Levy P.O.V

Lucy and I tripped over each other as we rushed out of the train. We grabbed our bags and ran as fast as we could towards the guild. We threw open the doors and didn't even stop. People moved out of our way as we bolted up the stairs,cheers erupting from all around.

We burst into the infirmary and had to stop to catch our breath. "Hey Luce... Levy." Natsus weak voice brought out attention to him. He looked awful. He had dark bags under his eyes and he was deathly pale. His skin sagged lightly around his face. Laxus was in the opposite bed. He wasn't as bad as Natsu but he was still very pale. Mira was sitting beside Laxus, holding his hand and her eyes were slightly red.

I opened the case and handed a flower to Lucy and took one to Mira. "You really think this little flower is going to help us?" Laxus asked as he tried not to cough."I know it will. It healed Wendy. Drink as much of that as you can." I smiled.

He frowned a little as Mira handed it to him but he still drank it. Lucy had to help Natsu, he was too weak to even sit up. "It's sweet." he chuckled a little. I looked around. "Where's Gajeel?" "He wanted to be alone so we got him his own room." Mira said as she looked over at me.

I nodded and hurried towards his room. I opened the door to find him sleeping. I smiled sadly at his poor state. He was ten times worse than Natsu. If I hadn't have known it was him, I wouldn't have recognized him. Pantherlily was on the edge of his bed, wiping his mouth with a now bloody towel.

Lily looked up at me."Levy..." "Hey Lily" I smiled a little but he didn't return it. I immediately began to panic. "What's wrong?"

He sighed. "Gajeel has been asleep for three days.... Ever since Wendy called from Sabertooth. I have tried but he won't wake up."

I thought my heart was going to stop. I hurried to his side as Lily jumped off the bed. Now that I looked closer, he was hardly breathing, his chest barely rising. "Gajeel..." my voice was only a whisper as I put my hand on his face. It was cold as ice.

I tried to hold in the tears as I gently shook him. "Please wake up... You said you would be fine!... You cant... You can't leave me..."the tears began to flown before I could stop them I fumbled in the bag and held one of the flowers. I lifted his head gently and tried poor the nectar into his mouth. The crimson liquid only dribbled down his chin.

"Damn it Gajeel don't do this to me!" I took another flower and poured it into my mouth. It had been days since it left the mountain, but the nectar was still cold as ice. I pressed my lips to his, forcing the nectar into his mouth.

I gently laid him back on the bed and looked down at him. I tried to hold in my tears as I watched him. At this point, only a miracle would save him.

Lily P.O.V

I left Levy only to be with Gajeel, not knowing if this would be their final moment together or not. I walked into the main infirmary with the others. Laxus already had some color back in his face.

"Hey Lily." Lucy smiled. I tried to smile back but my heart was too heavy. "What's the matter?" she asked. Laxus, Natsu and Mira now had the same down cast expression i did. "Gajeel is in bad shape... He may be to far gone for anything to help him."

Tears filled Lucy's eyes as she covered her mouth. She stood but I shook my head."Let Levy have some time with him..." She nodded a little while she sat back down.

The air was heavy and filled with sorrow. That day there was a mixture of joy and sadness in the guild, no one saw Levy for the rest of the day.
