Author's notes: Sorry about the down period my loyal readers, but I became ill on 30th of October and it persisted for quite a while leaving me unable to post. The song of the day today is "Cradle of Forest" from Silent Hill 4: The Room, it has to be one of my most loved Silent Hill songs and like always fits so perfectly well within the game, I have never had a problem with Silent Hill and their soundtracks, but there lies one problem I have with Silent Hill and that is losing Akira Yamaoka this one man worked on every single Silent Hill and was the master of a new genre he helped create. The next few days were very busy countless units prepared for war by training and doing basic up keep on all their armor and weapons, the training the soldiers endured could only be described as brutal, so brutal in fact that the strongest gems find themselves panting, the training consisted of weighted running and various war-like scenarios simulated by the ships heating and cooling systems, lastly combat was simulated by the instructors who taught the soldiers various moves and actions they could use to counter an enemies actions, Rose stood amongst a small band of soldiers who crowded around a single man listening to what he had to say "As you know, we have been tasked with the conquest of Relis, I have decided that we will drop a army in the fields of Khaza, which as I'm told by one of Yellow Diamond's scouts is hidden behind the city of R'yleh's mountain range, our dropships will be masked by a meteor shower that is scheduled for our arrival allowing us a surprise attack on the city." the man said going over their attack strategy "Do we need to worry about the cities communications? a lithe young soldier asked "From the reports given by the Yellow Diamond's scouts, the cities are still using letters and couriers to communicate amongst each other, the distance between these cities are too vast and can only be traversed within 3 days by foot, villages dot the way to these cities, so stopping the courier is still the best solution as we know a village has no walls to limit the flow of information leading it spread in multiple directions, but also remember it's harder for villages to amass a army, so we will hide a small army behind the enemies line in case they can amass a army to break their formation." the man said explaining his plan of attack, all of the soldiers stood quietly listening to him before Rose asked looking directly at her teacher "How do you expect to split up the army's, Sir Diamond?" his eyes quickly as he registered her question "That's still being debated Rose, you will all be into one of these army's all I ask of you my dear students is that you come home in one piece, that will be all!" Diamond said answering Rose's question while also dismissing the soldiers and saluting them, in customary fashion they all mimicked the salute shouting "Yes, Sir Diamond."
