[ Kokichi's PoV ]

Keebo sat in front of me, his fingers laced together as I covered my face. It was nearly eight in the evening, but I didn't feel hungry or tired at all. In fact, I was still shocked. There was a sound of a clock ticking away on the desk, and Keebo's faint humming. He seemed nonchalant as I felt my heart hammering against my chest.

Finding news as major as this wasn't ordinary.. after all. This felt life changing and.. strangely weird. Finding out you're gay without knowing? Now that's complete bullshit! But I couldn't help but kinda believe it.

"Ouma, you've been sitting like that for the past hour," Keebo started to say once again as I refused to look up at him.

"I'm gay."

Keebo scratched the back of his neck, "Um.. yes. That's the correct term for it. From what I remember, you used to tell me what a 'big gay' you are. I didn't know if you were just very happy, or you liked guys."

"I like guys." I repeated in a hoarse tone, "Wow. Actually," I pulled out the piece of paper with Shuichi's photograph in. "If this sushi guy really exists, I must have good taste!" I could slowly feel myself relax the more I repeated that sentence, "I'm super duper gay."

Keebo sighed, looking to the window as if he found this conversation boring. How insulting but still! "His name is Shuichi Saihara. He's the Ultimate Detective.. he's probably still... at the Hospital. I don't know the full details because.. I was asleep when the Monokuma alarm sounded."

"You're a bad friend," I told Keebo, who winced slightly by my comment as if my words physically hurt him. The blue eyed boy looked at the walls, avoiding my gaze.

"Jusssst kidding!" I sang, waving the photograph around the room, "If you hadn't shown me this hottie, I never would've found out I fell for him."

"Shhh!" Keebo suddenly turned back to me, looking as if I were kidding, "Ouma, seriously, you have to keep your volume down. You don't want to get arrested-."

"Psh, what for?" I held out the book Past Ouma had written, flipping through its pages and my hair waving from the small gust of wind it made. "They can't arrest me. I never showed any affection to this detective person whatsoever. I don't even know him."

Keebo suddenly grabbed me by the shoulders, making my heart jump, "Don't say that!" he demanded, his blue eyes worried, "Shuichi was your boyfriend! Aren't you going to save him from the hospital?"

I pulled away, losing all my enthusiasm, "Jeez, Keeboy, you're so annoying. Why should I save someone I don't even know? I don't care about whatever you said."

There was a pause as Keebo seemed to process my words. He looked like he didn't want to believe me. Which is fine, really. I don't care if he believes a liar like me.

"Please tell me that was a lie," Keebo sounded desperate, "Tell me you remember Saihara."

I scoffed, waving my hand absentmindedly, "Nope, I don't remember him at all. And that's not a lie!"

The other boy narrowed his eyes slightly as if he were thinking. "Then it looks like I have to show you," he announced all of a sudden, standing up and grabbing a few things such as wires and what seemed to be a cable, connected to a machine.

Without even waiting, he turned and pressed something against my neck. "What the heck are you doing?" I demanded as Keebo wordlessly flicked a lever; making a red button light up on the machine. I started to reach up and pull the wire off but was stopped by his glare.

"I said I'll show you."

Jeez.. what's up with this guy? He's super scary, but hey! It's fun to hang out with people who can switch their emotions pretty easily.

"Nishishi~! You suddenly got all serious-." I started to laugh but without warning, he pushed the button.

[ Time Skip Program ]

"Ouma."

A voice called me... but where the heck am I? There was darkness, all around. But I realized that I had my eyes closed. Open them, idiot. I scolded myself and seeing the serious face of Keebo. "About time." he held out a hand for me to take.

I ignored the hand and propped my elbow up to push myself to stand. The ground shifted beneath my feet as I scanned our surroundings to see the dark silver gates of Hope's Peak Academy..

"Yo, Keeboy," I turned to the guy, who was now holding a machine. It was a simple black box, with a strap around it similar to a camera, "Did you just teleport us or something?"

Around us, everything was shrouded in darkness, the only source of light was from the moon overhead and a few lamps. All was quiet, save for the crickets chirping and a rustle of the leaves on the trees as the gentle wind blew. I could almost relax in this atmosphere..

"Okay, what just happened?" I asked, getting back to topic. I watched curiously as Keebo seemed to fiddle with the gadget in his hands. He pulled a lever, as everything suddenly seemed to fast forward. "Holy-." I held out my arms as Keebo didn't seem fazed as he concentrated on the small screen upon it.

"Here we are.." he said after five seconds, letting go of the lever and suddenly, everything came to a halt.. "Alright," he let the gadget fall against his chest as his eyes scanned our surroundings. "This is the night that you and Saihara met. The one where you had gotten arrested."

