The man finished telling his story.

"Wait, you knew her personally?" the little girl asked.

"I knew all of them,"he murmured, "I loved them, every one of them, they were my friends and brother, one was the love of my life. A long time ago."

"What were they like?" she questioned.

Some crumpled copy of a smile crossed his face, "they were going to save the world."

All around Dean and the little girl the world burned, because the world didn't end with a bang or a whisper, but rather, with millions of
screams.
