I flicked out my wings again and flew over the trees. It was good to feel the wind in my face. That is, until I looked back and saw Fang and Max flying after me. I sighed as I dive bombed toward the thick patch of trees below me. I tucked my wings in hard and closed my eyes to keep tears from escaping. Suddenly, I was greeted with the familiar sound of twigs snapping and I was laying on the muddy floor. I barely had enough time to fly back into a thick bunch of leaves before Max and Fang landed.

"She couldn't have gone far. Look over that way and I'll go this way." Max told Fang. They went opposite ways and once they were out of sight, I carefully climbed out of the bush. I walked toward what looked like an easily climbable tree and then I heard a loud swoosh behind me.

"Miss me?" Max asked. I swung my wing at her, knocking her to he ground. She stood up and I tried to run but instead ran into Fang's arms. Within seconds, the rest of The Flock were there at my side.

*Calm down, Amy. We don't want to hurt you. We want to help.* Perfect timing.

"Shut up!! Of course you want to hurt me! You want to give me to the Erasers again!" I struggled against Fang's grasp, kicking him in his shins. He held me tighter, not flinching.

"LET ME GO!" Time froze in that second, literally, allowing me to move out of Fang's grasp. I had grown used to freezing time and had used it once to escape the School. I was caught, however, and decided not to try to escape again. They had also attached a large chain to my ankle and then to my cage, minimizing my chances of escape. I looked around at the different expressions on the Flock's face. Some of them were concerned but most were on guard. Angel, however, had her eyes closed and seemed to be focusing on something. *Lets scare them* I thought. I hid behind Max and time started again.

"Where'd she go? Fang?" Max asked. I watched Fang shrug.

"Oh, Hey, Max!" I waved as she turned around and jumped back.

"How did you-"

"You don't know everything I can do. And I hope you never will." I began to fly again.

"You can freeze time? OMG so cool!! I wish I could freeze time! How did you do it? What did we look like? I bet Gazzy's face looked funny! Can you show me how! That could come in handy! Like what if-" Max glanced at Nudge who immediately shut up.

"Listen, we're here to help." Max locked eyes with me. "Jeb told me that... uh... we might be related."
                          •••••
"What did you mean back there? About us being related?" We were back at Dr. Martinez's house, sipping hot cocoa and munching on some peeps. Total was resting on the couch with another dog I had been told was named Akila and she was licking Total's head. I guessed they were in love. Angel and Gazzy were asleep on one of the other couches and Nudge sat on the end of it, wrapped in a pink blanket. Max, Fang, and Iggy all sat on the couch facing the opposite direction of me. They had locked the doors of the house, allowing no escape. Unless...

A knock on the door interrupted my thoughts. Dr. Martinez stood up, walked over to the door, and opened it. A man stepped inside, a man I recognized all to well.

"Jeb?" I sat upright, fear and happiness rushing through my body. He pushed his glasses up and stepped inside, opening his arms to me. After I checked to see if it was him, I hugged him and he hugged me back.

"Oh Amy. Have you been hurt?" He stepped back, looking me up and down for any visible injuries. When he saw none, he smiled and took my hand, leading me back to the couch.

"How do you guys know each other?" Max stared at us, almost frightened. Jeb looked her in he eye.

"Didn't I tell you? My bad." He stood up. "Max, meet your sister, Amy. Amy, meet your sister, Max." Max and I's gazes transfixed on each other.

"Who's older?" I asked. Max rolled her eyes.

"Max is older. You, Amy are two years younger than her." I sighed, filled with relief. I always enjoyed pretending to be younger than my other friends. You're probably thinking, "What friends, Amy? Fang said you were shy and alone?" Hold on guys! Sometimes you ask too many questions!

"Wait a second. Jeb, you never told me we had two daughters!" Dr. Martinez's face became angry.

"Yes, and I regret not doing so. I just figured that you knew they cloned your egg so they cou-"

"So you were my dad and you didn't even tell me?!" I crossed my arms, turning away from Jeb. He placed a hand on my shoulder, which I shrugged away. Suddenly, an overwhelming rage filled my body and I turned and slapped him. Max smirked.

"You... you... you..." I was at a loss for words.

"Butthead?" Gazzy suggested.

"YOU BUTTHEAD!" I screamed. Jeb lightly touched the side of his face and looked at me.

Max stood up and walked to me, holding her hand out. "Nice slap. I've wanted to do that for a while." I took her hand weakly and shook it.

"Nice meeting you, sister." I stood up and began to walk toward the door.

"Where are you going? You can't just leave! You should stay with us! You're Max's younger sister, which makes you Ella's half sister, and your mom is Dr. Martinez- and she makes the best cookies- and maybe you could let me play with your pretty crimson hair and I could dress you up! Or maybe you're like Iggy and Gazzy and would rather blow stuff up! Or maybe your like Fang and you could be a ninja and give people heart attacks! Or you cou-" I glared at her. I undid the lock and walked outside, stretching my wings. It felt heavenly. I began to flap; up, down, up, down. The Flock, Ella, Dr. Martinez, and Jeb walked outside and watched me take off toward the mountains.
