It was a very sunny morning when Yugi Muto woke up. It was in the beginning of May.

As he opened his eyes, he first slowly explored the room with his eyes, before he quickly shot up in his bed. He looked at his desk, only to find it empty. There was no sign of any golden box, neither of any necklaces or Egyptian god with star-shaped tri-colored hair.

Yugi couldn't breathe. It couldn't be. It just couldn't have been a dream. He was in love, madly in love. It was impossible to remember everything so correctly.

Yugi got out of bed.

"Yami," he said softly. Now he was panicking.

"Yami!" he exclaimed. "Please, tell me that you're here! Please!"

Yugi fell down on his knees and buried his face in his hands. The tears fell from his big amethyst eyes, through his hands on the floor.

He became paralyzed. His life had no goal anymore. He had lost everything. There came no more tears. He just sat there.

The door swung open. "Yugi, is everything alright?" his grandfather asked.

Yugi didn't answer.

"Yugi...? Please, talk to me, what happened?" he asked, sitting down next to him on the floor.

Yugi opened his mouth, but closed it right away. He didn't know what to say.

"Should I call a doctor?" his grandfather asked.

Yugi shook his head. "Grandpa...? Can I ask you something...?" Yugi asked with an empty look in his eyes.

"Of course, my boy."

"What day is it today?"

His grandfather smiled. "Have you forgotten? Today your friends will come over to help moving your furniture to your new apartment."

Yugi tried to breathe. "Tell them they can't come."

"What's wrong? Are you ill? I will call the doctor," his grandfather said.

Yugi didn't answer. "Have you ever heard of the Millennium Puzzle...?"

"The what? Yugi, you're talking nonsense, dear boy. I'll call the doctor. You should go back to bed," his grandfather said as he stood up and left the room.

It was just like if Yugi could still taste his lovers lips...

With red eyes, Yugi crawled back into bed.

He was hoping, that if it had been a dream, he could fall asleep again.
