Callahan and I were waiting at the entrance of the airport, all of our tickets were in his hand.

We arrived early as we didn't have breakfast at the apartment. We did it on our way and now we waited for the others.

Miorith and Droy came together as one of Droy's men dropped them. They could have come with their demonic powers but even they decided to play human but for Gretarioth...he just crashed in a blink.

"Alright. Let's go." Callahan announced and we all followed him.

We put our bags on the checkpoint and they checked us then we entered before the counter.

It took us one and a half hours to reach the waiting area. We sat as they announced our plane was one hour late. Droy and Gretarioth groaned.

"Why can't we just go with our demonic powers?" Gretarioth asked in a frustrated voice.

"Just wait and enjoy." Callahan said while sipping on his smoothie.

I narrowed my eyes on him. "When did you get that?"

"Just now."

"You get to use your powers while we can't?" Gretarioth growled.

"Use it and get smoothies, then." He sipped again.

"It is just one hour. Just sit and relax." I said because he was getting agitated.

We waited and finally our plane arrived and we went there. We took our seats and coincidentally we all were in the same row. I narrowed my gaze at Callahan again. Yet he said not to use powers.

All through the ride, Callahan was quiet which was unusual because he would at least make some comments. It made me a little worried.

I waited until he said something but he didn't. I even chanted burritos yet he didn't respond which led me to think that he was thinking of something that wasn't a good thing.

After waiting for hours I was losing my patience as I finally asked, "What happened?"

Callahan looked at me with a pair of questioning eyes. "What do you mean?"

"You are too quiet. You haven't said anything when I chanted burritos." I said.

Corners of his lips curled up as he asked cockily, "So you were worried that I have finally stopped reading your mind?"

I gaped at him. He may have been teasing but I was worried. He wasn't wrong! I was getting too accustomed to him reading my mind that it felt surreal for me when he didn't do it.

"Don't avoid my question!" Yet I avoided his question.

He released a sigh and leaned back on the seat. "It is nothing. It is just...my instinct is going bonkers lately."

"Err... Okay? So...?"

"It feels like someone is...watching or keeping our tracks from the shadows. Especially my tracks." His jaw muscles clenched and I noticed the tension in his shoulders. "Yet, I can't get my hands on him." He said through his gritted teeth.

Then it clicked me.

"Is that why you have arranged our seats so near?" I asked.

He looked at me and then his eyes moved to others. I could see, with his one move, he could see them. He leaned again and nodded.

"Then why did you make them go with a plane? You guys could have reached faster if you had used your powers." I asked.

"I am checking if they can still track us. Using our powers means we leave behind our traits of energy. They can track us easily but as we go without using any powers, while I keep removing the small amount of traits we have, it is harder to know our traces. So I am checking if it works or not."

I looked at him with wide eyes. "So, will they come there where my family are?"

"Affirmative."

I gasped. Wait! That meant my parents and brother would be put in danger if we went there.

"You think they didn't go there even if you are staying here?" He asked, reading my thoughts.

"They did?" I froze.

"I picked up some scents there and that is why we are going there early."

I nodded. That made sense.

"Yesterday when I was away to have lunch in Hiriotus's house, they attacked one of my subjects. He is directly under me like Miorith and Droyth." He finally said what was worrying him.

"I tried to trace that bastard but he had removed his scent!" His palm that was on the handle clenched tightly. I placed my hand on his and he unclenched it.

"So, it might be one of your enemies?"

"Could be. But I hate it when they go for my subjects instead of me." His face twisted in anger. "A cowardly one, I see." He hissed.

"Then you are going to my hometown, won't they need you there?" I asked.

"I alerted them and told them to use full power and kill whoever seems suspicious."

"Err... That is too much."

"Doesn't matter. The one who got injured yesterday was my right hand man."

"I thought Droy was your right hand man."

"Droy has potential but he is still a child. He needs more experience to become my right hand man."

"Oh!" I looked at Droy who seemed to be enjoying a sweet dessert. If he heard that he would be surely hurt since he looked upto Callahan.

"He knows that. Don't worry." Callahan suddenly said. Must have read my thoughts. "He works directly under me as well but I don't give him highly dangerous tasks."

"Ho~ You are very thoughtful, Lord Devionth." I teased and he looked at me with an amused gaze.

"Lord Devionth sounds good on your mouth." His green eyes fell on my lips as my breath hitched.

I noticed lately he had been seeking some intimacy from me. Like last night, when we were sleeping suddenly his hand slid under my waist and he yanked me toward himself. I tried to lose myself but it was futile.

