Catwoman was prowling the rooftops of Gotham City and when she dropped down outside a warehouse, she was immediately ambushed and knocked out even though she did put up quite a fight.
"Well, looks like I'll finally be able to put the cat on trial again and put her down once and for all." Said a gravelly voice belonging to one of the most dangerous criminals in Gotham history. Harvey Dent, Two-Face. But unbeknownst to him. Someone was watching all that transpired. Well, listening anyway.

"Alright boys this court is in session." Harvey said as he backhanded Catwoman awake. "You pretty kitty are accused of betraying us and stealing from us. Both counts come with a penalty of death. How do you plead?"
"Really Harv, do you really have to go all out for little ol' me?" Selina asked with a smirk.
"I'll take that as guilty." Harvey flipped his coin and it landed on tails. "You are found guilty and shall be put to death immediately." He aimed his 1911 at her and before he was able to fire a round, an arrow sang and hit his hand, severing the nerve in the hand for his trigger finger. And causing Harvey to drop his gun and cradle his wounded hand. "Who did that?"
"Me." A man with a brown leather, jacket, black shirt, dark denim jeans and brahma boots and leather gloves jumped down from his hiding place in the window near the giant gates. With three arrows in hand and one at the ready in the bow. "Didn't your mother tell you Harvey that is no way to treat a lady?"
"You have no idea who your messing with." Harvey began only for the guy to hear a goon walk toward him only to get an arrow in the throat.
"I'm sorry, tuned out there for a moment." He said sliding an arrow in the groove of the bow.
"Get him." All the goons attacked at once and one of the three arrows he shot in the air and it ricocheted to two overhead steel beams and as he was overwhelmed, the arrow sliced through the ropes binding Catwomans hands releasing her and she used her claws to cut through the ropes at her ankles. She looked around and saw that Harvey had escaped.
She was going to leave but she looked to the guy that rescued her and against her better judgement decided to help him. She took out the remaining fifteen goons that were on top of her would be rescuer. Once the last one was punched out by the mystery man, she approached him. He was coughing up blood and bleeding from the right ribcage. He slowly got up and could barely stand up. "You okay, cutie?" She asked.
"I, I'm..." He was about to fall only for Catwoman to catch him.
"Okay. I'll take you home. Get you fixed up and get you back on your feet." She helped her rescuer to her penthouse and gently laid him on her bed. And slowly but surely stripped him down to his boxers and noticed the gashes on his abdomen, ribs and shoulders. She also noticed a scar over his heart. "Boy, you've surely been through hell. Once your awake and if you can, I'd like to hear how you got that scar." She drew the outline of the jagged scar. She got her first aid kit and immediately stitched his open wounds up and just put hydrogen peroxide and rubbing alcohol on the not so serious cuts or bruises. She slid her hand down his left hand and she came across a gold signet ring. Old in look and style. And the crest on it was the crest of the Longstride Family. "No way. That's..." Selina smiled as she now realized that she was with the last remaining, Longstride that had the families long believed lost family signet ring. "It makes sense now as to why your so good with a bow and arrow." She took off the wrap-around shades and put them on the nightstand. She soon just got up and kissed his forehead. "You rest now hero." She left the room and closed the door. "He's sweet to rescue me. Crazy for going against overwhelming odds like that. But I do owe him my life." She smiled as she poured a glass of white wine for herself. "But until he get's better, he's going to stay right here. With me." She fell asleep on her couch cause she didn't feel like disturbing her guest/rescuer while he slept.

The next morning, The Archer woke up and stretched for a bit before realizing his shades were off. He scrambled to put his wrap arounds back on before Selina came into the room. "Hello?" He asked. Selina grinned.
"Morning, sleepy head." She giggled.
" Where am I?" He asked.
"Your in my penthouse. More specifically my bedroom." She smiled.
"Well, sorry. I'll be on my way as soon as I can find my clothes." He slid his hand along the bed, and his feet along the floor. But Selina smiled and gently gripped his hand.
"Your not going anywhere. Your hurt and will need at least one more day to heal. And no its not up for debate." She gently pushed his shoulders down onto the bed and slid close to him as he laid down. "By the way, what's your name cutie?"
"They call me, 'Killshot'."
"Can't imagine why." She laughed a bit. "But I really can't fault you with your accuracy with a bow and arrow, and by the way thank you for saving my life."
"Your welcome. Catwoman."
"Can I ask you a question?"
"As long as it's not too invasive. Sure."
"What's the ring?"
"It's the longstride family ring."
"Longstride. As in Robin Hood?" He giggled.
"Yeah. That would be the one." He said.
"That's cool."
"Thank you." He grinned.
"Well hero. You need to get some rest and I need to get lunch started." She stood up and smiled and walked out of the room.

For the next day he stayed with Selina Kyle until he was healed enough to just go home. He left as she was preparing to go out on the prowl. "Going to leave without saying goodbye were you?"
"I don't really do goodbye's." He said as he put his bow and quiver over his shoulder. "But I will see you again. And I hope it's working with you rather than saving you." Selina giggled. He pulled his bow and loaded an arrow and fired it into a far buildings outer wall. "See ya round." He swung from a grapple line and disappeared into the night.
