Bloodscar's POV

I squirmed beneath the cat, trying to see my attacker but whoever it was had me tight in his or her grip. I went limp, using the oldest but most effective trick in the book and immediately, that cat's grip on me slackened. I twisted and flung my attacker off me. It was a dark gray, almost black she-cat, one of the deputies. I curled my lip and leaped at her, but the white tom I had nearly killed a heartbeat ago sprang at me, clawing at my chest. I dodged him and pushed him to the ground with my paws as he leaped past me. As the white tom stumbled, I leaped onto his back, prepared to sink my teeth into the back of his neck, but out of blue, the same black she-cat flew at me and knocked me out of the air. I landed on the ground, winded and she slashed at me, leaving a cut on my flank. I hissed and flipped onto my back but the white tom pinned me down. I just couldn't get free but Squirrel appeared, eyes gleaming with the flame of battle and leaped onto the white tom, freeing me.

I was back onto my paws in a heartbeat and grabbed the black she-cat's head between my forepaws. She screeched and lashed at me, trying to break free but I merely curled my lips. Using my hind paws, I swept her hind legs out from under her in a single movement and she rolled dangerously close to the edge of the rock. I went over and sank my claws into her pelt, feeling myself smirk as she yowled in pain and fear. I was going to push her over the edge of the cliff after i tortured her. She didn't squirm beneath me and I knew why. One small movement and I could push her over. I had her at my mercy.

Still smirking, I raised a paw, preparing to bring it down on her, but a tom leaped onto me. The two of us wrestled, my teeth locked in his fur and his claws sinked into my shoulder. I growled. It was the same white tom! He must have gotten away from Squirrel. Hissing, I reared up. Suddenly, Squirrel appeared. His fur, I noticed, was matted with scarlet blood and he was panting but still, his eyes gleamed with bloodlust and he lunged for the white tom. The white tom dodged him and rolled away, narrowly missing my weight. The white tom smashed into Squirrel and I could only watch in horror as Squirrel was pushed over the edge.

"No!!" I screeched in rage and threw myself at the white tom, who leaped away, a look of shock on his face. I crouched at the edge and saw Squirrel's broken body lying at the bottom of the rock, behind a pair of fighting cats. I whispered to myself, "I promise I'll avenge your death, just like I'll  avenge my mom's death." At this familiar memory, Bloodscar jerked, trying to push the memories away, but they kept coming, one after another, like the tidal waves..

Back to the memories..

I turned around. I wasn't going to just stand there and watch my family die. Rage overwhelmed me and i charged. There was no time to grieve. The white tom's eyes were blank with shock as I flung myself at him. "Im sorry! I didn't mean it! It was an accident!" he cried as I slashed at his eye, but missed, instead causing blood to well from a cut beneath his eye. I heard nothing that he said. All I heard was the agonized cries of Squirrel and Sandy as they died under the paws of those terrible Clan cats who were nothing but murderers. All I saw was the bodies of my family. I felt like I could kill all the cats in the world. For the first time, I felt like a murderer. I didn't care. Revenge. That was the only thing I could think of.

And then, all of a sudden, the battle was over. "Scourge is dead!" I heard a cat yowl and immediately, every cat froze. I halted, the words imprinted in my mind. What? My father, the most bloodthirsty cat in the forest, the best fighter, was dead?! I couldn't believe it. This had to be a trick. But then, I saw the body of my father and my brother, lying side by side, on the ground. All four leaders stood over them, eyes cold...

Bloodscar

Bloodscar was finally pulled out of his nightmare when Flowertear appeared and nudged him. "Hey," she mewed, dropping a mouse in front of him,"Are you alright?" "I'm fine," Bloodscar growled. "Don't worry. I'll avenge your deaths, I promise. My family." he vowed silently as he followed Flowertear to collect his mouse. Flowertear laid her tail on Bloodscar's pelt and Bloodscar, though he flinched, did not move away. He was too absorbed in his thoughts and besides, it was nice knowing that he had someone who comforted him. Bloodscar never had loved a she-cat beside his mother and he didn't plan to but he could have a friend...

Hi there. I have no school from today until Thursday so I'll try to write more and finish another chapter by Fri. Also, this is the longest chapter I've written so far(almost a thousand words). Anyway, I hoped that you enjoyed this chapter and do vote on it or comment. By the way, just curious, who senses the beginning of a ship for Bloodscar and Flowertear?
