Knuckles was in the hospital injured from another fight yet again....he was fighting a a rival tribe alone along with Sonic and his friends when one of them attacked Knuckles..... it was a miracle he was still alive but he blamed Sonic for getting injured during that time...Sonic came in and was nervous about if he was mad at him or about to yell at him but.....the scar on his cheek, the injuries, and the five stab wounds were more than Sonic could handle.....Knuckles glared at him as if he didn't want anything to do with him.... Sonic nervously said, he..hello Knuckles....ho..how are...yo...you feeling? Knuckles didn't say anything he just glared at him..... Sonic was afraid of him more than usual as he said, Knu...Knuck.... he was interrupted by Knuckles angered voice, JUST SHUT UP!!! THIS IS ALL YOUR FAULT!!! Sonic said in a frightened tone, no...Knuckles you don't understand....I swear I.... he was interrupted again, I DON'T UNDERSTAND?! YOUR THE ONE WHO DOESN'T UNDERSTAND HOW IT FEELS TO BE HURT !!! I HATE YOU SONIC!!! NOW GET OUT!! Sonic was in fear and he can feel his heart break in two as he sees anger in Knuckles knowing he was thinking in the past he was a screw up......he ran out the room and never looked back....Knuckles never saw him since that day.....he (he even may not know it) was waiting for Sonic to come back but he didn't show up.....Knuckles never knew how quiet everything was......even when Knuckles was released from the hospital he never seen or heard Sonic.....there wasn't a glimpse of him not even a bright blue light that zoomed across town....Knuckles thought as he walked, man I feel really bad about snapping at Sonic like that......I hope he didn't take it too hard....why can't I stop blaming things all on him instead of blaming things on others and myself...why?.....but there something wrong around here....no-one seems to talk about him....I heard two people were murdered 3 weeks ago....but the only thing I can make out is that nightmares I had of Sonic....

(The first nightmare)

Knuckles was watching the master emerald when he sees Sonic hanging from a tree by the neck....in terror he rushed to him and sees that it really was Sonic....hanging by the neck covered in his own blood....Knuckles was paralyzed as he tried to get him down but made it worse he kept trying but he was already dead by the time he got him down.....then as he held his dead friend in his arms he screamed as he burst into tears, NNNNNOOOOO!!! WHY?! I DIDN'T WANT THIS!!! PLEASE SONIC STAY WITH ME!!! YOU CAN'T DIE!!! NO!! SONIC DON'T LEAVE ME PLEASE!!! Then he heard an evil laugh from nowhere that said demonically, YOU CAN'T SAVE HIM KNUCKLES THE ECHIDNA!!! Knuckles yelled in anger, WHAT DID YOU DO TO SONIC?! The voice said, ITS NOT WHAT I DID ITS WHAT YOU DID!!!! Knuckles looked at his friend who had Sonics blood on his hands....he screamed as he woke up....

Knuckles who tried to call Sonic dozens of times was worried but he never answered him....Knuckles decided to go to Sonics house....but as he was on his way he thought, something's not right.... the voices appeared in his head repeating, YOU CAN'T SAVE HIM!!! YOU'LL NEVER SAVE HIM!!! YOU NEVER CARED ABOIT HIM!! but when he arrived at the door and knocked on it Tails & Manic answered it....
