Varsha.

Aditya is not even ready to take a look at me..

He was trying to wrap the bandage around his wrist with one hand and I pressed the button on my wheelchair and moved near him.

"Let me hel-"

"Don't bother" he moved away and started to walk back to where others were arranging the table.

"I am sorry" I shouted after him "I am sorry I messed up, I'm sorry, I got you and others in danger, I am sorry I-"

"Save it" he turned around "I don't want your apology" he said sternly "What I hate most in this world is taking your own life." He said "I don't trust people like that. If you cant value your life, There's nothing you will value" He said and turned back.

My eyes filled and started to flow down.

"I value everyone" I said "I..I was just blind with..hatred. I just wanted him dead-"

"You.dont.value. anyone" he said firmly "you just want to make them pay. you don't care-"

"Aditya" shahid walked to us "That's too harsh" he said.

"It's the truth" He told shahid "Everyone here respects and help each other, But she's different" He said "She's selfish and she doesn't care about anyone, I don't expect anything more from a person who tried to take her own life three times now"

"Aditya, Enough" Trisha said "She's been crying and praying for you to return ever since she woke up. She's-"

"She just wanted to lessen her guilt, She just wanted to relieve her conscious-"

"Stop it!" I shouted now "I am sincere and truthful to all of you. You are my only family! The feelings I have for you is genuine and-"

"I don't believe you, Varsha, Not anymore, Never again" He said and walked out of the door.

Arjun.

We were in the private conference room with shweta, Everyone including the police officers were there to take her statement against the gang who kidnapped her.

"I told you, I don't know" She said

"Okay" Thomas mathew was eager to have a complaint filed against them "Did they hurt you?"

"They didn't" shweta answered and silence filled the room.

"Just give us their names then, We will put them on wanted list and-"

"I don't know them. They never talked to me. I was taken from collage and they blindfolded me and drugged me" She said. "When I opened my eyes, I was already in an empty room. I was there until they took me back here today. They never revealed anything and I was too scared" she said slowly.

"The bastards!" Abiram gritted his teeth "They know how to do their work" he said.

Did he really believe her?

I looked at abiram.

I can sense something wrong with her statement.

"They didn't talk to you at all?" I asked her.

She looked up at me.

"They told me that my father is hunting them and they are doing it for self defence" she said and the officers were uncomfortable for a moment. "But of course, I don't believe it" shweta added quickly "Right, Father? why should you go after a bunch of youngsters? That doesn't make any sense!" she said.

"That's right" Thomas mathew said "They were just spewing nonsense" he said .

It was funny actually, Everyone in the room already know if it was nonsense or not.

"Okay, Forget everything" The officer said "We already have the list of people who kidnapped you, we just need your signature to-"

"I can't do that" she said sternly "I don't even know who kidnapped me, Besides, I don't want my reputation to be tainted" She added.

"But we are sure that they are the culprits behind your-"

"Father" shweta turned to father "I am coming back after a long time, Do you wish to interrogate me like this? Now that nothing has happened, I would like to forget about the whole incident. If news came out that I was kidnapped and kept for a week, What do you think will happen?"

"But nothing happened-" Thomas started and she looked up at him sharply.

"I won't sign"

"But shweta, We should catch them-"

"Do you want to catch them at the expense of  my reputation?" she asked him.

I looked at father and saw that he's thinking along the same line.

Well...this is interesting..

"Shweta is right" I spoke up "It's better if we don't drag her to our problems" I said and her eyes stopped on me.

Her sharp gaze penetrated me and I smiled back "Mother will be happy to welcome you back home" I said.

"I will leave then" she got up

"But father-"

"Let her leave Abiram" father said slowly "She's already been through a lot" he said.

"Let me escort you" I said and got up "I will tell karan to drop you" I said and we walked outside.

Shweta.

Arjun guided me outside and I looked at him sideways.

"I thought you never wanted to come back, What happened? Why did you quit your own law firm?" I asked him.

He gave me his charming smile.

"What about you, Shweta?" he asked me "For the last few years, you didn't even come home for vacation, mother had to visit you there, What happened now?" he asked back.

I sighed.

The only time we lived under the same roof was so many years ago, When father brought him home and he had no choice but stay there in the family house for the next two years.

Then he was sent to boarding school. He never returned after that till five years ago when he joined the surya law firm.

I had left home by that time, as soon as my secondary school was over.

So we are not close, We are two strangers bonded by the same family name.

"Mamma told me that you came back, She said you changed, But I didn't think you changed this much"

"So are you, Shweta" Arjun said "It would have been more worthwhile if father saw you as a potential heir, I personally think you are more eligible than Abiram or Mahesh"

"There is still you, Arjun" I said

"I have no interest in getting the company, Shweta, Even if you offered it to me on a silver platter, I won't take it" he said so confidently that I raised my eyebrows.

Then why did you come back? Are you only here to take your revenge?

"Why do I feel that you hate our company?" I stopped and turned to him.

"Don't you hate our company too?" he asked back.

Okay..he is one tough nut to crack, I can't get answers from him anyway, we are only going to play this senseless mind game.

"Karan is here, I will take my leave now" I said.

"it's still a pity, Shweta, That they didn't talk to you these four days, It would have been scary" he said.

"I don't wish to remember it" I said as he opened the door for me.

And it was not until I was going  back home that I realised what he had been telling me.

It was just his way of telling me that he doesn't believe a word I said at the conference room.

He has seen right through me.

Karthik.

Everyone except varsha was having dinner and I took  the chair opposite to Aditi.

She didn't mind me or looked up at me.

She's still angry at me for hugging her!?

I was already holding myself back, It was only a simple hug!

Ok..maybe not that simple, But I was still holding myself back!

