In a dark creepy abandoned warehouse, a few feet below the earth, in the heart of the woods. A man makes a deal with a demon for fame and wealth in exchange for his soul. In return for the riches and fame, the man trades his soul, hence making a 'Dark pact'

The demon "Azazel", keeps his end of the bargain and therefore awaits the day when 'Azrael' the angel of death would visit the young man and bring him to the afterlife.

Things go as planned and the man wakes up the next day, He tries to sing and he sounds like an Angel. He is amazed by what he hears, his voice is like that of a siren in the myths he read.

He visits a small bar in New York City, gets a gig, and sings. The crowd is marveled by his voice and his ability to play the piano, like a legendary musical genius.

He is offered a record deal that evening by a record label CEO who was quite impressed by his breathtaking performance. A month goes by, as he makes awesome songs and they all go platinum. He collaborates with all the top artists and of course, every song he released becomes a massive hit.

Record labels now seek him, endorsement deals from the high and mighty consecutively keep coming and his net worth multiplies beyond his expectation. He is loved by all and becomes a very popular and successful musician.

Years pass, and he basks in luxury and all the best one could possess in life until that one fateful day when the fear and curiosity of his inevitable fate in the afterlife, grips him.

Driving home in his Buggati, He stumbled upon a male preacher on the sidewalk, several steps away from his mansion.

The preacher vividly described hell and its tortures and agonies. The words of the preacher dawned on him as they filled his heart with so much fear and guilt plus of course...regrets.

He gets home and a guard opens his side door and takes his bag. He trudges into the vast building where he tries to forget the words of the preacher that seemed to echo inside his head.

Night falls and he tries to stay calm but his heart keeps racing, he rolls over and turns, nightmares of hell haunt him and he becomes scared.

Days go by and time flies as it seems everywhere someone is always talking about hell. Fear clouds his mind and then, an idea pops into his head. At that moment, he decides to go back to the demon in a bid to make another deal.

When the hour arrives, he says a silent prayer to God whom he failed to maintain a conversation with for ages. He walks back to his vehicle as the clock strikes '11 pm'

Xander Miles: Tall, dark hair, black iris, strong jaw, a pointed nose, and pink lips that match his spotless light skin.
Sharp angles define him, from his broad shoulders to his carved chest and a tight eight pack.
A couple of piercings and bicep tattoo that seems to add more to his charms, makes all the females drool over him whenever he shows up.
His voice is angelic and never to be matched in beauty. Due to this, he is loved by all, old and young alike but what no one knows is, he bought all this off his soul, a trade that haunts him. It is as they say, "Even stars need darkness in order to shine."

Helena Chiaka: 5'5 in height, brown hair, brown orbs, a simple nose, and light brown lips which design her chocolate skin. She is endowed with curves in the right places, a nice body, long legs, a slim waist, and a killer figure.
A cross-designed bracelet tattoo rests on her right wrist with a nose piercing that may come off to some 'as a slutty vibe' but is not relevant thus her soul is as enchanting as her beauty.
She's the complete definition of perfect and the life of the party as she works in a club. She's a simple girl with morals and values, the perfect goody two shoes, or perhaps, a rebel who loves and honors God.

What happens when these two bumps into each other?
When a good aura meets a dark aura? Would it be engulfed by the dark or would it shine through the darkness and illuminate it?

Hello Readers, we meet again
I hope you like the intro and it pushes you to read more.
This is going to be the first Dark/Romance story I've ever written.

Like I had said earlier this book was inspired by
Benjackson Troy's 'Darkside'
The first time I listened to it made me think of a dark story due to its beautiful lyrics.
It's available for download on any music site or platform for both Android and Apple users.

So, now that's settled let's proceed in this journey.
