          NOTHING STAYS HIDDEN FOREVER — eternity is an awfully long time for anything at all to remain still against the storm of change that rules existence into an ordered shape of chaos. And though secrets pass into legend with all those who knew their essence being blown to dust by a gust of wind called the way of life, legends never die, nor does their mystery ever cease to shepherd historians to seek and to unveil.

In fact, some would say that the longer something has remained a secret in the eyes of history, the more the unseen forces of the universe will the necessary pieces towards unearthing the truth. Just like clockwork.

It's been thousands of years since the secret of Osiris' High Priestess was entombed with her. Since the light of day had been blocked out from ever reaching her shivering eyelashes, centuries washed the desert atop her silent prison — change had swept the board clean on Earth as well; one by one, the Ennead dismantled.

Gods left the planet. They abandoned the dimension to seek different battles and different people. They chose to perish into Eternity rather than claw to be worshipped. Only one of them was still alive to remember there once was a disaster and a High Priestess who paid the price for her greed-riddled sins.

Khonshu should have known better than to believe the visit from the spirit of Hathor was only an aid on his troubles with his Moon Knight; from the second he sensed her presence, he should have known it was more so a warning, an omen, than it was a helping hand. But there was no denying it: until Isetaari's Tomb was opened, he didn't figure out all that much.

          SO THE LEGEND GOES that the High Priestess of Osiris loved a man who swam up the Nile's waters unheard and flew with wings attached to his ankles to steal her heart with sweet words of the City of Atlantis, worlds away from her own home. It is the legend that speaks of poison slipping through his words and corrupting her heart whilst their love blossomed, but where the truth lies is far away from a song and perhaps riddled instead in the punishments they each received after the Great Calamity her magic conjured upon both their worlds.

Isetaari's heka was to blame, so her punishment was gruesome — chained and entombed, stripped of her newly achieved powers, cursed so to live forever in her solitude and degradation.

Namor, her lover from the waves, suspected conspiring partner to the Great Calamity, was cursed with forgetfulness and his wings were ripped off of him so he may live his immortality out as a gullible mortal with a short memory on a cycle.

But the Ennead watching over their punishment's fulfillment was rendered to a single God, insufficient to put them back in their place when her awakening dominoes Namor's.

          AKA . . .    In which Namor, God of Atlantis, and Isetaari, High Priestess of Osiris, return to their senses and scare Khonshu and his Moon Knight with their started quest to find the artifacts holding their true powers.

TIMELINE |    Part of my Marvel fanfic series' universe ! This book takes place after Age of Destruction Act 2 and is therefore part of TOW's 3rd Phase. Various characters and events from previous books and upcoming books of this phase will be featured/mentioned.

NOTES |   
•    This book's Namor is based off of the comics for the most part, with a couple of twists to make him belong to TOW in particular. So, don't be too confused he is nothing like the movie guy — this Namor is first of all much older, a prince of Atlantis also. After falling in love with Isetaari and getting himself involved enough to be punishable in the eyes of the Egyptian Gods, he "loses" his powers and is cursed to periodically losing his memory. AKA he's been living mortal life after mortal life.

•    At it's core, this book will have huge Tomb Raider (game trilogy) vibes, because first we have Namor and Aari go to Maya ruins to search Namor's wings (hidden there not necessarily by the Ennead directly, but definitely they have been moved around through history), then also another mythological-related trip to find Aari's Diviner artifact. On top of that, trips to places like the Lost City of Atlantis.. The Dimension City for the Ennead (tho basically abandoned) 👀👀 ~ FUN STUFF

•    "The Apocalypse Muse" 👀👀 Well, thanks to raichia's brilliant idea shoot my way, we might finally have an Omega sequel plot line that would be worthwhile enough for me to dust off my baby Daisy and put her back in the protagonist seat. If you know, you know.

•    Basically, I am really happy with how this book ties up into this Phase's theme, but also in whole of TOW, into the other projects — you could say this is an intermediary link between "Venom" and the sequel for that book (in the works), but it truly does not neglect other events currently happening on the TOW timeline, like Sierra being away, the war with the Hell Dimensions cooking...

•    As for Namor and Aari... they are sorta anti-heroes leaning towards villain status. But don't be too quick to judge them, cause tho Moon Knight is their antagonist, stuff is far more nuanced than that.
