3rd POV:

"Go suck a d*ck."

Those were Travis' first words when Nick managed to forcefully pull the burlap bag off of Travis' head without being bit by the victim he helped capture.

"Casper, do I have permission to hit him again?" Nick asked. He shot a glare at the white haired boy.

"No, Nick. We can't hit an innocent. You know what the council would do if they found out."

Travis smirked wickedly at Nick, seeing the burning fury inside of his eyes. He knew that the man so badly wanted to beat the sh*t out of him. It was like a cat sitting in front of a tempting tasty piece of cheese.

"They aren't necessarily innocent themselves either, now are they?"

"Shut up, Nick! You are gonna get us killed!" Casper paused. "Truthfully, I feel guilty. The council never even questioned the idea of him being innocent. They acted as if they knew the whole truth. They didn't give him a chance. We are already breaking the law so we don't need any more things to add to our record, Nick."

"Don't tell me you are siding with the Devil's son now are you?"

"What happened to the code of mercy?"

"Well what happened to the code of justice?"

"Just... I feel like this is true justice. Nick, this feels right to me. I'm not siding with him, but I will give him a chance, despite his family. I choose to look at him as a stranger, and I will temporarily disregard his questionable father. We must distinguish between truth and false judgment. The only way to show true justice is to form opinions based on fact and not opinion."

"Sometimes judgements keep us safe though."

"What a cowardly and thoughtless thing to say, Nick. You could form stereotypes and assumptions about everyone, and there will always be true ones because of chance. We are all beings in this world. The truth is, some beings will be bad, while others will be good. If you make assumptions like that, you may be protecting yourself from a 1% chance of that happening, but you are also casting away the 99% chance of that not happening. You can't run and hide from everything, Nick. Shielding yourself with opinions will also shield you from the truth."

"You sound like an old man."

"For starters, I don't sound like an old man, I sound like a wise man. Secondly, I'm 25. For your information, that is three years younger than you," Casper scoffed in his British accent. He had kept an emotionless face throughout the entire conversation. He pushed his slender gray glasses up the bridge of his nose and then slid his pale hands into his pockets.

Travis glanced from one man to another, dazed, confused, puzzled, and slightly amused by the scene unfolding before him. His hands were still bound up, just as his legs were, but he felt more comfortable where he was now. There was still a strong magicks barrier, but the room was more cozy and less like a prison cell or room in a classic movie insane asylum.

Travis glanced around. No cameras. There were still no windows, but the light was more mellow and less like the bright blinding lights of an operation room. The floor was wooden, the walls were painted white, with one accent wall grey, and there stood a large house plant in the corner. There was nothing else in the room though except the lights reaching out from the walls and hanging from the ceiling.

'Where am I?' Travis questioned to himself.

He scanned the room meticulously, searching for any clues, but he found none. All he knew was that he had been moved since the last time he was awake and that these two strangers before him had a role in all of this.

"Can you stop quarreling for a second and tell me where the f*ck I am?" Travis snarled. He didn't have anything against either of the men, and actually appreciated Casper's philosophy. However, he knew one thing for sure, and that was that they were responsible for this. They had taken him. He had been kidnapped, captured, or whatever you want to call it. Until their motives were revealed, he could only base his opinions on the fact that they had both committed a crime against him.

"You are currently in a possible guest bedroom in the basement of a house that's on the market." Casper chirped.

Travis growled. "I mean, where is this house? While you are at it, would you mind explaining why you guys brought me here and what's going on?"

Casper smirked. "Welcome to heaven."

•~<>•~

"Oh. I thought this was h*ll. Thanks for the information." Travis sarcastically grinned. "What am I doing here? There is no way that I'm dead because heaven would never let me in anyways considering my ancestry. Besides, my father would've forced my soul to go 'back home'."

The two men standing before him were silent. Nick ran a hand through his thick black hair.

"Travis, my name is Casper Jones, and this is my coworker, Nick Yagot. Two years ago, we were assigned as investigators of the head council department. About six months ago, the council paired me up with Nick and assigned us a case. It was your case," Casper explained. He took his glasses off and pulled a pouch of cleaning tools from his pocket in one smooth motion before he proceeded to clean the lenses.

"I would say that it's a pleasure to meet you, but seeing as you two have kidnapped me, tied me up, hit me, and shocked me, I'm afraid that I can't say so," Travis said. He glared at the two men.

Nick just responded with a cheeky grin.

"That information hardly answers any of my questions though. Seeing as I am in Heaven, I'm assuming that you two must be angels or passed spirits. That makes sense considering that you just mentioned this thing called the 'council'. However, if you guys are investigators, and work for the council, you two must be angels. That doesn't answer many of my questions though. I still don't know why you have taken me here, what is 'my case', how I ended up here, and why I'm tied up like a criminal," Travis said.

"So... you really don't know anything besides that? Really?" Casper asked, flabbergasted.

"I don't know anything besides the basics and what you have told me. -And I certainly don't  know who this 'Black Rose' person is. You guys must know more about me than I about you though because you guys seem to know a lot about me, my family, and what I am," Travis whispered.

"Well," Nick gulped. "Should we tell him?"

"That's the whole reason we brought him here, wasn't it? We've already broken the law. Let's make it worth it," Casper said.

Nick nodded in agreement.

"You are correct about the two of us being angels. We used a spell to temporarily hide them so that our identities wouldn't be revealed to you. The council told us that we had to kidnap you and interrogate you. They told us that they needed to know where the 'Black Rose' was, and if you didn't obey, then we had to use force on you. Electric shocks specifically. The council never told us what to do if you didn't know where she was though. They insisted that you must say the answer to our questions or face the consequences. I could tell you weren't lying though. I could see it in your eyes. Besides, you can't use any of your magic here since all your magic is dark magic. You wouldn't even be able to cast a deception spell. There is also no way that you can turn on us and escape since all you have is your bare strength in that human skin. You look muscular, but we both have magic, wings, and Nick is twice your size," Casper explained.

"What about everything else?" Travis asked.

Casper sighed. "Those answers are in a complicated, confusing, and tangled web of facts, opinions, theories, lies, and fiction. Those questions are too complex for us to explain to you at the moment. It's all a long story, which goes back to years ago. I thought you knew the majority of this information, but seeing as you don't, it will take us more time than we have to answer you," he said. He glanced at the golden watch on his wrist. Casper turned to Nick. "Speaking of time, Nick, we need to leave soon. A real estate agent is coming here in an hour and we are probably already known fugitives. We have to head over to the Council Center in order to get the documents we need before the Royal Guard starts coming after us."

"Wait, what about me?" Travis questioned.

"You're coming with us. However, don't even think about doing anything funny, or I'll squish you like a grape," Nick said.

Casper chuckled. "After heading there, we'll go to the Black Rose's old house, then to the Pearl Port storage room, and we will make our journey towards Earth. Considering our situation, it will be much safer there."

Sorry for the short and boring part everyone. Nothing really happened in this part and it was mostly bland dialogue so I apologize.

I also want to apologize for not updating in the past two weeks and not doing so on Friday or Saturday. Finals are coming up at my school and I had three huge tests for school and a gigantic month long project due last week. Plus, I have a vocal recital and family event coming up.

I'm so sorry. I really feel bad for not updating in so long and I understand that a lot of your guys will stop or have stopped reading this fan fiction.

Hopefully I can explain to you what has been going on soon.

Thanks to all of you who stayed. I honestly thought my last part wasn't going to get any views and that all of my readers had forgotten about this story. I appreciate it though. <3

^-^ I hope all of you have a great day, and thank you for all of the welcomes back. I miss you all! Bai, Unicorns~ <3
