"Where is Beast Boy?" Starfire asked, looking over the table as the Titans ate breakfast. Robin took a bite of his waffle. "Probably procrastinating about getting out of bed,"

Raven rolled her eyes.

"I'll go get him." Cyborg finished his waffle and left the table.

"OOoOooh BB!" he greeted. "Time to get up-" his voice cut off. Beast Boy was lying in his bed in a ball, shaking in pain. His eyes watered.

"What hurts?!" Cyborg rushed to his side.

"Everything! My limbs ache like crazy and my chest feels like it's burning!" His face brimmed with fear.

"I'll get you some painkiller," He opened the door and Raven, Robin and Starfire rushed in.

"What's wrong with him?" Raven demanded.

"I don't know! Probably effects from yesterday."

Beast Boy shuddered. "Some effects! I feel like I'm gonna die!"

Robin placed a hand on his shoulder. "It'll be okay." His voice cracked. "You need to rest." They all left.

"The worst could be happening." Starfire said as they entered the living room.

"Mhm." "Right now, the best thing we can do is battle practice."

Meanwhile, Beast Boy hid himself under the covers and shook uncontrollably in pain. "What is happening to me?" he whispered. He hated being here, pathetic and unable to even help his friends if he needed to. He could hear the other Titans practicing outside.

He could hear Cyborg cheering, proud of his newest update on the obstacle course. He could hear Starfire chat with Raven. He could hear Robin's footsteps as he sprinted against the grass.

Then he realized he could also hear his own heartbeat.

Blood roared in his ears. The pain began to subside, which was a relief. He slowly got up, fixing his hair.

"Finally, it's over- AH!" His body shook and he fell to the floor.

He sat there for a moment. He didn't hurt anymore.

Then he pulled himself up and left for the kitchen.
