Shinichi's POV

"Let us go unless you want your girl to survive. Drop your Weapons." I heard Gin shout.
She had run in his hands. He has no weapons on him so he was strangling Ran. Ran couldn't move. Well great. What should I do?

I saw Hattori drop his Katana. Kazuha dropped her pocket knife and string. It was only my left. I took out my pocket knife, string, and a little bomb. The last one was a gun on my back. I took it out.

"Sorry Ran. I hope you survive." I said. I aimed the gun at Gin. I had to believe in her again. I hope she learned a trick I taught her. "Sacrificing for a criminal. Huh. I wonder how long you can cope with that. Gin strangled Ran harder. I hear her moan in pain.

I still kept my patience. Hattori and Kazuha looked at me in disbelief. Ran didn't moan or grown anymore. She was lifeless. I heard Gin mutter under his breath. "So what are you going to do now?" I asked. I heard two gun shots. One of them Kazuha caught it. One of them pierced through Heiji's Lungs.

I shot at Gin in both legs and in both shoulders. He won't be able to move in a while. Haibara came to do the treatment for Hattori. I was so in two places and the lung and the abdomen. But I didn't feel the pain. I just walked to the lifeless Ran.

I sat and waited. To wake up. If I was correct she would wake up. I felt her heart bet going faster. She was awake. The trick I told her succeeded.

*flashback*

"Ran. If you get strangled use this trick." I said.
"What?" she answered.
"Stop your heart from beating." "How?"
"Just force it. It doesn't matter if your heart beat stops for a minute."
"OK. I will remember that."

*end*

She woke up and hugged me. I hugged her back. "Did we succeed?" she asked. I nodded. She was happy. But I fell asleep in her arms.

Ran's POV

I'm happy. Now Shinichi is safe in my hands. I was happy till I heard heavy breathing. Shinichi had his eyes closed and he was unconscious. No, no. Please no.

"Ai-chan." I shouted. She came. She was rather surprised at his state. He did his treatment but he needed to be taken to the doctors to do surgery. They called the ambulance and I stayed by his side. I keep holding my hands until he was in the surgery room. Heiji-kun was having surgery as well. Two detectives in the surgery room. I and Kazuha-chan were the only ones waiting out side. Please stay alive.
