Tony Stark has been called upon by the Senate Armed Services Committee. See how these events unfold!

Blake (V.O.): "Well things did get interesting in the committee hearing as soon as the TV turned on. Want to know what I mean? Here's what I am talking about."

Location: Washington, D.C.

Stern: "Mr. Stark, could we pick up now where we left off? Mr. Stark. Please." The senator said while hitting his gavel to get Tony's attention.

Tony: "Yes dear?" He turned around from where he was trying to talk to Pepper who looks like she was trying to tell him off.

The audience laughed to what he called the senator.

Stern: "Can I have your attention?"

Tony: "Absolutely."

Stern: "Do you or do you not possess a specialised weapon?" He asked.

Tony: "I do not." He stated.

Stern: "You do not?" He questioned to what Tony answered.

Tony: "I do not. Well, it depends on how you define the word weapon." He replied.

Stern: "The Iron Man weapon." He stated

Tony: "My device does not fit that description." He disagreed to what Stern described about the suit.

Stern: "Well... H-how would you describe it?" He stammered as he stood up straighter.

Tony: "I would describe it by defining it as what it is, Senator."

Stern: "As?"

Tony: "It's a high-tech prosthesis. That is... That is... That's actually the most apt description I can make of it." As he replied, the audience laughed again.

Stern: "It's a weapon. It's a weapon, Mr Stark." He stated.

Tony: "Please, if your priority was actually the well-being of the American citizen..." As he was talking, Stern then cuts him off.

Stern: "My priority is to get the Iron Man weapon turned over to the people of the United States of America."

Tony: "Well, you can forget it. I am Iron Man. The suit and I are one." The bright flashes and clicks from cameras happened. "To turn over the Iron Man suit would be to turn over myself which is tantamount to indentured servitude or prostitution, depending or what state you're in. You can't have it." The audience laughed once again at the joke.

Stern: "Look, I'm no expert..." He then gets cut off by Tony this time.

Tony: "In prostitution? Of course not. You're a senator. Come on."

People laugh. He waves back at them. Pepper does not look impressed at all. He mouths "no?" and she shakes her head.

Stern: "I'm no expert in weapons. We have somebody here who is an expert on weapons. I'd now like to call Justin Hammer, our current primary weapons contractor."

Then Hammer comes in from the side and takes a seat next to a TV.

Tony: "Let the record reflect that I observed Mr Hammer entering the chamber, and I am wondering if and when any actual expert will also be in attendance."

The people made noises while the Senator hits his gavel to get everyone's attention.

Hammer: He chuckles to Tony's roast. "Absolutely. I'm no expert. I defer to you, Anthony. You're the wonder boy. Senator, if I may." He then stood up and carried the microphone to the front, facing everyone. "I may well not be an expert, but you know who was the expert? Your dad. Howard Stark. Really a father to us all, and to the military-industrial age. Let's just be clear, he was no flower child. He was a lion. We all know why we're here. In the last six months, Anthony Stark has created a sword with untold possibilities. And yet, he insists it's a shield. He asks us to trust him as we cower behind it. I wish I were comforted, Anthony, I really do. I'd love to leave my door unlocked when I leave the house, but this ain't Canada. You know, we live in a world of grave threats, threats that Mr Stark will not always be able to foresee. Thank you. God bless Iron Man. God bless America." He then sat back down and a few people clapped.

Stern: "That is well said Mr Hammer. The committee would now like to invite Lieutenant Colonel James Rhodes to the chamber." He announced.

Tony: "Rhodey? What?" He looked back to see his best friend come through here.

Everyone in the audience turned their attention to see Colonel Rhodes walk in while photographers take pictures. Tony then stands up and walks towards his friend.

Tony: "Hey, buddy. I didn't expect to see you here." He says while shaking his hand.

Rhodey: "Look, it's me, I'm here. Deal with it. Let's move on."

Tony: "I just..."

Rhodey: "Drop it."

Tony: "All right, I'll drop it." He said as they both sat down to their seats.

Stern: "I have before me a complete report on the Iron Man weapon, complied by Colonel Rhodes. And, Colonel, for the record, can you please read page 57, paragraph four?" He requested.

Rhodey: "You're requesting that I read specific selections from my report, Senator?" He questioned.

Stern: "Yes, sir." He simply replied.

Rhodey: "It was my understanding that I was going to be testifying in a much more comprehensive and detailed manner."

Stern: "I understand. A lot of things have changed today. So if you could just read..."

Rhodey: "You do understand that reading a single paragraph out of context does not reflect the summery of my final..."

Stern: "Just read it, Colonel. I do. Thank you." He insisted.

