• (Lucy's POV) •

~ flashback: day after proposal ~

I got dragged down the stairs and Capricorn sorted my bleeding hand out, then I was left alone in the kitchen. After what happened last night, I really wasn't in the mood for this. I just.... I just....

Then I heard footsteps coming from the hall. I looked through the door and saw Natsu, walking slowly down the stairs and into the kitchen, where I was.

He walked in and ignored me, just like I thought he would. There was a lot of tension in the room, since it was only the two of us. He got out a bowl and a spoon, then some of his favourite cereal, and finally the milk, then sat down at the small table opposite me.

"What happened to your hand?" He asked, his voice cracking slightly. I saw his face; he'd been crying too, and he had a small cut on his lip.
"N-nothing," I replied, looking down. "Just some glass, that's all."

There was an awkward silence.

"What about you?" I questioned, a hint of sadness in my tone of voice. "You don't look too good yourself."
"It's nothing." He told me.

I got up, and began to walk away. When I got to the door, I was stopped.
"Luce?" I froze, not turning round or replying. What was he gonna do?

"I still love you Luce."

I turned to face him, tears streaming down my face. H-he, he still loves me?

He stood up, and I ran over, embracing him in a warm hug. His strong arms enveloped my dainty body, and I just cried on his shoulder.

"I-I'm so sorry." I wailed. "I-I-I-" I was interrupted.
"Shhhh....." He whispered in my ear. "I'm the one that should be sorry." I felt warm droplets land on my shoulder.
"I shouldn't of... I shouldn't-"

We both broke down, unable to say anything. We just held each other, crying on the other's shoulder.

"I still love you too, Natsu." I whispered, sniffing.

And there we stayed, letting out our emotions while standing in each other's embrace. I cried and cried for what felt like hours (but it was probably just a couple of minutes) until I finally stopped.

I looked up at Natsu, who had a reassuring smile on his face. He wiped away the last tear that had fallen from my dry eyes, then held my cheek in his hand.

Our faces inched closer, I could feel his gaze upon my lips, then the gap closed. I was experiencing my heaven for what would probably be for the last time in my life.

We suddenly stopped, remembering that we were still in the kitchen, and gave each other a look. One of those looks.

He grabbed my hand (the one that wasn't hurt) and ran up the stairs, me following close behind. We got to my room and he closed the door behind us, locking it.

And that's where it happened. The one person I truly love took something from me, something I could never get back. Did I care? No, I was happy it was Natsu and not Sting.

I was happy that Natsu was the one who took my virginity away.

~ flashback: day of wedding ~

If been waiting in this room for a while, I'd spoken to my mother, Levy, and some other close friends of mine. I had to fake a smile, pretend I was happy marrying Sting, when in reality I was dying inside.

Suddenly, there was a knock on the door. But not any old knock, it was a certain pattern I'd heard ever since I was 13.

"Natsu." I said. He opened the door and walked in, closing it behind him.

We stood in silence, staring at each other for a while. I couldn't seem to draw my attention away from his beautiful onyx eyes.

"Are you going to tell him?" He asked me. He's talking about what we did, what he took from me.

I recently found out I was pregnant, but Natsu is the only one who knows. It's been roughly two or three weeks, and small signs are beginning to show. It's Natsu's baby.

"Well, he'll find out sooner or later." I replied.
"He's gonna be pissed at you if you don't tell him." He said.

"How am I supposed to say it though? It's not the type of thing you randomly bring up in a conversation."
"You're right." Natsu sighed.

"Why did we Luce?" He asked. "I knew we shouldn't of, and he's going to find out, and-"
"Calm down." I walked over and smiled at him. "It was my idea, I'll take the blame."

"That's what I'm worried about." He held my shoulders and looked at the floor. "I don't want you to take the blame. If he finds out what we did, what I did, who knows what he'll do."

"And I won't be there to protect you."

"Natsu." I said his name more boldly this time, "I told you, I'll be perfectly fine. I'm not going to die, and I won't get hurt."

"So, what will it be sweetheart?" Sting smirked.
"I'd rather burn in the depths of hell than see to your reasoning." I spat.
"Luce! Don't! What are you doing!?" Natsu cried.

"If you die, the baby dies too!" He yelled. I instantly saw him cover his mouth. Shit. Natsu! Gasps could be heard from all around the arena, from literally everyone.

"B-baby?" The real Sting whispered into my ear. "What baby? It's not my baby."
"I-I-It's..." I stuttered, I couldn't get my words out.
"It's Natsu's baby, isn't it?" Sting growled. I nodded.

"Why?" He asked, his grip on my wrists getting tighter. "Why would you give the enemy another heir?"
"He's not the enemy Sting." I told him, tears beginning to fall down my cheeks.

"I'll tell you who the enemy is Lucy," he growled, walking closer to the edge. When I was about to fall, he looked at me with soulless eyes. This man, he wasn't really alive. This isn't the Sting I knew.

"The enemy is you." He whispered, letting me fall to my death.
