You can't help but notice a man like that. Even the most indifferent woman would look at him. Ok, I admit it. I staked my eyes on him. He's handsome, I won't lie.

He's staring at the brown-haired lady. "Elva, in ten minutes in my office," he says. He's discreetly turning towards me. "Good evening," he tells me, wearing a smile.

I think he thought it strange that a woman like me was found here in the private room. To be in here, I passed the money test, Mr. High nose, I answered in my mind. I nodded my head discreetly without talking to him, and I went smugly to the position of the table that Elva pointed out to me.

The croupier looked at me with a welcoming smile. I sat in the chair among the four men who looked at me frowning. Obviously, it wasn't my fault at all, but they had lost a lot of money, and the smile had disappeared from their faces.

I'm giving my credit card to the croupier. He checked the card on the black device next to him and found that the amount is inside.

"You have $ 4.500,00 available. The amount you can dispose of is $ 3.000,00 for a single bet. Do you want to continue?" he asks me politely.

I take a quiet breath and I open my mouth to talk, but I regret it by biting my lower lip.

"Will you continue?" he asks me again. "You may try at roulette once, without money," the croupier continued.

"Yes, I'll try," I say courageously.

I'm betting on 16, and I'm waiting patiently for the ball to stop. The distinctive sound was ringing in my ears as he was bringing laps into the roulette wheel. It stops at number 3.

The four men shook their heads angrily, confirming again mostly to themselves, that even I wouldn't have been lucky to win.

"I bet normally, $ 3.000,00 on Zero 1, Zero 2, Zero 3," I popped up abruptly.

The four men are awkwardly tightening their lower lips, confident I'll lose as they did.

I stayed quiet without the classic anxiety that most people have right now. I was determined to play even if I'd lose. The ball stopped at Zero. The croupier swallowed dryly; the four men were surprised.

In bets such as these, the doubling of the initial amount does not apply. Each winning bet is multiplied by five times. Elva told me that before by raising her eyebrow with arrogance.

I just won by the Zero 1, 2, 3 the amount times 15. So... I just won $ 45.000,00? It's not true, is it?

The croupier looks at me with a worried look about whether to continue. I'll play again. I'm betting again on Zero. The ball is spinning, and the croupier seems confident that another number will come.

The ball stops on 2. The croupier rolls his eyes like he doesn't believe it. The 4 men around me watch with interest and having fun that the croupier frowns. They feel like they settle the score with him.

I got Zero 2 again, and the amount was multiplied by 5 more times. Jesus Christ, it's not real, I'm in a dream of those that look impossible, and I will wake up in a bit, right?

The croupier looks at me with his lips tightened and waits anxiously for my next move. The four men around me are screaming unanimously, "Play more!"

I look at them fleeting with a faint smile, and I think about it for a while. I will play. After all, my own $ 3.000,00 is back to me. I'm betting again on Zero, and the croupier throws the ball into the roulette with a little more power than before.

We've all staked our eyes on the circular movements of the ball, waiting impatiently for it to stop. There were heard sudden screams of joy from the four men when the ball stopped on 3.

The croupier puffed in sweat. I was about to tell him not to show his disappointment to the players when they win. We know that these games of chance are more or less rigged. But sometimes God has other plans.

I walked out of there with a ton of money. Not that I wasn't happy, but ok, I will not jump out for joy! I was determined to lose a sum in here when I was still at home waiting for Marinell. Marinell... I almost forgot about her.

Elva came back from the place the strange guy ordered her and approached the croupier.

I was almost at the door of "private" when she shouted to me.

"Congratulations. Here are your chips. You can cash them out whenever you want or try your luck again," she told me smiling, almost like she wants to convince me to play again.

I'm not stupid, I pondered in silence. Luck doesn't smile at someone for no reason.

"Here's your card," she continued hesitantly as if she wanted to tell me more.

"Thank you," I said, and I got out of the private. I had $ 375.000,00 worth of chips in my hand. After all, my Zero turned out to be good.

Holding the chips, I move quickly to the casino cashier. I give them along with my card to pass the winning amount. My heart's beating a little fast, I mean, it's a lot of money.

My work in court gives me a good salary, but I didn't have that unexpectedly large sum. The court, I think again and my eyes are wide open. If they found out that a court clerk blew the roulette in a "private" casino room, what would they think of me?

As much as freedom has progressed, certain stereotypes seem to never change. I mean, they would judge me in court for gambling.

If I remember correctly, I came here with a friend, right?

I walk away from the counter with the air of a tycoon and enter the casino room again, looking for Marinell. I don't have my nose up with the money, but now it's happening on its own.

No matter how humble someone can be; if one gains financial comfort, he also gains the corresponding feelings that express this comfort. It's something that happens on its own, let's not hide it. The character does not change completely, but some movements and habits definitely change.

So with the winner's air, I approached the casino bar and got a drink, scanning the space to track down Marinell. I looked towards the exit of the casino and saw her come to me with a smile of contentment on her face.

She raised her hand and squeezed a piece of paper she was holding. I understood what happened, and I thought silently.

"Which of the two did you screen? Or both of them?" I ask her sure of her answer.

"What do you think I am? A rookie? Both of them," she goggles her eyes stating the obvious.

"Can I ask what happened with Alfred or I'll spoil my saliva?"

Before she could answer me, Ridge and Stephan approach us coming from the "private". As I see them, I feel tighter in my stomach, I don't know why. Our eyes were locked, and it made my mood worse.

"What's up? Did you miss us?" Marinell asked gracefully.

Her question was reasonable because she had just cornered them both at the casino entrance and she recorded possibly even the perfume they were wearing.

"Mrs. Reva Lennox, please follow me," Stephan tells me awkwardly biting his lower lip.

"Where should I follow you?" I asked hesitantly.

Marinell next to me narrowed her eyes.

"Mr. Greene wants to see you."

"Who is Mr. Greene and what for?" I asked even more suspiciously, making use of the tone I have as usual in court.

"Mr. Dorian Greene is the owner of the casino," Ridge continued this time.

"Don't ask more questions, he'll talk to you for more details," Stephan popped up abruptly.

With several questions, I followed them all the way to the office down the long hall. Marinell stayed behind.

I give my name to two other men outside the door. I walk in and as they close the door, my figure disappears from the rest of the casino, waiting for what comes next.

In this dark room with hidden lighting around it, the huge black curtains that start from the ceiling and rest on the floor, what I see in front of me bothers me without knowing why.

Elva is sitting on Dorian with her legs around him, and her moans caused me discomfort that straight away appeared on my face. I got closer, pretending I don't care about the sight.