This brought me heat on my body and my stomach tumbled.

"Alright! Go back to your deep thinking and how to catch the culprit." I said backing away and mostly to avoid him kissing me.

"Why? Are you perhaps shying away?" He asked in a teasing manner.

"I am not!"

"Then where is my kiss for today?" He asked as a smirk played on his lips.

My face heated and I said, "No kiss! Especially when we arrive there."

"Not a chance." He scoffed as he leaned back again.

After a couple of hours, we finally arrived at my hometown, nostalgia growing in my chest. It was a small town where one side was surrounded by a large forest, the other side had a beach. My home was just 2km away from the beach and behind our house, there was the forest.

I inhaled the scent of the familiar environment, my memories coming back to me in a full swing. A smile played on my lips as I was finally meeting my parents. Well, after two weeks though.

All of us wore sunglasses as it was only 11 a.m. where I wore shorts with a crop top and Miory wore a skirt and a short top. Even though my parents never allowed me to wear too short things, they would not say anything now I guess.

Callahan had a t-shirt with a pair of jeans, his shoulder length hair fell loosely while Gretarioth had a shirt with trousers. He looked decent but hot. Droy had loose jeans and a t-shirt in which he looked like a rich spoiled kid with his ruffled blonde hair.

Callahan dialed my dad's number and they chatted for a moment.

He looked at us and said, "Your dad and mom had to go to the hospital."

"Why? What happened?" I was a bit panicked.

"Nothing happened to them. Your uncle Rick got into an accident and they went there. They said they were about to leave the hospital but I said not to rush. We will reach and meet there."

I nodded as I sighed in relief.

"Urgh! So much for coming through the plane." Gretarioth groaned.

"It is okay to experience everything." Callahan said in which Gretarioth rolled his eyes. It irked Callahan but I interrupted.

"Ah! I have an uncle who can rent us a car!" I said.

"Okay, then let's get going." Miory came in as well because we felt the tension between the brothers while Droy was sipping on his smoothie.

"But I will choose the car and I'm driving." I announced.

"Not a chance." Both Gretarioth and Callahan spoke together and then they both glared at each other.

Okay. It wasn't happening. They would fight against each other, no matter what!

"Alright! Before we go there are some things you guys need to follow."

They all looked at me.

I pointed at Droy, "No using seducing techniques."

I pointed at Miory, "No doing Chaos."

I pointed at Gretarioth, "No going for your brother's head."

I pointed at Callahan, " No wandering around half-naked."

Miory and Droy groaned while Callahan and Gretarioth both scoffed as if I was telling a joke.

"And why would I listen to you?" They both asked together and then glared at each other as I rolled my eyes. I looked at Miory and Droy for help but they had already gone away to look for a car.

"You two! This is the rule you both must follow! No fighting with each other!" I yelled.

They both glared at me and somehow I felt I was a little bunny standing before two lions.

"Anyways! I'm driving!" And I dashed away from there.

I looked for a series of cars and there I found the best car that was available.

Buick super convertible 1930s!

It was never available before and no way I was gonna ruin this chance.

"And how are we, 5 people going to fit in that?" Callahan asked and I looked at him with my adorable bunny eyes.

Callahan looked for a moment and sighed. "Fine let's get that."

And while I was driving the cute blue car, Miory was driving the other one. It was an old model of mercedes. Droy was with us and Gretarioth had to sit with Miory since they were a...couple.

I couldn't stop the smile that plastered on my face permanently as Callahan looked at me and asked, "You could have said that you are into old classics."

"Well, sometimes." I said as we drove to the plain road, a series of trees followed us as we reached the town's main road. It wasn't very crowded but it still had notable amounts of people.

We stopped at the traffic signal and I looked around as if I was a tourist, myself. This was the town I grew up in and it had a lot of memories. Some good and mostly bad but I still loved it.

And when I was thinking that my mood was getting better, a car stopped just beside ours. I hadn't seen it yet as my eyes were gazing at the nostalgic memories that these roads bore.

"Oh my god!" I heard a squeak.

All of us snapped our head at the source and my mind went blank.

"Is it you? Carson McAllen?!" A woman with brown wavy hair asked and beside him there was a man whose deep blonde hair was ruffled by the wind. He said, confirming. "Yes! She is Carson!"

I frown. Oh no! No no! Why? Why do they have to come this year?

Because he was the school's jock, Dawnson who kept bullying me throughout my whole high school and that lady beside him was Julie who was no less than Dawnson.

The smile which was on my lips a moment ago, perished as I could imagine how my festival tour this year is about to go.
