We all tried to comprehend what Andrew just said. He can see them in their devil forms!

"What do you mean?" I asked, shock and confusion hinted in my voice.

Andrew sighed as he brushed his hair with his fingers. "I can see their horns and tails even if they make human appearances."

Callahan stayed silent as his hollowed eyes were trying to see through Andrew. He seemed to be in deep thought then he asked, his voice calm and collective, "So you knew that she was a devil?"

Lately, Callahan has been portraying grim faces a lot. In normal circumstances, he would find it amusing but I guessed, the incident that happened with one of his subjects made him a bit restless. Especially, when he was frustrated by not being able to capture the culprit.

"Yes, and she had been tagging on me for the past two months," Andrew said and I gasped.

"It must be hard! Since she is a devil and she must have been making your life a living hell!" I said now feeling terrified that I had no knowledge my brother was suffering yet I couldn't help. I sighed. I failed at being a good sister.

"Err... That's the opposite, actually." Andrew said as he pursed his lips. "She is more like my slav- I mean pet." He said with a straight face.

I nodded as I sniffed. What an awful experience he had been going through. "I see- what?" I realized he said she was his pet. Pet!

"What do you mean by my pet?!" I asked now, panicking at what kind of education had been teaching him about those things. Pet?! What kind of pet?

"Well, more like, she cleans my room, washes my clothes, cleans my bathroom and sometimes cleans the house when mom and dad are not around." Andrew shrugged and I moved my eyes. Indeed, the room was neat and clean and not to mention, Andrew was never good at cleaning his rooms but now, his messed up book shelves were replaced, the bed and his chair didn't have piled up clothes and books. His tables were clean and all of his things were placed in order.

There fell a pin drop silence as the devils and I tried to register his words. She, a devil, cleans his room, bathroom and house!

Now I didn't know whom I should pity. My brother or that poor devil as he clearly stated she was his pet.

I had been thinking my brother had been suffering but in reality, it was the opposite.

Droy and Miory looked as shocked as me but Gretarioth... From his evil grin, I could tell he was finding it amusing.

I needed to talk with Andrew about that!

But Callahan bore no expression as his eyes stayed on him. There was a deadly vibe coming out of him and I didn't know why.

"Wait! Wait! Wait!" I scratched my head in frustration. "Isn't she a devil?"

Andrew nodded, "That she is."

"Why would she do that for you?" I asked. As far as I knew, devils wouldn't do anything unless they get something out of you. Did that mean he had contracted with her?

"Because I made a deal that if she does those things, I will be seduced." He said with a blank face.

A gap formed in my mouth as Callahan asked with a serious expression as his eyes narrowed to the slit, "Did you make a contract?"

"What is a contract?" He asked, raising a brow.

"A contract that binds your soul with her. It is more like a blood contract or a soul to soul contract."

Andrew thought for a moment as my heart thumped. He hadn't made a contract, had he? First, I got tricked into making a contract and now he. What would happen to our family?!

"I don't know, to be honest..." Andrew said as he still was thinking.

"After making a deal did she kiss you anywhere or have you offended her with your blood?" Callahan inquired.

"Yes. She did kiss me," Andrew scratched his head.

Callahan nodded as he said to Droy, "Droy, go check her background. She is a succubus so you might get her information."

Droy nodded and vanished.

Callahan demanded, "Give me your hands. Let me check if she had made any contracts."

Andrew stretched out his hands with a confused face and Callahan grabbed them as he looked into them. After a minute of inspection, he shook his head. "No. No contract."

I released a sigh but Andrew portrayed a shocked expression.

Gretarioth said, "Strange. She is a succubus yet she didn't do any contracts or didn't cast her spells..."

"That might be because she is a stupid demon." Andrew said. "To be honest, the day she arrived, she had been asking me when I would get seduced."

We all looked at him with blank faces. That was certainly stupid. Who would ask like that?

"Err... That's a stupid question." Miory agreed as she cringed.

"That is because she is a new devil. A minor one." Droy came back as he answered. Wow! It didn't take him long to search for her details.

We all looked at him with questioning gazes.

Droy said, "She had come from the south region. Her records are not with me but I got something." He smiled and began, "She is not a low class devil but not the higher class either. She just hasn't yet cultivated her powers."

Callahan asked, "Then how come a minor demon who has no experience is here in the human world?"

Droy shrugged. "No clue."

Andrew was listening to them and asked, "So, she is like a baby demon?"

"More likely. That explains why she didn't cast her spells or formed any contract. She doesn't even know how to do those things." Gretarioth scoffed. "No wonder she was running behind you, a human, to protect herself."

Andrew stiffened at it. He seemed to realize something and suddenly he went for the red bag. He took the bag that the demon had thrown at him. He opened it and there was a new tab but now it had a lot of cracks. He paled and hung his head as he cursed under his breath.

