Two Years Later

"Calm down, bro," Namjoon hissed at me as I fidgeted.

I pulled on my coat sleeves. "I-I can't. What if she's changed her mind?" Somewhere in the back of my mind, I still feared something could go wrong. Maybe I didn't deserve her. Maybe something would still keep us apart.

"Of course she hasn't. Just take a deep breath. We're about to start." Namjoon smiled encouragingly.

I breathed in and out several times and gave a startled jump as the music started. Pachelbel's Canon in D. I was too nervous to turn around. Namjoon glanced behind me.

"Okay. Here comes Cindy." He began narrating. "She's getting closer. She just smiled at Tae, who's sitting next to Hoseok and Yoongi. Jungkook's right behind them. So's Jimin."

Cindy reached us. "Breathe, SJ. Here she comes," she whispered.

I finally got the courage to turn around. Bella had started her slow walk down the aisle toward me. Both her parents were escorting her, but my eyes were trained only on her. Every step she took toward me made my heart beat faster.

Finally, they reached the front. Mr. Domani pulled her veil back, and I felt breathless at the sight of her—her beauty, her poise, her warmth.

I believe that when people are truly in love, their loved one is the absolute, most beautiful sight in their eyes. That person becomes the standard against which everything else in their lives is measured. The person one loves is unparalleled in every aspect. That is what I believe because Isabella Domani is my perfection--not because she's beautiful, but because she is the part of me that was missing, the last part I needed to be complete.

Mrs. Domani kissed her on the cheek, but Bella's eyes were looking at me. She seemed as nervous as I was. Her father placed her hand in mine, and everything seemed to fade into the background.

I felt her hand tremble and squeezed it tighter to reassure her. "Forever," I mouthed silently.

"Forever," she mouthed back. Then she smiled.

We both faced forward, ready to join our lives. We were the picture of happiness. Just as it was meant to be.
