Itsuki (POV)
It's been years since the one known as Itachi Uchiha; one of our own, slaughtered every last Uchiha in our part Konoha. I had to watch my brother sister and my parents get buried. I've been on my own ever since. I wasn't the only one that didn't go through this as Sasuke Uchiha, Itachi's younger brother was spared. That was when 7. I'm twelve now and I live in the apartment. It's not the nicest but it's home.

Right now my alarm goes off and I get up.
Itsuki- (Sigh) Another day. Alright then, let's get up.
I get out of bed and get ready for the day. I throw on my usual white shirt and black pants and black cloak. I leave my apartment and I make my way to the ninja Academy for class. On my way there, I spot the Hokage faces all messed up.

Itsuki *mind*- Geez, Naruto is at it again. I kinda sympathize with him because he's alone just like me. No parents.......nobody.
I get to class and sit in the furthest row back. Iruka comes into class carrying a tied up Naruto and plops him down in front of the class.
Iruka- (Sigh) I'm at the end of my rope Naruto. You failed the graduation test last time and the time before that. Tomorrow you got another chance and you're messing up again.
Naruto- Hmph!
Iruka- Fine. Because you missed it Naruto, everyone will review the transformation jutsu!
Everyone groans.
Itsuki- (mumbles) I'm cool with it.
We get up and go the front of the class.
Sakura and Sasuke went before me.
Iruka- Next, Itsuki Uchiha.
I stand in front of him and weave the correct hand signals and I transform. I transformed into the third hokage.
Iruka- Very nice. Didn't expect to see that. Well done.
I change back to normal and head back to my seat.
Naruto was next was and he did his sexy jutsu.
Itsuki- Really Naruto?
Naruto- Hehehe! Did you like it?!
Itsuki *mind*- I did. Very much so.
Iruka yelled at Naruto somemore and class resumed. I couldn't help but notice one particular girl turn into a big snake.
Itsuki *mind*- Hmmm
Timeskip to the next day
It was test day and I was in the testing room. The test was on clones.
Iruka- Alright you may begin.
Itsuki- Yes sensei. Shadow Clone Jutsu!
I get surrounded with chakra then poofs of white smoke appeared in the room. When it cleared, about a dozen of me stood.
Iruka- Well Itsuki, I would say that's more than enough to pass you. Congratulations son.
Itsuki- Yes!
He hands me a headband and I put it around my waist.

I exit the room and head outside with everyone else. I go and sit underneath a tree in the shade and watch as parents and grandparents swarm their kids and shower them in love pride.
Itsuki *mind*- Why are you doing this to yourself? This isn't healthy for you.
I could feel a tear escaping my right eye.
???- Why are you crying?
I quickly wipe my eyes and look up to see this boy

Itsuki- What?
Boy- I asked why were you crying? You should be glad that we're finally ninjas.
Itsuki- I'm glad about that but.....it's complicated.
Boy- Wait a minute. Aren't you one of the kids who survived the Uchiha massacre?
Itsuki- .......Yeah......
Boy- Oh I understand now. I'm sorry.
Itsuki- I'm sorry too but you don't have to be. I don't want anymore pity from anyone. It's been exhausting these past few years.
Boy- Well, do you have any friends?
Itsuki- Not particularly. I'm mostly just a background character.
Boy- Well, why don't you be my friend?
Itsuki- I already told you don't...
Boy- This isn't out of pity. I don't really have any friends either and I could use some and I thought, why not you? I can help you open up to people plus you're always alone so....
Itsuki-....I don't know man.
Boy- I'll treat you to some Hibachi chicken and fried rice.
Itsuki-.....Alright bet.
I grab his forearm and he grabs mine and he pulls me up.
Itsuki- So what's your name?
Boy- I'm Kaito Takahashi and I'm a pretty cool dude once you get to know me.
Itsuki- I'll be the judge of that (smiles).
And just like that, I made my first friend and this marked the day my loneliness ended.
