Levy P.O.V

"Gajeel?" His face had gone pale and his eyes unfocused. "Gajeel?" suddenly started to head face first to the floor, his eyes rolling into the back of his head. I caught him but he was so heavy I fell to my knees.

"Gajeel?! Lily! Lily!!" I began to panic. Lily ran out of a back room and when he saw Gajeel he transformed and picked him up. "What happened?!" "I'll explain later, we have to get him to the guild."

He nodded and ran out the door, carrying Gajeel on his shoulder. I ran as fast as I could and opened the guild doors for him. Everyone went silent as we ran through. Wendy stood up but I held my hand out to her. "Stay right there!" I shouted at her.

She looked worried but did as I told her. Mirajane and the mast followed us to the infirmary. Lily laid Gajeel down as I closed the door. "What is going on Levy?" the master asked.

I took a few deep breaths trying to calm myself down. "Gajeel is sick... The stone has already taken effect.... I don't know how long before he..." I choked up, wiping the stray tears that tried to fall. I told them about Rouge.

"I don't know where to even begin looking for a cure... And I know Wendy will want to help but she can't come in here. It highly contagious. Natsu will probably start getting sick soon too."

They were silent for a long time. Markarov looked up at Mira. "Send for Porlyusika. As soon as Natsu gets back send him here. Since he is already sick it won't hurt for him to be here with Gajeel. Try to keep him away from Wendy and Laxus." She nodded and hurried downstairs.

I sat besides Gajeels bed and looked at his unconscious face. His skin was pale and it looked like he was have difficulty breathing. I put my head in my hands and tried not to sob.

Lucy P.O.V

"Yay, I finally have rent money!" I cheered as I followed Natsu. Our overnighter paid just enough with some left over. "Hey how but I treat us all to breakfast?" I smiled.

"Aye sir!" Happy called. "Eh. I'm not really hungry." Happy and I stared at him"Eh?!" I tugged on his vest,"Hey you sick or something?" I jokingly asked.

He shrugged." Nah, just no hungry. Head kind hurts too." I frowned a little at him. He grinned,"Honest I'm fine! I'm gonna drop my stuff off at home, I'll see you at the guild." I nodded as he ran off with Happy.

I headed towards the guild, humming lightly. As I walked in the first thing I noticed was how quiet things were. "Eh?" I looked around. Everyone was silent and had worried expressions.

"Lucy-san!" Wendy called as she ran up to me. She looked like she was going to cry. "Wendy what's wrong?" she sniffed as she looked up at me. Then she told me about The Dragon Slayers Stone.

I stared at her wide eyed, I had to sit down before I fell over. Rouge was dead, Natsu and Gajeel could die? "No way," I whispered. The doors opened and Porlyusika walked in, followed by Jet who had fetched her.

Everyone watched her as she headed up to the infirmary. I decided to follow her. I walked in behind her and saw Levy by Gajeels bed. She looked like she had been crying.

It had barely been a day but Gajeel looked awful. His skin was pale and his breathing ragged. He was unconscious but every now and then a sick cough would rack his body.

"Everyone step out while I examine him." Porlyusika said. Levy tried to protest but was quickly silenced and sent out with the master, Lily and I.

"Oh Lu-chan!" Levy cried as she suddenly clung to me. I held on to her as she sobbed and tried not to tear up. Natsu would be like that soon.

"Lucy, where is Natsu?" the master asked. "He headed home. Do you want me to get him?" he nodded. "Do you want to come with me Levy?" she shook her head.

I left her with Lily and the master and ran out the doors.

Gajeel P.O.V

I felt like I was on fire and my head felt like it was going to split in two. My chest ached and my throat was raw. I forces my eyes open and was met face to face with an old woman.

"Gah!" I jumped. She slapped me hard on the arm."Is that any way to act to someone who is trying to save you boy?" Porlyusika snapped.

"Uh sorry." I grumbled as I sat up. I coughed hard and doubled over. Damn I felt pathetic. "Take this." she handed my a small cup of clear liquid.

"What is it?" she simply glared at me. I grumbled and took it, downing it. It was bitter and hit my empty stomach in a nauseous way. "That should help slow the symptoms plus relieve some of the pain. Its been a hundred years at least since this last happened so I don't know how well the medicine will work." I nodded.

"Where's the shrimp?" I asked. "She's outside, I will let her back in in a moment. Other than Natsu have you made any contact with any other dragon slayers?"

I thought for a moment. The pounding in my head was less so it was easier to think. "Will Rouge obviously I don't think..." then I remember and sighed. "I passed Laxus at the train station when I got home. He was headed out on a job."

She nodded and headed towards the door. She opened it and let Levy and Lily in. Levy sat by my bed and smiled a little, her eyes puffy and red.

"Hey." she said softly. "How are you feeling?" I rolled my eyes and grinned at her. "Peachy." she tried not to giggle. She gently took my hand and I tried to ignore the heat in my cheeks. I remember what happened when she first came to my house this morning.

She was quiet as she held my hand and I gently squeezed her hand. "Hey I won't let this thing kick me. I'm a dragon slayer remember." I grinned but another hard cough made me double over. She looked at me worried but I waved it off.

"I will save you." she said quietly. "Me needing saving by a bookworm, what has the world come to." I joked. She rolled her eyes but smiled.

"Will you be ok for awhile? I'm gonna try to find something to help." I nodded. "I can send Lily after you if something happens." She nodded before standing up. She suddenly blushed bright red before kissing my forehead and running out the door.

My face grew hot as I touched my forehead. Lily snickered and I glared at him. "Shut up cat."
