yes Xander?"

"I was going through everyone's papers and something that I previously overlooked caught my eye," what was he talking about? "On your class registration papers it classifies you as a Malig Knight, but you don't carry an axe. Is that a mistake or are things different in Vimore?" I took a deep breath.

"The papers are correct, I am technically a Malig knight but I prefer to just wield tomes," is he going to make me talk about it?

"May I ask why you don't carry an axe?" Of course did.

"When I was old enough to start training, around three or four, I didn't get to choose my weapon. The axe was put in my hand and I was forced to learn it. Do you know why Xander?"

"So you could eventually become a Malig Knight?"

"Wrong. You are familiar with the weapon triangle right Xander?" He nodded. "Well, the axe fits into the green category making it weak against those in red and what two types of weapons are in red Xander?"

"Swords and tomes."

"Exactly. The two types of weapons my parents and my brother use. From the very beginning I was set up to always be weaker than them," I hated it. I never wanted to fight head on with someone. I had a fascination for magic. "I learned magic in secret with my mother's help and once everyone saw my magical capabilities I was able to throw the axe away, I had been given my status as a Malig Knight. I didn't need it anymore."

"My apologies for making you bring that up. I'm sure that it does upset you," I nodded.

"But I suppose in the long run it was worth it, I would not of been able to keep Veronica had I not used an axe," that was kinda true. I would've been able to keep her but she would've been more like a pet.

"Do you still remember how to wield an axe?"

"It's been quite awhile, but yes I'm sure I still could if I tried." Where is he going with this? "But I will not be bringing one into battle with me," I had to set that boundary just in case.

"I would never ask that of you. I just wanted to know if you would show me your axe skills, would you like to spar?" My eyes widened. This is Nohrs best soldier, he has this crazy sword! "We won't be mounted and I'll use just a plain lance, how does that sound?" That does even the playing field, it's been years since I even touched an axe.

"I accept Xander, but first give me a few minutes to get ready."

"Of course, I'll be waiting," and with that I headed back to my tent. Despite not liking axes I found myself with a bright smile on my face. I need to have a chat with myself later.
