Beginning of the pandemic
Tokyo - Japan
Mina woke up in the night, out side only dim street lights shining through the window, quiet seem scary. He couldn't get back to sleep, feeling restless because of Hitomi, because of people out there, never knowing when it would be his turn to became those terrify lifeless thing. He not turn on the light, only used a flashlight, smoked a few cigarettes, drank few can of beer to end the lonely night. At the morning, Mina woke up on the table with breaths still smelling of beer because last night's drunkenness had made him fall asleep without notice. When he turned on the phone, many calls came from Takumi, he say that his family will back to America because Japan become dangerous for his family, he wanted to see Mina one last time.

Mina arrived, Takumi walked in after, they go to a coffee shop, ordered hot coffee and delicious cakes for the last meet.

"The plane takes off in an hour, I only have this little time to spend with you because I don't know can we see each other again, I have to leave, so I worried about you, Teacher! "

Mina advises Takumi that nothing to worry, everything will be fine. In fact, he also scared and worried in his heart, don't know what to advise his old students. Right after that, a car lose control and crashed into coffee shop, causing some injuries, others were cornered by the front of the car stuck a bunch of people to the wall, crushed their lower body. From under the tablecloth and broken pieces from the table, Takumi came out, his mouth couldn't stop coughing from the dust, he looked around to find his teacher and then panicked, his heart beating like a machine when he saw that scene.

Mina is on his knees, face down against the wall with his left arm stuck between the front of the car and the wall! He in pain, groaning constantly and angry ... He struggling. People who was cornered in the front of the car after fainting, they began to turn, their eyes dark and lifeless and hands pulling the half of their upper body towards Mina.

That thing couldn't crawl to the ground, it lay on top of the car, dragged Mina's neck from the close distance. It bit his shoulder!

"Teacher!" - Takumi ran to Mina with a broken table leg. He hit that thing, but it wouldn't leave Mina's shoulder.

Hit in the body didn't work, Takumi stab it through the head and that thing stopped moving! Even though they were turned, their bodies and flesh still is human. Takumi pulls that thing away from Mina, with the left arm still stuck, Mina tells Takumi to run away before anything happens, Takumi protests vehemently because he won't leave his teacher in this dangerous place like this. Mina gently said to Takumi:
"I always love you and all of my students, I will do everything to protect you kid so run away from this place before it's being late!"

Takumi hugged Mina one last time and then he quietly left. Mina look at Takumi with a sad look, then slowly those eyes became heavy and Mina fainted from losing a lot of blood from the bite.

* Meanwhile *

"Father! Mother!" - Misaki's voice called out in school corridor among the students in chaos because behind them, other students are tearing each other apart. A turned student lunged at Misaki, she leaned and ran up the stairs, a bunch of turned students are chasing her. She ran into her father's principal's office and locked the door, take a sword in the glass frame on the wall that her father given her, a sharp double-edged sword with beautiful feather patterns, she held the sword and sat under the table and waiting for those students leave to get out of school.

As for her parents, after returning from Hitomi's scene, they back home to check on their second daughter Yumiko but a truck hit them on the way, causing their car to explode. As Yumiko, she sitting in the house, scared behind the weak glass door because her fiance go crazy and wanted to eat her alive.

Back to Mina, he fainted for a short time, woke up, no one around, the police hadn't arrived, he still alive, not turned into those thing yet! He sighed, looking around and the thing that Takumi killed before still there. Mina snatched the broken table leg out of the thing's head and stabbing at his left elbow with the sharp tip, screaming in pain until the arm severed. When the arm broke, Mina fell to the ground then scrambled to his feet, covered the wound with his coat and crawled into the kitchen of the coffee shop to sitting there.

Then police came to blockade the scene with curiosity of people around and passersby. Mina didn't want to get in trouble, he grabbed his arm and ran outside by the back door, dragging his feet home to find medicine to clean the wound and bandage it, then get to bed and laying there waiting for the bite effected.

Night falls, is a quiet night in Japan, still dark that scary...

Misaki opened door of the room to check if those students leave then a turned students appear from behind the door, it grabbed Misaki's hand, she grabbed it neck and fell. Struggling for a while, her sword stabbed its head, it stopped attacking. She take her sword out, blood dropped on her neck and bosom.

She walked to the corridor, down the stairs to exit the school, there were three turned students walking towards her, Misaki raised her sword ready to attack but strangely, they past through her like she weren't there and seem like they not attacked each other. Misaki picked up the part of her shirt soaked in the blood of those, she had deduced that with their blood, they would ignore her and attack on the head would stop them.

She immediately ran home, saw Yumiko's fiance are scratching the glass door, she hurry to slash off its head and opened the door to call Yumiko...

" Parents home yet, Yumiko?" Misaki asked. - "After they back from Hitomi's scene, the car crashed and exploded, mother was burned in the explosion and father are missing!" Yumiko sobbed, Misaki sat down and hugged Yumiko tightly, she didn't dare to cry out loud but could only bite her lip hoping that her father okay out there!
