Okay, so for the ship name for Aerlinniel and Legolas, Aerlas and Leginniel kept getting tied. So, since I am on vacation visiting family right now, I decided to ask them. The majority of them chose...Leginniel! Leginniel is the winner! :D Okay, I'll stop blabbering, now on with the story!

Aerlinniel POV

I sit up and gasp. The first thing that I notice is that my head hurts. I'm not really sure what happened. My hand goes to my head and I flinch. The last thing I remember was Imryll shouting and then I got hit on the head.

Where am I? I slowly get up, feeling a bit dizzy. I find the wall and run my hand along it. At first, all I feel is hard wall, but then I feel bars.

I'm in a cell.

Oh no, I need to get back to Bilbo and the Dwarves. Where are Mallory and Imryll? I don't hear their heartbeats. I only hear one other heartbeat but I don't recognize it. I need to get out of here, but how?

Bilbo POV

It is night at Laketown. The Dwarves and I are sneaking through the town toward the armory, and we are trying to hide from the watchmen. We hide behind a boat as two watchmen walk by.

"Shh! Keep it down." Dwalin whisper shouts.

"As soon as we have the weapons, we make straight for the mountain. Go, go, go!" Thorin informs us.

Thorin points to Nori, who gets a running start and runs up a pyramid of Dwarves who have pressed themselves against the walls of the city armory. He goes through the second floor window.

"Next." Says Thorin.

That's me. I run up the pyramid of Dwarves and through the window.

Soon, a few of the other Dwarves are now in the armory, and begin collecting the weapons that are stored here. Kili struggles under a load of several different weapons, and Thorin hands him another one.

Thorin hands Kili a weapon, "You all right?"

"I can manage. Let's just get out of here." Kili replies.

I hear a loud noise and look over to see Kili falling down the steps. The weapons he was holding make a terrible clanging noise. In the distance, I can hear the watchmen yell out, and running footsteps approaching.

"Run!" Dori yells.

The Dwarves and I grab weapons, but several guards point pikes at us. Kili has a dagger to his throat.

"Get off of me!" Dwalin demands as they drag us away.

They stop us and we stand there until someone comes out.

"What is the meaning of this?" He asks.

"We caught 'em stealing weapons, sire."

"Ah. Enemies of the state, then."

"This is a bunch of mercenaries if ever there was, sire."

"Hold your tongue. You do not know to whom you speak. This is no common criminal. This is Thorin, son of Thrain, son of Thror!" Dwalin says and gestures at Thorin.

Thorin steps forward. The crowd murmurs in amazement.

"We are the dwarves of Erebor." Thorin says. "We have come to reclaim our homeland. I remember this town and the great days of old. Fleets of boats lay at harbor, filled with silks and fine gems. This was no forsaken town on a lake! This was the center of all trade in the North. I would see those days return. I would relight the great forges of the Dwarves and send wealth and riches flowing once more from the halls of Erebor!"

The people cheer and clap.

"Death! That is what you will bring upon us." I turn to see that it is Bard that is talking. "Dragon-fire and ruin. If you awaken that beast, it will destroy us all."

"You can listen to this naysayer, but I promise you this. If we succeed, all will share in the wealth of the mountain. You will have enough gold to rebuild Esgaroth ten times over!" Thorin says to the crowd.

The people shout in excitement and they applaud.

"All of you! Listen to me! You must listen! Have you forgotten what happened to Dale?!" Bard says and the people quiet down. "Have you forgotten those who died in the firestorm?! And for what purpose? The blind ambition of a mountain-king so driven by greed, he could not see beyond his own desire!"

"Now, now, we must not, any of us, be too quick to lay blame. Let us not forget that it was Girion, Lord of Dale, your ancestor, who failed to kill the beast!"

"It's true, sire. We all know the story: arrow after arrow he shot, each one missing its mark."

"You have no right, no right to enter that mountain!" Bard says to Thorin.

"I have the only right." Thorin tells him then turns and faces the one who seems to be in charge. "I speak to the Master of the men of the Lake. Will you see the prophecy fulfilled? Will you share in the great wealth of our people? What say you?

He thinks for a few seconds, then smiles and points his finger at Thorin.

"I say unto you...welcome! Welcome and thrice welcome, King under the Mountain!" He says and opens his arms in welcome, and the crowd erupts in cheers.

Thorin climbs up a few steps and turns to face the crowd. The people hug each other in excitement and joy.

~the next morning~

We are getting ready to leave when i notice someone is missing. "You do know we're one short. Where's Bofur?"

"If he's not here, we leave him behind." Thorin tells me.

"We have to, if we're to find the door before nightfall. We can risk no more delays." Balin says.

We are all getting on the boat, but Thorin stops Kili before he can get in.

"Not you." Thorin says to him. "We must travel with speed, you will slow us down."

"What are you talking about? I'm coming with you." Kili says, thinking that Thorin is joking.

"No."

"I'm going to be there when that door is opened, when we first look upon the halls of our fathers, Thorin."

"Kili, stay here. Rest. Join us when you're healed."

"I'll stay with the lad. My duty lies with the wounded." Oin says as he gets out of the boat.

"Uncle, we grew up on tales of the mountain. Tales you told us. You can't take that away from him!" Fili says to Thorin.

"Fili." Thorin sighs.

"I will carry him, if I must!

"One day you will be king, and you will understand. I cannot risk the fate of this quest for the sake of one dwarf, not even my own kin."

Fili looks at Kili, then steps out of the boat. Thorin tries to stop him. "Fili, don't be a fool. You belong with the Company."

To which Fili says, "I belong with my brother."

Fili pulls away from Thorin and goes to join Kili and Oin.

~~~
The rest of the Company and I are in the boat, heading across the lake toward the Lonely Mountain. Soon we get to where we needed to go. We all get out of the boat and start climbing the foothills of the mountain.
Thorin runs on top of an embankment overlooking a valley. The other Dwarves and I join him. I look at the other end of the valley.
"What is this place?"
Balin replies, "It was once the city of Dale. Now it is a ruin. The desolation of Smaug."
"The sun will soon reach midday; let's find the hidden door into the mountain before it sets. This way!"
I look around for Aerlinniel and Mallory and Imryll, but they are nowhere to be seen. Thorin told them to meet us here.
"Uh, where are Aerlinniel and the other two Elves. Shouldn't they be here by now?" I say.
"Thorin!" I hear someone shout and turn around to see Mallory and Imryll. Where is Aerlinniel?
"Aerlinniel, she's been kidnapped." Mallory says, out of breath.
"We don't know where she is."
Oh no, poor Aerlinniel.
"We have to save her." I say to Thorin.
"No, we need to keep going we need to reach the mountain before nightfall." Thorin tells me.
I think of something else,"Wait...is this the overlook? Gandalf said to meet him here. On no account were we-"
Thorin interrupts me, "Do you see him? We have no time to wait upon the wizard. We're on our own."
Thorin turns and walks away. "Come."
The other dwarves follow him. I look back at the city, conflicted. Aerlinniel can take care of herself. She'll be alright. At least, I hope she will.
