Introoooo
The II!!!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~Travis' POV:
We parked in front of Y/N's home, but we did not go in. We watched in amazement as fireworks made from magic shot into the air. When they did, they would move across the sky, forming different shapes and colors. One of the fireworks formed a purple horse, which galloped across the sky, kissing the horizon. It ended right in front of us, where it exploded into a rainbow of colors. The neighbors were doing fireworks.
"Isn't it a wonderful world we live in? Magic is such a beautiful and mysterious thing. It can also be dangerous at times, but most of the time it is a great thing," Y/N said.
For me, most of the time it's a bad.
"Do you have any magic?"
"Everyone has the ability to use magic. However, it is harder for some people to use magic, and it takes longer for them to learn the stuff. It all depends on how much magic you have in your blood. If you have very little, then you are very limited on what you can do," I explained, tensing up as I thought about my magic abilities.
"Whoa, really? I've never learned much about magic."
"Were you just never interested in it?"
"No, it's just that my parents cut off all magic from our lives. I didn't even find out about it until my parents told me, just as I was moving out."
"I could never imagine a life without magic. It's practically everywhere. Why didn't your parents tell you and Aspen?"
"I don't know. I found out that they were magicks users who stopped using their powers once they adopted us," Y/N said. Then she turned to me. "Did your parents have magic in their blood? As I said, my adoptive parents did. I don't know about my real parents though."
"Yeah. I don't know about my mother. I never saw her use any magic. However, my father had the most power in my whole town. So, I'm assuming that I have some magic running through my veins." I bit my bottom lip, trying to calm myself down. I don't have to tell her right now. I'll tell her what she needs to know at the moment.
Garroth is right though.
I have to tell her at some point.
"Oh, have you tried to use magic?" I asked.
I laughed nervously. "A few times. Once I broke a chair. However, I think that the chair broke because it couldn't handle my awesomeness," I said, laughing. Y/N laughed too, rolling her eyes. I wasn't necessarily lying because I did break a chair the first time I used my powers, outside of turning into a demon. Actually, what am I saying? This may be some what true, but if things aren't completely true, then they are still a lie. I hate lying to Y/N. She deserves to know the truth, more than anyone else, but I just can't give it to her at the moment. Feeling uncomfortable, I changed the subject to prevent my mouth from becoming the mouth of a liar. "So, how do you feel about finding out that Cadenza and Laurence are your long lost childhood friends?" I asked.
"It's just so surreal. It's like finding your old favorite blanket from your childhood, in storage as an adult. It's nostalgic," she whispered. "You know, I'm not tired. Wanna go grab a cup of coffee, coffee buddy?" Y/N asked. She kissed my forehead.
I furrowed my eyebrows. My head was starting to hurt. It was like my brain was knocking on my skull, trying to escape. I held my hand to my head, closing my eyes as the sharp pain ran through my head.
"Hey, are you okay?" Y/N asked. A concerned look took over her as she placed her hand on my shoulder.
I groaned. "Headache, that's all," I whispered. I tried to sit up straight, but my shoulders and upper back throbbed with pain, so I slumped back down into my seat, frowning with confusion.
