Reader's pov:

It's taking all my will to not cry right now as the man I love is getting married. Iris is sure lucky!

The three of us have been friends since childhood.

I've tried confessing many times but we were always interrupted.

I never got to tell him he's a father. I absentmindedly stroke my bump. It was a mistake and it happened before they both got together. Which was two months ago.

Feeling suffocated I run off while everyone was distracted.

As much as I love this city, I need to get away. With a heavy heart and a false smile I bid goodbye to everyone. I wished both iris and Barry a good marriage.

Years later I'm back in town with my son. I didn't really want to bother anyone, since they were always busy. So due to a bunch of puppy eye blinks and begging I gave in and took Ares to one of the cafes.

I was smiling as I wiped his face full of ice cream.

I froze when I heard a familiar voice.

"Y/n is that you?!"

I turn and smile at him. "Yeah Barry" "It's been a while"

"Yeah it has!" Barry said smiling as he hugged me. It was then I noticed something odd. "Where's iris?"

Barry tenses and laughs awkwardly, his smile disappearing. "Yeah" "um we divorced"

My eyes widened and I placed my hands on his to be consoling.

"I-Im so sorry"

"No don't  be!" "I should've known is all"

I make a move to leave, but Barry stops me. "Wait y/n!" "The teams going to gather, don't you want to stay?"
