Nia - Young girl in last few years of high school /at the beginning of the story/. Thin body, but hides it behind old clothes that her mom used to wear at her age. Light brown hair, green-brown eyes. She is mostly depressed and a true pessimist. Her life is very hard, and she is used to expecting the bad things to happen to her, instead of hoping for better. She is shy, mostly thinking like introvert and blaming herself for every unfair thing that happens to her. She has certain beliefs of how she should behave and what she must not do /like no smoking/. She is superstitious. Also, she can't even imagine someone to fall in love with her, thinking she is not pretty or good enough for anyone to want her. Like and is good at painting and writing poems. Loves to read book and watch movies to transfer her into different reality.

Dean - Young boy, same age as Nia. Black a bit long hair, blue eyes. Think and with loose jeans and T-shirt like a rapper. He lives with his parents near town, but has two grandmothers in town and often when he decides to stay late, he sleeps in their home. He goes to the same school as Nia. He is calm and very smart. Never creates troubles and is polite and even friendly with some of his teachers. His friends are cool, smoking path people, who like to gather in a group and drink on a bench somewhere. He is working with computers since he was 3 years old and is very good at putting computers from parts. Great at math and with amazing memory.
