Ah, Gwen... The bad girl with a heart of gold. The heavy metal blasting, Harley Davidson riding, softie. Despite us being total opposites, I loved her with every fiber in my being and she loved me right back. I know some people think young love is foolish... But, well, we don't really give a shit.

I first met Gwen in school. She was a new student and captured my attention almost immediately. A couple short weeks later, we'd be sharing a bed. Then, our first kiss. Then, a full blown relationship... This time, though, we'd be sharing a whole summer. Together. Just the two of us.

   Or so we thought...

Thursday...

Motley Crüe blasted through my room while Gwen sat at my desk, finishing up some more summer school work. I did my makeup on the bed, my head bobbing slightly to the beat.

Then, Gwen turned the music down. "Fuck, I hate this..."

I laughed a little as I stood, looking down at her work from over her shoulders. "C'mon, you know this. Why was the original White House burned down?"

She tapped her pencil against my desk, seemingly deep in thought.

Then, she groaned. "I don't know, maybe they wanted a little more color."

I chuckled. "Stop being such a baby, the British burned it down during the war of 1812 as a retaliation for..?"

She rolled her eyes throwing her arms up. "Something about Canada... Talk about a bunch of babies."

I kissed her cheek. "It was a retaliation for the American attack on the Canadian city of York."

She jotted down the answer before turning around in the chair. "See, I knew it. Can I be done now?"

I smirked, pressing a light kiss to her lips. "I don't know if your grades will allow it..."

She returned my smirk. "Well, then, maybe I'll just have to work for some extra credit..."

I let out a yelp as she pounced, pushing us both back onto the bed.

We laughed as her lips met mine. "God, I love having you under me." She said.

My face flushed. "The view isn't half bad from down here either..."

She leaned down and just before our lips met, my bedroom door suddenly burst open.

"Hey, you two-" My mom stopped short and quickly turned around when she saw us.

Gwen and I jumped up, our faces turning beet red. "Sorry mom." I said.

"Yeah, sorry Pam." Gwen added.

"It's fine, at least you have clothes on." My mom replied, turning to face us again.

I rubbed the back of my neck, avoiding eye contact. "So, uh, what's up?"

"Jo and Lola are here to see you." My mom said.

"Alright, we'll be right down." I replied.

My mom nodded before awkwardly walking away.

"You really need a lock on your door, man." Gwen said.

I gave her a nudge. "C'mon, smarty pants."

We shared a laugh as we made our way downstairs, seeing Jo and Lola standing by the door.

"What's up, guys?" I asked after we all shared a quick hug.

They shared a look. "Well..." Jo started.

Lola raised her hands, choosing her words carefully. "We may've gotten an invite to spend this weekend at Madison's summer home and, well-"

"We don't wanna go alone." Jo cut off.

Gwen and I shared a look now.

I gestured to Gwen. "I mean..."

   She gestured back. "Right..."

We let out a sigh. "Look, we feel for you guys, but Madison still hates us." I said.

   "Right." Gwen added.

"That's not true, she apologized at the Winter Ball." Lola said.

I rubbed the back of my neck. "I know, but, I feel like that was more for her then us."

   "Right." Gwen said.

Jo folded her arms. "So, you're really gonna leave us to the wolves?"

   "'Wolves' plural?" I questioned.

"Winter's gonna be there to." Lola said.

I looked to Gwen again. "Gwen?"

   She shrugged. "Right."

I shrugged back before we refaced Jo and Lola.

Jo rolled her eyes. "They're fucking with us."

   Gwen and I started laughing.

"Language." My mom said as she walked past, heading out the door.

"You girls stay outta trouble this weekend, I'm off to work." Then, she was gone.

"Teasing aside, we'll come with you." I started.

"But, if Madison decides to start some shit, well..." Gwen continued.

I folded my arms over my chest. "Right."

Jo rolled her eyes. "Just, get your shit together, we'll be back in an hour to pick you up."

They waved before walking out, closing the door behind them.

Gwen and I started laughing again.

"Well, that was fun. Are you sure you wanna go though?" She asked.

I shrugged. "I guess, I mean she did apologize. Maybe she really is trying to turn a new leaf."

Gwen wrapped me in a hug. "If she tries anything, it's my turn to kick her ass."

I flashed her a smile, pulling her into a long kiss. "Alright, let's go get ready."

She gave me a little salute. "Yes, boss."

I smacked her butt. "Get a move on."

We shared a laugh as we made our way back to my room...

After getting our things packed, we headed out to the driveway and loaded them in the saddle bags of Gwen's motorcycle.

As we were finishing up, Jo and Lola pulled into the driveway behind us, stepping out after.

"You know you guys can ride with us?" Lola said.

Gwen shrugged. "Thanks, but this is way more fun."

   "Right." I said.

Jo rolled her eyes, shaking her head. "C'mon, let's get a move on."

As they got back in Jo's car, I climbed behind Gwen on the bike.

She turned to me and I planted a soft kiss to the side of her lips. "Ready?"

"Yep, just hold on tight." She replied, starting the bike.

I felt a wave of excitement wash over me as we took off down the driveway, following behind Jo and Lola...

I'd be lying if I said I wasn't a little nervous. Our relationship with Madison was precarious at best. One small thing might be all it would take to crumple the unstable truce right before our eyes...
