It was time for another 1 versus 1.  The Dragonslayers were on edge wairing for the names to be announced.

"Gajeel versus Laxus!" Metallicana grinned.

"Do you think its because of when he ran away?" Natsu asked Laxus.

"I don't know, but could you hold this?" Laxus handed Natsu his cloak.
'I got it. Go kick his ass, Laxy!"

Laxus grinned and stepped out into the arena. Gajeel gulped and prepared himself as he stepped up to face Laxus.

"Iron dragon iron club!" Gajeel attacked first.

Laxus countered with a lightning Dragon roar.

Gajeel, hit the ground with a crunch but he managed to stand back up looking like he ate Erza's strawberry cake.

"Iron dragon iron sword!" Gajeel needed to land a blow on Laxus.

Laxus wasnt paying attention to Gajeel's feet when he attacked. Thats how Gajeel managed to trip him mid attack and land two blows on Laxus before he was thrown off.

"Dirty trick, tin can." Laxus grinned, "Lightning dragon's jaw!"

Gajeel  was wiped even before the next attack. Gajeel tried to dodge but failed.

Gajeel was a groaning mess who could barely move.
"If I can move, I can stand. If I can stand I can fight!"

"Iron dragon lance!" Gajeel muttered pulling a peice of metal out from his pockets and ate it.

Laxus dodged easily. "I can end this with a single punch."

"oh yeah?" Gajeel felt alot better.

"Lightning dragon raging bolt!" Laxus took notice of the metal Gajeel ate.

Gajeel took the hit and faltered.
Gajeel still managed to counter

"Iron...dragon...roar.." It was barely a croak.

Laxus got hit right in the face from it but all he did was stumble.

when the dust cleared it was obvious that Gajeel passed out while Laxus barely had a scratch on him.
