Both my parents and my brother looked at him. He had a black shirt and trousers on as if he came for an interview. His shoulder length hair combed behind and he looked dashing. That was new...

I have always seen him in jeans and t-shirts.

I narrowed my gaze at him. My mother yanked away her hand and glared at him. He was taller than my father and even when he was glaring at Callahan, it seemed more like he was intimidating my father instead.

"What-what are you doing here?" I asked in a low voice.

"Well, of course to meet your family." He said smiling.

"And how do you know we came?" My father asked with doubtful gazes.

"Miory told me," Callahan simply answered.

I furrowed my brows as my mother asked, "Who is that?"

"Err..." A voice came as we all looked in the direction and there she was standing by my bedroom door in her formal dress yet she was looking presentable and beautiful. "Hello, I am Miory," she said shyly.

My dad asked me, "Does she live here with you?" It seemed all of his worry was released as soon as he saw another girl instead of a boy.

"No, I came to check on her. Well, we often visit each other," she answered with a very sweet voice and it was impossible to guess that she was a Devil.

As there were others present, my mom and dad immediately changed their behavior however, the bathroom door opened and came out Gretarioth. All of us stiffened as he came out and feigned being surprised.

"Well, Hello. Wow everyone seemed ready, I see," he said, making Callahan's features darkened. And I knew, Gretarioth came to ruin it. Damn that devil!

"Who is he?" My father asked in a shocked yet angry expression.

"Well, I am Callahan's brother. Nice to meet you."

"And Miory's husband," Callahan added to get revenge on him as both Miory and Gretarioth cringed but Callahan glared at Miory and she immediately agreed, "Yes, he is my husband."

I thought she was a devil of chaos then why did she get scared of Callahan? Then I recall she was working under him.

"Because she is a second generation devil and she doesn't have enough power to go against me," Callahan said in a low voice enough for me to hear.

My dad and mom both nodded as they smiled at them. "So, what's the occasion for your friends to accumulate here?"

I stood there helplessly and tried to run my mind but could not come up with an excuse when Callahan replied, "It is a small birthday party."

"Who's birthday?" Gretarioth asked and all of us glared at him. It seemed he came here to ruin everything purposely as he smirked at us.

"It is Droy's birthday," I said.

"There is one more?" My mom asked as I said, "We-we are planning to surprise him so we were preparing for that." I nodded nervously.

"And he hasn't arrived yet," Callahan added as he said to me, "Carson, why didn't you ask your parents to take their seats? They are standing since I came."

I looked at him with round eyes and noticed my parents were a bit pleased with what he said.

"I-I forgot." I said with a stumbling voice as Miory said to them, "Please, take your seats. It was really rude of us."

I was impressed by both Miory and Callahan's acting. They were nailing it and it seemed my parents were very pleased with how they were treating them, especially with Miory. The way she was acting like a good wife and a composed woman, was the ideal woman in my parents point of view.

But the problem was, there was no food or cakes. And it was already past 8. It would take time to prepare food and it would make my parents doubt me more.

"Don't worry, I have ordered food and cake already. It will reach in a moment," Callahan whispered in my ear as I nodded. I was so glad that they all helped me even when I shouted at them to get out. I felt bad.

"Don't worry, I will get back to you for that," Callahan whispered again as his breath tickled my ear lob and my cheeks turned red.

"Stop reading my thoughts!" I whispered-yelled at him as he smirked and I noticed, my parents and brother as well as Miory and Gretarioth, all of their eyes were on us. Although Gretarioth cringed at us while My parents' and Miory's eyes were narrowed to the slit. My face heated. We acted like a real couple!

"Mom, Dad, Andrew, please sit," I said, avoiding their gazes and leading them to the dining room beside the open kitchen. They all took their seats around the new table.

Miory kept talking with my mom and dad and my brother complimented Gretarioth's hairstyle, "You look really cool in that hairstyle. Can you tell me where you got that?"

My brother brushed his hand over his hair and added, "I wanna do that when I grow up."

It made Gretarioth a bit fluttered as he said, "It's like this ever since I was born."

Gretarioth's hair was like Callahan, messy yet straight and the edges were out in the air but Callahan's hair was longer than him as a result, his edges were always alongside with the rest of the hair.

And soon they engaged in a conversation from hairstyles to celebrities.

The doorbell rang and Callahan went to receive it. A moment later, he came with food and cake and went toward the kitchen as I followed him.

He brought out all the packages as I took out the plates and poured them on the plates. While we were doing it I said, "Thank you."

"For what?" He said and looked at me with a smile and it made my heart flutter.

I took a breath and said, "For doing all of this. If you weren't here, I don't know how else I would have handled the situation."

