I woke to a loud knock Saturday morning at my front door, so loud I could hear it from my bedroom. I groaned as I sat up, rubbing my eyes roughly in an attempt to fully wake myself up. I had wanted to sleep in, knowing I had to meet Jane and Gemma later that day. But was awoken from whomever was at the door.

"Hi Mrs. De Angelis." The sound of Dakota's voice travelled to my bedroom perfectly for me to hear. I let out yawn before scratching my head and throwing the covers off my body.

"Dakota." I could tell by the sound her voice, that she was surprised to see him.

"I wanted to apologize for the wine bottle. I'm sorry for the way I acted that night." I listened intently from from behind my bedroom door before opening it and peaking outside. Dakota looked like a child as he apologized to my mom, staring up at her like a lost puppy.

"I'm so sorry Mrs.De Angelis."

It was quiet for a moment as the two of them stared at each other in silence, exchanging glances that I couldn't read.

"Would you like to come in? I'm sure Luka is awake by now." My mom said with the smallest hint of a smile on her face. Dakota's face lit up in an instant, making it hard for me not to crack a smile.

"Thank you Mrs.De Angelis."

I slammed my bedroom door shut in a panic before Dakota could notice I was eavesdropping. He wouldn't let that one go if he knew. I ran to my bed and jumped into, throwing the covers back on. I closed my eyes, panting from adrenaline as I tried to catch my breath.

"Luka? Are you up?" Dakota said as he sat on the end of my bed.

"Mm." I groaned, lowering my voice and hoping it was convincing enough for him to think I had just woken up.

"I did it. I apologized and I think... I think it's going to be okay." He said with a bright wide smile.

"That's great."

A moment of silence fell between us before I spoke.

"I guess this means I get to see you more often." I said, inching my way towards him before sneaking my arms around his waist, embracing him tightly as I rested my chin on his shoulder.

"You still haven't bought that lock." He said with a devilish smirk as he glanced at me from the corner of his eye. I cupped the side of his face with the palm of my hand, bringing him closer to me so that I could feel the warmth of his breath on my skin. I parted my lips, angst filled my body at the sight of his stained rosy lips before our mouths collided, every kiss full of yearn.

Dakota pulled away for a moment to turn around but it felt an eternity. I pulled on the hem of his shirt and pressed my lips against his once more. My body was on fire as his hand inched it's way up my shirt, roaming by body, trekking territory that was becoming familiar. The tender touch of his fingers ran over the soft pink skin of my nipple, sending a chill up my spine and a shock throughout me.

He kissed my jaw before moving to my neck, leaving a burning trail of kisses that left a mark on my skin. He paused to slide off my ivory silk pajama top and I didn't hesitate to help as I tossed it aside. He parted his lips before swirling his tongue over my nipple, making it hard for me to catch my breath with every flick of his rough tongue.

"Dakota, stop." I groaned through gritted teeth. He only growled in response, putting my nipple between his teeth and and I could feel myself getting hard with excitement, unable to contain it any longer. My breathing was ragged as I ran a hand through his hair, arching my back in pleasure. His hand traveled down my stomach and to my thigh rubbing it before going over my arousal and I instantly shuddered at his touch.

Before it could go any further, my phone vibrated on my nightstand, making me jump in fear that somehow my mom had caught us. I breathed a sigh of relief after realizing it was only my phone and grabbed it from the nightstand with a pounding heart.

"Hello?"

"We're five minutes away." I could hear Jane's voice on the other end.

"Got it." I said before hanging up.

"They have the worst timing." Dakota said with an exasperated sigh before resting his head on my bare stomach. I chuckled, ruffling his golden brown locks.

It wasn't long before Gemma and Jane arrived, knocking at the front door with a confident tap. I hurried to the front door in hopes of getting there before my mom but it was too late, she already had Gemma in a tight hug when I reached the foyer.

"Hey." I said, walking up to them with Dakota trailing behind me.

"Your mom was just telling us how excited she is that you're taking Gemma to prom." Jane said with a smirk. Gemma had a look of confusion on her face and I shook my head at her, hoping she was reading my eyes and what they were saying.

"I'm assuming you and Dakota are going together as well?"

"Yes, of course." Jane said biting her lip to stifle laughter.

"Well, you four have fun." She said with that signature gummy smile that I was becoming accustomed to.

"But-" Gemma said but before she could say anymore, I ushered her outside, mumbling a good-bye to my mom.

"Hi, kids." A slender pale man with dark hair and glasses, similar to Jane's appearance said as we entered the car. It was easy to see she'd got all of his looks.

"This is my dad, obviously." Jane said from the front seat, the rest of us crammed in the back.

"Hi, sir." Dakota and I said in unison. He glanced back at us through his rear view mirror with a fatherly smile.

"Great to see two young men so open with each other."

"T-thanks." I managed to spit out, taken back at hid words. How did he know?

Jane turned around with a smirk and it was as if I was seeing double. They're exactly the same.

"What was your mom going on about?" Gemma asked with an arched brow, confused as ever.

"Long story." I said with a sigh as I fastened my seat belt.

"Have fun." Jane's dad, also known as James, said as we exited the car.

"Thanks dad." Jane said as she shut the door.

Millions of dresses later, Jane and Gemma had chosen their dresses. The store's wide selection didn't make it any easier of course, and Dakota and I hadn't even chosen our suits.

"This is perfect." Gemma squealed in delight as she eyed her reflection with please. A long lavender dress that hugged every curve with a bateau neckline, dazzled with jewels along the waistline and I couldn't help the wandering of my curious eyes as they lingered on her. Dakota nudged my arm, warning me to let them linger too long as he ruffled my hair.

Jane stood beside her, staring at herself in the mirror as well. A black dress that draped down to the floor paired with long sleeves and a sweetheart neckline trimmed with lace.

After what I thought was a done deal, Gemma was second guessing her pick.

"What do you think?" She asked as she turned to us.

"You look great." I said with a smile.
"Okay, but you've said that about the last five dresses."

"You look amazing, trust me." Dakota said grabbing her hands and bringing them together. "Now can we please go."

"Fine." She said curtly before returning back to the change rooms. Jane and Gemma paid for their dresses, swinging the large bags over their shoulders as we crossed the mall to the tailor shop. The owner, a man in his mid forties with peppered colored hair and the bushy beard to match, was more than happy to help us. It almost took as long as picking out the dresses. I -a simple black suit and tie with a lavender handkerchief tucked neatly in the pocket, and Dakota -a black blazer with a white undershirt, no tie, no bow.

I chuckled, expecting him to choose such simple attire.

"Don't forget the corsage." Gemma grinned as we stood at the till waiting to pay, pointing at an encased purple and white corsage to match her dress. I nodded with a sorrowful sigh.

It pained me not being able to tell my mom that it was Dakota and I going to homecoming, not Gemma and I. Shopping only reminded me of what a horrible boyfriend I was.

"See ya, date." Gemma said with a wink as I stepped out the car. James waved from the front seat with a smile before speeding off and leaving Dakota and I in the dust in the front yard of my house.

"We should tell her." Dakota said after some time, breaking the silence.

"What if-"

"They're going to find out sooner or later. And I would rather it be from us than some kid from school." Dakota said, cutting me off. I bit the bottom of my lip, scared of the very thought of telling my mom as the memory of my dream flashed before me. I sighed before speaking.

"You're right."

A/N I'm not sure if anyone noticed, but if you go back to the earlier chapters I changed Jane's age. Jane is a year older than Gemma, Dakota and Luka, making her sixteen, just to clarify.