He clenched his fists in frustration as he stood up as if preparing to leave as I asked, "Where are you going?"

"To find her."

"What? Why? Now that she has gone, wouldn't it be better?" I asked.

Andrew looked at me with an angry gaze but it wasn't directed at me. It seemed more like he was angry at himself. An emotion washed over him and I knew what it was. Guilty. So that demon had bought him a new tab yet he insulted her. He was feeling guilty.

"Wait!" Callahan said, "Don't go outside."

Then he vanished without saying anything and it seemed the rest of the devils got rigid all of a sudden. Their postures went stiffened as they got more cautious. I could feel they had sensed something.

"What happened?" Andrew asked my question as he could feel a change in their posture.

"We sensed another demon but it had more power. Lord Devionth might have went for him." Droy said.

Andrew's eyes went wide as his knuckles turned white. "I am leaving to find Avaloth."

Miory teleported at the door blocking his path as she said, "Lord Devionth has just ordered not to go outside."

"But Avaloth is out there!" Andrew hissed and I was surprised that he wasn't scared of the devils who were around him even when they bore serious faces. If I was in his place, I would have cowered in fear by now.

Droy placed a hand on Andrew's shoulder as he said with an assuring tone, "I will go get her. Just don't go. It is not safe."

Andrew looked at him from over his shoulder and nodded.

"That won't be necessary anymore." Callahan's voice came from where he vanished a while ago. As we looked at him we saw Avaloth was in his arms, bathed in blood. She had deep wounds and she moaned in pain in her unconscious state.

I gasped at the horrible sight as Andrew seemed frozen in his place. His face paled and he seemed like he was trying to get the situation.

Avaloth's weak body laid motionless as we could see deep wounds on her chest and belly, blood splattered on her white dress. Dry tears created translucent paths on her cheeks as my heart broke from seeing her like this. Devil or not, she was still a child. As we just heard from Droy, she had no knowledge and someone might have gone to hunt her down because she was a weak target.

Andrew cursed, "Fuck! What the hell happened?" He panicked as he reached her and Callahan put her down on the floor as another moan left from Avaloth's mouth.

Callahan said, "I sensed a massive power and when I went there it was gone instead, Avaloth was there laying injured."

"Her wound is deep." Miory said, "The bleeding is not stopping." Miory was casting some sort of spell but it wasn't working.

"Aren't demons supposed to heal quickly?" I asked panicking and I looked at Andrew which made my heart break more. He stood there, his eyes portrayed sadness and the guilt he had been feeling, now wrapped in its arms. I went toward him and placed my hands around him. He was shaking from the inside after watching Avaloth. I could feel he was feeling that it was his fault and now hopelessness ruled over him.

"They would but she has no experience or any training." Miory said.

Even Droy and Callahan sat around her to stop her bleeding. But it was just too deep.

"Demons heal quickly if they have cultivated their powers but she has none." Droy said.

"She is not healing. She is not going to make it." Gretarioth said as Andrew flinched. "Unless she gets the soul or blood of a human."

All of us looked at Gretarioth. Andrew's hopeful eyes especially fell on him.

But where would we get souls now?

"To get souls, she needs to make bonds and she doesn't have any time to do that." Callahan said which led toward only the second option.

"I can offer her my blood." Andrew said, making all of us shocked at him. His determined face told he was serious about that blood offering.

"What? No!" I retorted. "If you offer her your blood, that means you are practically offering her yourself!"

Andrew looked at me with an angry gaze and hissed, "Isn't what you had done with Callahan as well? Don't interfere in my business when I never interfered in yours."

I got silenced as he said to Callahan who looked at him with worried glances. "Do anything to save her."

Callahan nodded and painted a pentagram as Droy brought out a small knife and cut his hand as Andrew's blood fell on it. Miory placed Avaloth on it

I was taken aback by Andrew's behavior and I felt hurt. Why was Andrew acting so distant toward me? He wasn't like that but now...then my eyes fell on the girl. Avaloth.

Did he...

My eyes fell on Callahan and I tried to understand why Andrew got so agitated. If it was Callahan, wouldn't I be doing the same?

I stepped back as I watched them performing the rituals and soon Avaloth opened her eyes, coughing.

A hopeful smile came across on Andrew's lips as he took her in his arms and buried his face on her shoulder.

"Don't..." A weak mumble left from Avaloth's mouth as Andrew looked at her with wide eyes.

Avaloth's eyes opened a little and she said with a broken voice, "D-don't go outside."

Callahan's brows knitted as a worried expression took over his face.

Avaloth seemed to be struggling to keep her eyes open but she wanted to say something as Andrew stroked on her back, still holding her in his arms.

"He-he will kill..." She managed to say something but not a full sentence as tears ran down. It seemed like it was getting painful to talk.

"Don't talk." Andrew said.

"He will kill you." She said with the last bit of power she could muster and went unconscious.
