Timeskip a week ahead
We just finished another mission involving putting up flyers around the village and now we're almost to the Hokage's office to get our next assignment.
Akari- I wish we could do something more challenging. I hate doing these little tasks.
Itsuki- I'm with you.
Kaito- Likewise.
Reo- Well you are still Genin after all so this sorta stuff is expected. We get to his office and walk in on team 7 specifically Naruto telling Lord third that he wants to go on a real mission and iruka is yelling at him back the importance of these stupid tasks.
Naruto- Babysitting is not a mission.
Itsuki- I'm with Naruto on this one.
Lord third and Iruka look at me and my squad.
Iruka- Team 11.....
Naruto- See! Even Itsuki is my side in this (gets hit to the floor by I'm assuming is his sensei)
This individual turns and looks at us.
Ninja dude- Looks like you got yourself an interesting squad Reo.
Reo- You could say that but they ain't no push overs either Kakashi.
Hokage- Team 7, Team 11. It would seem that you don't understand the tasks you have been given.
He explains how missions are ranked a b c d and how is Genin are given rank d missions because we are just starting out.
Akari- We're not some little weakling brats. If you want us to improve and prove ourselves then send on an actual mission Sarutobi!
Naruto- Yeah! Don't lecture us like we're your grandkids or something!
Reo/Kakashi- I am so gonna hear about this later.
Hokage- (chuckles) So you want to show me and the rest of the village what you're capable of is that it? So be it.
Itsuki- Huh?
Sasuke- What?
Kaito- Excuse me?
Akari- Say what now?
Hokage- Since you six are so determined, I'm gonna give you both a c rank mission. It's the same mission so will go together. You all will be bodyguards on a journey.
Naruto- Really? Yes! Who?! Tell me who?! Are we guarding a princess or an important counselor?
Hokage- Don't be so impatient. I'm bringing him in now. Send in our visitor.
We looked towards the door and see some drunk old man.
Old man- What the? A bunch of snot nosed kids. And you really expect me to believe that the emo looking kid with the cloak is a ninja?
Itsuki/Akari- Why you!!
I try to rush him but Kakashi and Reo hold me back along with Akari.
Reo- No no no. You can't destroy the client.
Kakashi- Just calm down.
Old man- I'm Tazuna, a master bridge builder and I must return to my country. I'm building a bridge there that will change our world, and I expect you to get me there safely, even if it means giving up your life.
Timeskip to later that day
We were outside the village gates.
Naruto- Yeah! All right!
Itsuki- Someone's energetic.
Naruto- Yeah. I'm surprised you aren't.
Itsuki- I would be if we didn't have to babysit drunk Santa Claus.
Zack/Sora/Seth/Hiro- Ooooooooooohhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!
Naruto- This is the first time I'm leaving the village. I'm a traveler now, believe it.
Tazuna- Am I supposed to entrust my life to this runt? He's a joke.
Kakashi- (chuckles) He's with me and I'm a Jonin. Same as my good friend of mine Reo. You don't need to worry.
We begin walking. We walk for a while in silence until I fall back to Akari.
Itsuki- So about earlier, why did you get mad when the old gezzer insulted me?
Akari- I mean, you're my teammate and I thought we were friends now.
Itsuki- You want to be my friend?
Akari- Yeah. You're were the first person you actually saw me for me. I wish everyone in the village was like you.
Itsuki- (blushes a little) Awh thanks.
Sakura asked a question to Kakashi and he went over the five Shinobi nations.
Kakashi- This is a C ranked mission so there's not gonna be any fighting.
Sakura- Yeah and we're not gonna run into any foreign ninja.
I hear something behind us and turn to look only to see nothing.
Itsuki *mind*- Hmmmm. I think we're being followed.
I see Sasuke picked it up as well and I nod to him to tell him that I heard it too.
We keep walking a little bit more until I hear the same noise and this time I see two mist ninja coming out of a puddle and they are connected by chain and one of them throws the other and they wrapped around Kakashi and Reo sensei.
RK- What?!
Both mist ninja yank and our masters are torn to shreds.
Sakura-Ahh!
Kaito- No way.
Itsuki- Grrr. Damn it.
Naruto- Kakashi sensei!
The two mist ninja appear behind Naruto.
Itsuki- Oh no you don't.
Sasuke and I leap into the air. He throws a shuriken while I throw a kunai knife. The the shuriken hits the chain against a tree and my kunai nails it against the tree.
Mist ninja 1- What?!..,
Mist ninja 2- I can't get loose.
Itsuki- Akari! Kaito!
Kaito- Akright!
He comes in and cuts the chain with his sword.
They both immediately dart to opposite ends of Sakura and Tazuna.
Sakura- (Pulls out kunai) Get behind me!
Itsuki- Crap!
Akari- Earth style: Earth Flow Spears!
Giant rock spears protrude in the direction of one of the ninja while I use my super ninja speed to go to the other side of Tazuna and brace for the impact of the other ninja. Suddenly, Reo sensei comes out of nowhere and clothesline's the actual shit out of the mist ninja in front of me and I'm assuming Kakashi did as well.
Reo- Hi.
Kaito *mind*- Show off.
Kakashi- You really distracted him with your spikes Akari. Thank you.
Naruto- Wha? But how?!
Itsuki- They used substitution jutsu. They're carcasses we're just logs. Pretty sneaky fellas.
Kakashi- Sorry I didn't come to help you sooner Naruto. I didn't think you'd freeze up like that. Good job Sasuke. Very smooth. You too Sakura.
Reo- Good job squad 11. You've held your own again. Excellent work. Oh and Mr Tazuna?
Tazuna- Yeah what?
Kakashi- We need to talk.
