Artemis yawned as he tromped slowly up the stairs to the Ksanagi shrine, the place where he both worked part time and lived.

He sighed, hiking the grocery bags up in his hands as he approached his shrine. It had been a long day of work at the supermarket, and now all he wanted to do was lay down for a nice long nap.

He was familiar with the crazy story Yui had told him only months ago, about the garden of gods and how she taught them all sorts of things.

Artemis had told Yui then about his heritage, and what his power his mother, Hera, possessed as a powerful Goddess.

Artemis himself wasn't a god, if anything, he was more of a ghost or a shadow. He preferred to stay in the background.

He wasn't even high ranking enough to be a Demi-god in this world.

His red hair and Scottish decent didn't help him much for staying in the background, it made him a target for bullies and for other things that wished to pick on him.

His hair was a russet red, as were his long eyelashes that cradled large amber and jade green eyes.

With his large red braid at the back of his head, you'd think he was one of the Oni that parents used to tell their children about to make them go to bed.

He stopped at the shrines' entrance, taking out his key and plopping inside, flopping onto the first chair he saw, which happened to be directly where a floating glowing orb was, a booming voice speaking at the same time.

Artemis...

Artemis jumped, yelping as he fell forward, the glowing orb falling onto his lap as he stumbled into the chair.

He caught the orb, yelping when he felt electricity bounce off of it and zap him.

The voice began to speak again, making Artemis's head throb in pain.

Let the orb guide you... Choose a trait... And we shall see who you are....

Artemis looked around, confused and slightly nervous. He held onto his head, feeling it pound again.

"W-who's there?! What do you mean 'who you are'?!" He yelled, his attention being snapped back to the orb as it began to glow brighter, three options flashing onto the glass, nearly blinding him.

Trust... Love... Strength... You must choose one... It will guide you among the gods... And allow you to see who you are to become...

Artemis trembled a little, looking around, seeing no voice and with the never ending pounding, he decided to give in.

"What the heck ever." He said, randomly picking a choice, unaware of what he had done.

Love... Interesting.... Artemis.... God of the moon and the Hunt...

"W-what?!" Artemis cried as wind suddenly whipped all around him, a bright light coming from the orb and causing him to wince.

The gods are waiting.... Please them the best you can..."

"WHAT DOES THAT EVEN MEAN?!?!"
