Pyrrha POV:

I was sitting with my teammates as we were flown to Atlas so we can begin planning our next move to combat those monsters. I still remember seeing them tearing people apart limb by limb and how our weapons were powerless to stop it. It's understandable for me to have nightmares about this entire experience. But it also made me realize how badly I messed up with Jaune.

I loved him yet....I betrayed him without a second thought. I could tell that the others fell the same way that I do at this moment. A moment that will end once we arrive in Atlas and discover how to end this newest threat. I was cut off by these thoughts when Ren asked me a simple question.

"Pyrrha? Are you okay?" Ren asked.

"No. I'm not okay...not after seeing everything that was happening back at Vale." I admitted knowing that it was useless to try to lie to him. No one was okay...and things may get worse before they even get better.

"You feel like you let everyone down do you?" Ren asked.

"Yes. We're huntsmen in training. We're supposed to save everyone from the dark forces who won't hesitate to kill them yet...we could hardly do anything to save them. We failed them. Just like we did Jaune." I said.

"Pyrrha. There was nothing that we can do to save those people. Our weapons couldn't penetrate their bodies and they could smash through our aura in three hits. But that doesn't mean that we can come back stronger than ever for the next time that they come around." Ren said.

"Yeah. But what happens if we still can't save people the next time. What then?" I said.

"We keep trying until we can win." Ren said. After we said that, a comfortable silence fell in the air ship. Ren was right...we will win this.

No matter what we have to do to achieve it.

?????? POV:

After I finished talking to one of the people that we've chosen to join us, I quickly switched my attention to my computer and wondered if one of my old inventions will help us out. Don't get me wrong, our progress is going great, but it wouldn't help to add more forces with us. But before I could look through my logs...my brother rushed in with a coffin.

"Brother? Why do you have a coffin with you?" I asked.

"I detected some magical energy while searching for some possible allies." My brother said which almost made me want to slap my hand across my face. I knew that gaining allies from the humans and Faunus wouldn't be easy since they have been shown to be untrustworthy. The only exceptions being the Arcs since their ancestor made a deal with us.

"Magical energy? Hm...humanity must still have some magic left after all. It's too bad that I have to help convince the strongest prisoners to join our cause or else I would've captured some of them and study them." I said.

"Yeah yeah. Help me bring whoever's in here back to life so we can use them to further our invasion." My brother said. I nodded along to that and started to prepare to bring a person back to life. And maybe...just maybe....

We'll find our fiancé too.

Raven POV:

I was clutching the stump of my bleeding arm as I watched my tribe be killed one by one. I only managed to save my right hand, Vernal from this...monster. No, demon who was killing us one by one until only I was left.

"Oh. I expected something better by the likes of you, but...it seems like humans will always be weaker than demons." He said with a taunting tone.

"Humans will never give up the fight to survive." I said before he grabbed my throat and raised me off the ground.

"I know. Humans will never give up despite the unfavorable odds against them. Why do you think I enjoyed killing all of your men so much." I said filling me with rage.

"Why you..." I started to say before he cut me off.

"I was about to do the same to you, but it seems like you have some more power inside you." He said before he continued to squeeze my throat until black spots flooded my vision.

Yang....

Vernal....

I'm sorry. Looks like this fight will be yours to handle now. Never surrender. Never give in.

And just like that...I lost consciousness and knew that when I regained it....I'll be forced to join the opposite side.

Vernal POV:

I kept running away from the destroyed remains of my tribe...and tried to stop the tears from flowing down my face.  My home was destroyed and Raven....is gone. I wish that I could've stayed and fought, but Raven sent me away.

Shaking my head...I continued on my journey hoping that I will find help against these stronger forces that have plagued this world. Unaware that it will be a difficult challenge in the coming months ahead.

Hope you enjoyed the chapter...Bye 👋