Rhodey: He then gives in. "Very well. 'As he does not operate within any definable branch of government, Iron Man presents a potential threat to the security of both the nation and to her interests.' I did however, go on to summarise that the benefits of Iron Man far outweigh three liabilities and that it would be in our interest..." As he tried to explain, Stern then cuts him off.

Stern: "That's enough Colonel."

Rhodey: "...to fold Mr Stark..."

Stern: "That's enough." He kept trying.

Rhodey: "...into the existing chain of command, Senator."

Tony: He leans in to his microphone to speak. "I'm not a joiner, but I'll consider Secretary of Defence, if you ask nice." Then the crowd laughs again at his joke. "We can amend the hours a little bit."

Stern: "I'd like to go on and show, if I may, the imagery that's connected to your report."

Rhodey: "I believe it is somewhat premature to reveal these images to the general public at this time?"

Stern: "With all due respect, Colonel, I understand. And if you could just narrate those for us, we'd be very grateful. Let's have the images."

Rhodey: He gives a gesture to have the images appear on the screen. "Intelligence suggests that the devices seen in these photos are, in fact, attempts at making manned copies of Mr Stark's suit. This has been corroborated by our allies and local intelligence on the ground..."

As everyone had their attention to the screen, Tony leaned back on his chair and looked to his phone, looking into the images presented.

Rhodey: "...indicating that these suits are quite possibly, at this moment, operational."

Tony: "Hold on a second buddy. Let me see something here."

He leans forward to set up his device to connect with the screen showing the pictures. Everyone in the audience made audible murmurs to what Mr. Stark is doing. Hammer was confused to what is happening.

Tony: "Boy, I'm good. I commandeered your screens. I need them. Time for a little transparency. Now, let's see what's really going on."

Stern: "What is he doing?" He leaned forward and demanded to know what he was up to.

Tony: "If you will direct your attention to said screens, I believe that's North Korea." He then began to show videos on the screen

It first presented a video of a suit. It falls over and began to fire at the camera, showing blood splatter at the lenses. Everyone in the audience were horrified at the sight.

Stern: "Can you turn that off? Take it off." He demanded while Hammer stands up to deal with it.

Tony: "Iran."

This suit can fly. For all of five seconds before crashing, judging by the smoke, probably on fire. Hammer is by the screen, trying to find the off switch.

Tony: "No grave threat here. Is that Justin Hammer? How did Hammer get in the game?"

A video was shown of Hammer testing out an armored suit. Meanwhile, Hammer was still trying to find something to turn it off. Everyone in the committee talked to each other of what's currently happening.

Tony: "Justin, you're on TV. Focus up." He looks to Rhodey, trying to keep a straight face.

Hammer (TV): "Okay, give me a left twist. Left's good. Turn to the right." He was giving directions to the pilot which everything was fine for now.

Then as the suit turned to right, the suit malfunctioned, causing the pilot to scream in pain and possibly paralyzed him.

Hammer (TV): "Oh, shit. Oh, shit!"

Then Hammer finds the cables to the TV and unplugs, which then it turned off. Hammer walks back while Stern was rubbing his face.

Tony: "Wow. Yeah, I'd say most countries, five, ten years away. Hammer Industries, twenty."

Hammer: He goes to his mic to speak. "I'd like to point out that that test pilot survived."

Stern: "I think we're done is the point that he's making. I don't think there's any reason..."

Tony: "The point is, you're welcome, I guess."

Stern: "For what?" He asked.

Tony: "Because I'm your nuclear deterrent. It's working. We're safe. America is secure. You want my property? You can't have it. But I did you a big favour."

He stands up and turns around to face the crowd.

Tony: "I've successfully privatised world peace."

He had both of his hands making peace signs and everyone stands up, applauding.

Tony: "What more do you want? For now! I tried to play ball with these ass-clowns."

Stern: "*beep* you, Mr Stark. *beep* you, buddy. We're adjourned. We're adjourned for today."

Tony: "Okay." He then puts on his sunglasses and gave kisses to the committee.

Rhodey was sitting, shaking his head and with an amused look, while Hammer looks at Tony.

Stern: "You've been a delight."

Tony (on TV): "My bond is with the people. And I will serve this great nation at the pleasure of myself. If there's one thing I've proven it's that you can count on me to pleasure myself."

Blake (V.O.): "Tony really did outdid himself there. And I loved every second of it."

Blake was sitting with a very shocked and amused look on his face. Then, he begins to laugh.

Blake: "No effing way!!" He continued laughing until he heard his phone ringing. He looked to see the caller ID was Fury.

Blake (V.O.): "And of course, Fury became very sulkier after that happened. But of course while this was happening, someone else had also seen this and was preparing his revenge. It was Howard Stark's past coming back to haunt Tony."

To be continued...
