A knock on my door woke me up, as I jolted up from my bed and looked at the door. The door opened after another knock and mom poked her head into the room. "You have fifteen minutes left sleepyhead," she said smiling at me.

"Fifteen minutes left for what mom?" I asked  confused. "For school, lazybones," mom groaned before shutting the door. Oh my God! I totally forgot today was Monday. I quickly got up from my bed and rushed to the shower. After having a nice warm bath, I came out of the bathroom with a towel wrapped around my chest and another on my hair.

I quickly put on my underwear and walked over to the closet to get my clothes. Before Dre left yesterday, she picked my outfit for today, she also left her mini makeup kit for me. She said I had to look hot today as it was part of our plan.

I wore the tight ripped blue jeans Dre had picked out and a white tank top with Dre's black leather jacket which she described as the 'the perfect touch' and my black ankle high boots. I walked over to my dresser and sat in front of the mirror. I took out Dre's mini makeup kit and opened it.

I wonder why Dre called this a mini makeup kit, this is more than mini, it had basically everything one needs for makeup. Although she does have a bigger one. After few minutes of wiping off makeup and trying it on again, I finally finished with the makeup. I looked at my reflection in the mirror, must say I really did a good job. The smoky eye effect I tried came out better than I originally thought it would. The deep red lipstick looked really nice and complemented the whole look.

I let my hair down and curled, picked my school bag and phone and headed downstairs. Mom was watching the television in the sitting room.
"Thanks for waking me up mom," I said, heading towards the door leading outside.

"I'll leave you to sleep all you want next time" mom said, taking her eyes away from the TV to look at me. I almost laughed at the way mom's eyes widened as she took in the way I was dressed. "Valerie, what's with the change of style?" she asked with wide eyes.

"Nothing serious mum. Relax!" I said shrugging.

Ding dong

"Dre is here already, gotta go. I love you!" I said running towards the door. "Love you too" mom replied. I could still feel her eyes on me. I rushed outside, closing the door immediately.

"Woah! Whoah!! Don't push me down!" Dre said stepping out of my way. "Sorry. How are you?" I asked, giving her a hug.

"I am fine. You look hot Val. Wow!" she said, turning me around so she would get a better view. "All thanks to you" I said smiling.

"How did you go about the smoky eyes thingy? It looks really nice," she complimented. "I watched several tutorials on YouTube and also kept wiping off and trying the makeup again. Makeup is very exhausting!" I said with a sigh.

"I wouldn't agree with that," she said. "Whatever," I replied not in the mood for Dre's long lectures.

"I hope you haven't forgotten what you have to do to punish that lice girl," Dre said looking at me. "Her name's Lisa and no I haven't," I said, rolling my eyes.

After talking about everything and nothing, Dre and I finally got to the school's gate. We walked into the school's hall and headed to our lockers. Dre was busy ranting about something that happened in a new movie she watched whilst we walked and I was looking at her, partially listening to everything she was saying when I suddenly bumped into someone.

I looked up at who I had bumped into and met a familiar set of blue eyes that was shamelessly checking me out. I blushed slightly.

"Wow!" he muttered. I didn't say anything. We stood there in awkward silence. I noticed that for the first time in a long time Liam's minions were nowhere around him. This is unusual because those friends of his never seem to leave his side.

"Hey! How have you being?" he asked awkwardly. "Fine I guess," I said looking at my boots. "Look at me" he said.

I raised my head to look him. My eyes slipped to his pink inviting lips. He looked exotically handsome in just the simple jeans, white polo and black boots. He never dresses up like those rich kids whose parents are billionaires. Although his parents are multi-billionaires, he is just simple and that is what I like most about him. His simplicity.

"I am so sorry for what happened on Friday," he said, looking sincerely sorry. "Um...it's okay, it wasn't your fault," I said. "I'm so sorry for also not giving you a call or even sending a text message. I lost my phone at the restaurant during the whole saga," he said. "Oh," was all I could mutter. Kind of explained everything. I really thought his sister had managed to change his mind towards me. "So please can we talk?" he asked.

"I am so sorry that I have to be the one to cut this whole reunion going on here now," Dre said, before I could even give Liam a reply. "But, dear Liam, no can do," Dre said, pulling me away from Liam down the hall.

"No?" Liam said, which sounded more like a question than a statement. "No?" I repeated in confusion as Dre dragged me down the hall. What the hell is wrong with Dre? Everything was going according to plan. Why the hell did she change all of a sudden?