"Don't thank me," he said, "I am your boyfriend, after all." He smirked and it was enough to make my knees weak. He was a Devil and I knew it was just a contract but somehow he was so reliable that I wished...

I halted my thoughts and asked him about Droy to divert my attention. "When will Droy come?"

"Any moment. I have already told him to come after he delivers the food and the cake."

"He-he delivered his own birthday cake?" I asked as I was stunned.

"Well, how do you think the food came immediately after I said it?" Callahan asked.

I nodded and started to laugh as he laughed with me too as his dimple appeared. And as soon as my eyes fell on the table I saw everyone was looking at us while Gretarioth was cringing and the rest of their eyes were narrowed down to slit. My face heated. We were acting like a couple again!

Droy came not long after that as the doorbell rang and we set the cake on the tea table. As all of us stood up and reached the door to surprise the fake birthday boy, or devil and I opened the door as we started to chant 'Happy birthday' to Droy.

And he stood there feigning being shocked and then gotten happy. Although it was a fake birthday, for my parents and brother, it was real. And since they were present but hadn't prepared any gifts my brother took out his latest headphones he bought for gaming and gifted him and said with an innocent smile, "Happy Birthday and this is from me."

Droy was taken aback for a moment and from his red ears, I sensed he was a bit flustered and he said, "No, it's really okay."

My brother took his hands and gave it as he said, "I won a gaming competition and bought it. It might not be that expensive but it sounds really cool. Take it as a gift from your little brother." Andrew smiled at him and I was so proud of him. He was just 17 yet he was very mature.

It seemed Droy was shocked and he took it as he proposed, "Wanna come with me for the 'World Gaming Champ' competition?"

"Woah! But that is for pro players! And besides I don't have that much equipment." Andrew said but Gretarioth scoffed as he said, "I have so many that you don't need to buy."

Droy was a bit angry as he said, "Don't worry, I have more so you can take mine."

It seemed both Gretarioth and Droy engaged in a battle of who would give their gaming equipment to Andrew as Callahan whispered behind my hair, "Are they all children or what?"

I chuckled. "Let them be children for a while."

My mom and dad came and said, "We don't know, son, that it was your birthday. But you can have my favorite 'Manchester' cap."

I said immediately, " Dad, nobody wants your cap!"

My mom nudged him and scolded, "Dear, you should not give a used item." And my mom brought out a cookie jar and gave it to him as she said with a smile, "I will give you our special pastry the next time we will come."

I was shocked and looked at my mom and dad with wide eyes. Did she say 'next time we come'? Was that meant they...

Callahan whispered again, "Yes. They are thinking of letting you stay here with us."

I looked back at Callahan as he shrugged. I knew he could hear their thoughts. Well, all of them could hear their thoughts. I looked at my dad and mom as they looked back at me with a smile and said, "You are surrounded by wonderful people and you have gone this far to make your own career without any help from a man." My dad came toward me as my lips quivered, "I am proud of you."

I hugged him immediately and although I felt like crying, I stopped myself as those were all Devils and I didn't want them to see me crying.

"To be honest, I never liked Fred," my brother said as all of us looked at him.

"Why?" My dad asked.

My brother took out his phone and scrolled something on it and showed it to us and a gasp came out from my mom's mouth. It was Fred with a girl and they were kissing in a party. And the surroundings seemed very familiar. It was my hometown's basketball yard.

My brother said, "It was after their graduation ceremony."

My dad was offended as when Fred was graduating we were in a relationship and it seemed he had cheated on me many times. I felt like scoffing and I didnt even feel sad.

My dad said, "You did great to dump him."

I asked my brother, "Why didn't you show us that before?"

"Because all of you were head over heels for him." My brother said with a deadpanned face. Well, I wasn't that head over heels with him.

Callahan gave me a look and I drifted my eyes away from him and said, "Alright, let's have dinner."

And all of us chatted while we ate and it felt like it was a normal day with my friends and family. My eyes slowly went toward Callahan and I saw he and Gretarioth both were chatting with my dad about Manchester and Chelsea while my brother supported Madrid. They all were engaged in conversation while I sneaked at Callahan and my heart fluttered.

What was wrong with me?

That's when my mother brought out a proposal to all of them. "Why don't you all come visit us during our summer festive season?"

I looked around and said, "Mom, they all have work."

Both Droy and Gretarioth said at the same time, "I'm free."

They looked at each other and glared as Miory said, "I will come if my husband goes."

Gretarioth cringed as Droy was trying hard not to laugh.

I said looking at Callahan, "Well, Callahan has some work...so..."

Callahan said, "I can manage." He looked into my eyes and said, "I am free."

Well, of course, he was free. I rolled my eyes as he raised an eyebrow at me.

With that, it was decided that we all will be going to the summer festival in a few weeks.