"Uh excuse me," I held up my hands to stop him from talking further, "What the heck is this? And why are you showing it to me?"

Keebo gestured to the world around us, and I realised that the sky didn't seem to be real.. it looked pixelated and glitchy. "This is the Time Skip Program. I discovered some blueprints and the device of it inside a box labeled as Miu Iruma. I don't know who that is though.." he frowned, suddenly looking confused.

"Anyway, this Miu person probably started this gadget, but didn't have the technical know-how to actually program the world."

"From what I read in the notes, this program allows us to revisit a time in the past while we sleep or something. But this works great in the daytime too-."

I interrupted him, "Miu Iruma was an inventor.. she got sick or something, and was sent to that hospital I came from."

Keebo frowned harder, his eyebrows furrowing, "Is that so.? It's sad to hear that," he looked up at the star speckled sky, "She must've had a great mind to make something as complicated as this."

I didn't know what to say as I listened to Keebo mutter away to himself. Would anyone ever be talking about me this way in the future? With sadness in their eyes as they recalled my name? I don't think so.

"Anyway," Keebo shook his head, "Back to the topic. I brought you to this time because I want you to see this." he gestured for me to follow, and I did, because I was interested.

Beneath my feet, everything felt strange and slightly unstable, but of course, this was a program so... it was bound to be unstable sometimes. The grass didn't feel like actual grass. It was as if sandpaper was brushing against my legs and the air didn't seem like regular, cooling wind.

Keebo and I walked for a while, and eventually came across a couple, standing in the shade of an enormous tree. Their voices were low, however, I could easily recognize one of two. One figure was slightly shorter than the other and the hand gestures indicated that.. this must be Past Ouma, talking to the mysterious Shuichi Saihara.

"This is strange." I admitted honestly.

Keebo shrugged slightly, his hands fiddling with the machine, "Its like time traveling. But for a limited period or else the gadget will explode and.. well, we'll be trapped in this glitched world."

I watched as my past self talked to the blue-haired boy. Wow. I can't believe I actually fell for a boy. No actually, I could believe that. Just by looking at Shuichi Saihara... I couldn't help but like him. His voice was so soft and gentle. But carried so much sadness that even I was intrigued.

While hearing the soft lit of Saihara's voice, I found myself wanting to spend more time with the guy, so I could try to get him to open up and maybe lessen the burden he carried in each word he said. I wanted to know what would he sound like if he didn't have that feeling of sadness in his tone.

I watched with all these thoughts in my mind, seeing my past self tiptoe and kiss Shuichi on the lips, holding the front of the boy's hoodie to bring him closer. I didn't want to look away as Shuichi stared at my past self with wide eyes.

"I knew you.. didn't love me-."
I heard myself whisper as he suddenly pulled me close and kissed back with so much passion, I heard myself take a sharp breath.

Holy shit, we're so gay.

I couldn't help but break into a fit of giggles, as Keebo surveyed the scene with a small look of longing. "Alright, that's enough.." he said suddenly as he pulled out the gadget once more. A line of buttons along the side seemed to have turned red, except for a final one at the end.

"Keebo wait-!" I held out my hand to stop him. Something told me to wait a moment as I noticed  a new person hiding in the shadows. As I saw Rantaro Amami talk to Shuichi and my past self, I saw the mysterious person's glasses glinting slightly.

The figure  turned and left the scene, the hood of the hoodie fluttering slightly and the recognizable hair of his visible by the light of the moon overhead..

I stared at the retreating figure, as Keebo continued pulling at my hand. "Ouma! Quick, we have to go before time runs out." The gadget in his hands was making a urgent ticking sound, but I had to try and recall..

"He's supposed to be dead.." I whispered. I didn't move my eyes away from where he had stood. Damnit.. what was his name? Why couldn't I recall his name?

"Who is?" Keebo shouted as the wind seemed to pick up speed, blowing leaves everywhere. The rustling sounds were accompanied by a louder ticking sound emitting from the gadget. It reminded me of bomb, which was about to blow.

But all that had to wait. I had to find out why the presumably deceased Ultimate Lucky student was back at Hope's Peak Academy.

I started to move forward but was
forced back by Keebo, who was now glaring at me behind his slightly lime-green tinged glasses. "We have to go! NOW!" he shouted before pressing a button on the device. The ticking sound stopped as everything seemed to pause and move in slow motion.

And just as suddenly, there was a rush of wind and then I died.

The End.

Nah, just kidding, I didn't die, but I sure felt like I did.
