Come on Lloyd...just a few steps...

It was currently 9 in the morning, and Lloyd had woken up, after the incidents of yesterday. He'd tried to get in some training, but it had failed since he was all over the place. The added height changed things up.

The others made it look so easy!

As the blonde finally made his way to his closet, he brought out his gi and pulled it on...

...only to remember he'd grown out of it.

Groaning, he stumbled to the kitchen, where he expected everyone to be messing around, eating breakfast. But it was deserted, except for Nya, who was poring over some blueprints.

"Morning, Lloyd," she greeted, not looking up.

Lloyd leaned on the door way to regain his balance, "Hey. Where'd the other's go?"

"Oh, they went out for a mission. Wu said not to bring you along for a few of em', just so you can get used to being...tall,"

"Great. I finally pass the standards the guys have if I ever wanted to go with them on a mission, and now I'm on the bench. Again."

"Well....at least I don't have to watch over you anymore. The boys told me the tea turned you the same age as Jay, and he's a year older so-"

The green ninja's eyes gleamed, "So I'm not the youngest anymore? Score!"

Nya rolled her eyes, but she had a grin on her face. "Sit down, I'll get you breakfast,"

With the smaller girl's help, Lloyd sat down on the chair, and Nya cleared up the blueprints, before grabbing him a Pop Tart. She toasted it, and dumped it on a plate and brought it to him, "Bon appetit!"

Smiling, Lloyd ate, while Nya washed up some dishes. Once he'd finished, the ravenette grinned.

"Come with me,"

"Wait, where are we going?"

"You'll see,"

They had arrived at Jay and Cole's room, and Nya had pulled open the wardrobe doors, before rummaging through Cole's clothes. Lloyd sat on Jay's neatly-made bed, as Nya tossed a dark green shirt at him, as well as a black hoodie, and black jeans, "These should fit, and you can wear Cole's boots with them!"

"Thank you, Nya,"

"No problem, pintsize!"

"Technically I get to call you pintsize since...I'm taller than you."

"Oh we are not doing this now!"

"Oh we are so doing this now!" Lloyd laughed as he pulled the shirt over his head. Nya dug through Jay's clothes, swiping a few hoodies as she did, "You ready?"

"Yep!" Nya turned to face him, and grinned. The clothes fit like a glove.

"Perfect! I'm gonna ditch these in our room and I'll meet you at the front,"

"You still haven't told me where we're going!"

"We're going shopping!"

"Oh okay...wait. WHAT?!"

A while later, the duo arrived at the mall, and Nya dragged him into Cliff's Clothing.

"So...what exactly are we looking for?" Lloyd asked, staring at the clothes on display.

"Something...casual. I can loosen up your gi, and we're just here to find some normal clothes you can wear that aren't...ninja-ey."

"Is that even a word?"

"As of now, yes!"

Nya searched through racks of clothing, asking Lloyd what he thought of them. He did pick out several, if not, all. As they made their way to checkout, something catches Nya's eye.

"Hold this," she murmured, thrusting the basket in Lloyd's arms. She disappeared, before returning with a dark green fedora. Grinning, she reaches on her tip toes and places it on the blonde's head, "Perfect!"

Lloyd laughed, before reaching for a pair of glasses on a stand, and placing them on Nya's face. She giggled.

"Dude, me with glasses?"

"What? They look cool! Just like how you used to paint my nails when I was...smaller."

"Nothing's changed, Lloyd," she reminded him gently, "You're just taller, and more wiser. To us, you're still our favourite green bean! How about this: I'll buy you donuts if you promise not to tell Jay about his missing hoodies,"

That cheered Lloyd up, "Deal. This calls for picture time!" He pulled his phone out, nearly knocking over a jewellery stand in the process and takes a selfie of the two of them, and then shows it to the ravenette, who grins.

"Should we post it on our shared page?"

"Sure, why not!"

As Nya payed for the clothes and the fedora, Lloyd posted it on their shared Instagram page, and it started blowing up with likes, and comments from fangirls.

"Now, I believe you owe me a doughnut,"

They exit the store and head into The Mad Hatter, where Nya ordered two doughnuts and some milk to go with it. Lloyd nearly stuck the straw up his nose, but that's a whole other story.

They stumbled home, Lloyd crashing into nearly every lamppost in Ninjago, and Nya steering him along, until they both gave up and called an Uber.

Once they were inside, Lloyd sighed sadly.

"Should I just try and get a life-changing injury and be on wheels?"

"I don't think Wu would appreciate that,"

"True...but then I can give Kai the green gi and he can take on my father, while I learn how to walk!"

Nya leaned back and pulled out the fedora, "As much as Kai would like that, Wu would put you on Dragon Duty for at least a month, if not, the rest of your living days."

"Why does everything have to be so difficult when it comes to me?"

Nya shrugged, "Cos. You're the green ninja. You're everyone's beacon of hope. You're our Katniss Everdeen, our Mockingjay,"

"Okay, first of, who's that? Also, why you gotta be so cold about that?"

The girl sat up, "First of all, it's me, I tell it like it is. Second, have you never seen the Hunger Games? Like, at all?"

Lloyd shook his head obliviously.

"Well it's a good thing we have an off day tomorrow, cos you and I are having a movie marathon tonight, kid."

"I'm older than you!"

They arrived home, and ditched the shopping bags on Lloyd's bed, only to see that the other's had arrived.

"Where'd you two disappear to?" Cole asked, popping some cake in his mouth.

Jay appeared beside him, "Also, have any of you seen my hoodies? It's freezing, and I can't find them anywhere?"

"Must be in the wash," Lloyd lied, winking at Nya, who grinned before turning to the older teens.

"And we were out buying some clothes for Lloyd," she explained, kissing Jay's cheek and going off to help Zane with dinner. Jay stared lovingly after her.

"Boy, she's something else!"

"Hey! Don't be making googly-eyes over my sister and go get a shower! You're drenched in sweat!"

Dinner approached, and Lloyd managed to get from his room to the dining room without falling over. Success!

They ate, and talked over mashed potatoes, peas, chicken, and salad.

As they finished eating, Zane looked at Lloyd, "So, we decided that instead of waiting until you've figured out how to walk by yourself, we're gonna train you, and be there for you,"

Lloyd smiled, "Thank you,"

Kai shook his head, "Don't thank us. Nya put in a word for you, and the quicker you're able to get back on your feet, the better,"

And like they said, they took turns training him. They started with balance, giving him pointers, and sticking tape on the floor, as a simple obstacle. They proceeded with mini games, such as not stepping on the crack, and easy parkour.

Then, it was the final test.

They stuck duct tape down in a single straight line, from one end of the hallway to the other. Kai tied a blindfold around Lloyd's eyes, and spun him around before pushing him forward.

"Now walk, little man!"

Cole, Jay and Nya waited on the other side with Zane. Lloyd strode forward, not falling or tripping once. He reached the end of the hallway, and everyone cheered.

Cole ruffled the blonde's head, "Whaddya guys think? Is he ready?"

Kai grabbed Lloyd and gave him a noogie, "I'd say so!"
