We sat in my truck on our way to Waffles. I was driving and Hunter had given up his seat to Justin, and he sat in the back. I pulled into the lot, parking in the spot nearest the door. I turned off the truck, walking inside after the guys had closed the doors. I hit the lock button on the key fob twice so it honked. I smirked at Charlet, who got up and hugged me. When Justin and Hunter walked in, she looked at Justin, who blushed. I smirked again, watching the two of them. Charlet walked over to Justin, trying to hide the usual skip in her step.

"Hello! My name's Charlet! I'm one of Raiyne's best friends and just love meeting new people!" She exclaimed. I saw Justin shrink back a little, and smiled.

"Char, he's kinda shy. Let him warm up to you before you pounce." She nodded, stepping back. She passed Hunter and Justin menus.

"Usual, Rai?" I nodded and she asked the guys for their drinks. Hunter ordered water like normal, and Justin ordered the same. Char brought up a chair, sitting in it backwards after placing our orders. "So, Rai, Hunter, who's this nice-looking stud?" She asked. Justin blushed while Hunter facepalmed.

I ship it, I thought. They all looked at me. "I said it out loud, didn't I?" They all nodded, Char and Justin's faces crimson. Hunter was smirking at me, nodding slowly. I smiled back, reaching over for his hand. He wrapped his hand around mine while Charlet and Justin tried to get rid of their blushes.

"Char, this is Hunter's brother, Justin. Justin, this is Charlet , or Char." They shook hands and I squealed before slapping my hands over my mouth. Hunter, Charlet, and Justin looked over at me. Hunter had a goofy grin on his face as he sidled over to me.

"Having fun embarrassing them, Rai?" He asked. I smiled softly, nodding before looking at my watch.

"Crap. We've gotta get back to HQ," I said. Hunter nodded before walking over to Justin and Charlet.

"Excuse us, Charlet. We've gottago," he stated, gently pulling Justin towards the door. I watched as Charlet smiled after Justin looked at her. He gave her a shy little smile, and I smirked before hopping into the driver side of the truck. Hunter opened the door for the passenger side and Justin opened the rear door, swinging inside. Hunter did the same, and I smiled. I put the truck in gear and started to back out, looking in my rearview mirror. I saw a glimpse of familiar brown hair and pale skin. I slammed on my brakes, Hunter and Justin looking at me in bewilderment. I shook my head, putting the gearshift in park. I rested my head against the steering wheel, breathing deeply. I looked in the rearview mirror again, and sighed.

Hunter rested his hand on my shoulder. "You alright?" His voice was low enough so only I could hear him. I shook my head.

"I..." I trailed off, struggling to level my breathing. "I thought I saw him," I said. Hunter nodded, unbuckling himself before getting out. I caught his meaning and carefully slid over the gearshift into the passenger seat. Hunter slid into the driver's seat, quickly pulling out of the parking lot. When we got back to the headquarters, I made my way to my apartment before sliding the lock into place. I curled up on my bed, trying to calm down. The sighting rattled me more than I would care to admit. I closed my eyes, trying to figure out why I'd frozen up. I personally hated being so paranoid. Shortly after, I fell asleep.

Hunter walked me to my room. I looked over at him, still finding it a little hard to believe he was my brother. He walked in after I did, and sat on my bed. I stood, preferring not to sit. Spending too much time in crates made me jumpy. Hunter looked at me, making a small calm down gesture. I sat down in a plush chair, sighing.

"So?" Hunter asked. I looked up at him.

"Y-Yeah?" He smirked.

"What'd you think of Char?" I felt my face flush as I looked away. I heard him chuckle. "You like her, don't you?" I scratched at my blush. "You do!" He yelped. I looked at him.

"What ya gonna do about it?" He smirked.

"Tell Rai, and she'll tell Char," he stated simply. I jumped up, trying to smother him by body-slamming him. He didn't move and I fell to the floor.

"Please don't, Hunter. I don't need the stress of trying to figure out if she likes me or not right now." He smirked down at me from my position on the floor.

"No promises."