There was still some darkness that hung over the table, I heard that Aditya and varsha quarrelled and they didn't make up yet.

"Aditya, I need your help" I said and he looked at me.

"What happened?" he asked me.

I touched my left shoulder were Aditi had bitten me in the morning.

"Something bit me" I said in a serious tone "I dunno if it's poisonous or not" I added.

Aditi looked up at me, Shocked and she choked on her food and started to cough.

Trisha moved the water glass to her and looked at me."what bit you?" she asked "This is an old house in the middle of the woods, Some of the bugs here are really poisonous" she said.

"I don't know" I said "But I have severe itching and burning now" I said, Trying to keep a straight face.

Aditi was trying to take deep breath while still glaring at me.

shahid looked between us doubtfully.

"Aditya, Better give him an injection" he said and I looked at him

"Um..that's not necessary, The pain is rather bittersweet" I said "I can bear with it"

"But what if it's really poisonous? Let's not take any risks, Aditya, what do you think?" Trisha turned to him.

"I will see if there's any antihistamines here"

"Shut up" Aditi spoke up at last "Don't you see that he's playing around?" She said.

"How do you know that?" Trisha asked her "he sounded so serious"

"Unless...the poisonous bug was actually yo-" Shahid started with a chuckle.

"Shut up okay!?" Aditi stressed this time and all of them started to laugh.

"I can't believe you are taking his side Aditya!" Aditi gave him an evil stare "you are so unfaithful, Not even taking care of your sister" she added.

"You never wanted me to help you with problems, Not that you wanted any help before as everyone was so afraid to offend you from school too, Why do you want me to take care of you all of a sudden?" he asked playfully.

"She's not confident about facing me" I said

"Forget it" she said atlast "it's my mistake I even brought it up" she turned back to her food.

"What about varsha?" I asked slowly "Is she still resting?"

"It's all because of my dear brother here" Aditi gave Aditya an evil glare "Why do you have to be so mean!?"

"I was being truthful" he shrugged.

"But you were too harsh, She's already stressed" Trisha said.

"Now that I think about it, Brother, you were never angry at anyone like this, this is the first time I am seeing you this furious and rude to someone" Aditi said.

"That's true" he said slowly "I don't know why I can't calm down" he said "when I realised that she disappeared with the gun, My heart nearly stopped, I thought I will never see her again"

"Whoa! Why does it sound like a confession to me?" I wagged my eyebrows.

"Right! It does sound like a confession" Trisha said.

"What..no..no way..I mean..." Aditya looked dumbfounded for a moment "I am her saviour, That's why..I was..being protective..." he dragged of, not sound too confident now, then he looked at us "you mean..I like her?" he asked and we laughed at his expression.

"Do you not like her?" shahid asked back.

"I do like her but...it's not in that sense, I mean-"

"No wonder you were behaving strange brother" Aditi teased him "I always thought you will be mature and realistic when you meet your true love, Who knew that you will turn childish and throw a tantrum!?" She said.

"Shut up" Aditya looked around "We will stop this discussion now"

"What about her food?"

"Someone bring it to her" he shrugged.

"She's refusing to eat" Shahid said and Aditya sighed.

"You all want me to give her food, I am not stupid"

"We need you two to patch up, You can't keep grudges" Trisha corrected me.

Varsha.

I heard someone coming to the room. I pulled the blanket over my head and closed my eyes.

"I know you are not sleeping" I heard Aditya's voice and opened my eyes.

Aditya is talking to me!?

I looked at him as he walked to my side.

"Get up, Everyone is waiting for you outside"

"I was sleeping-"

"You were not, you were avoiding me" he said and I gave him a look.

"Yes..I was, why are you here anyway? You hates me, right?" I asked him and he stared straight back.

"Do I?"

"Yes, And you said you will never ever forgive me"

"I said that?" he asked me again and I gave him another look.

"Look, I don't know what game you are playing now, but-"

"I finally realise it, They could be right after all" he said.

"You are not making any sense" I said "What are you talking about?"

"It makes sense" He said again, looking at me as though seeing me for the first time "let me help you" he started to help me get up.

"No, I am not coming there-"

"Now, you are being childish"

"Why are you here? I thought you hate me?"

"I don't hate you" he said "it's quite the opposite" he added.

I was taken aback now.

"What do you mean?"

"Others think that I like you" he said "And I think they are right" he said.

I gaped at him.

I am sure I just heard it wrong.

"Um..excuse me, But I think I just heard you wrong-"

"You heard right, varsha, I think I like you, A little more than the friends zone"

I moved back slightly.

"You are crazy!" I stated and he chuckled.

"Right?" he smiled "I was surprised that I didn't see that coming, That explains why I was so mad at you"

"You get mad at people you like?"

"Apparently I does" he nodded.

"Is it some kind of prank, Aditya?"

"Relax" he came forward and lifted me up from the bed.

"Hey-"

"We are planning our next step, everyone is waiting for you" he said as he placed me in the wheelchair and pushed it out of the door.

When we reached the main hall, they all were already in heated discussion.

"Even though shweta wanted to help us, She's been staying away from her family for a long time now" shahid "we can't fully depend on her informations"

"She helped us this time" Karthik said "Aditya, Aditi and I would've died if it was not for her" He said.

"That's not all, She even covered for us, If not, The police would already have filed a case against us" Trisha said.

"Look, if Arjun is indeed the person who's taking care of everything like shweta said, we need to take care of him first" karthik said thoughtfully.

"Then He could be really dangerous" Aditya said as he sat down in the chair next to me "And it will be very difficult to even go near him"

"Shweta already gave us informations on him" Trisha said "Every weekend he goes to a club house"

"Going after him is a bad idea, I still don't agree with it" shahid said "he's from surya group and I don't expect anything good from him"

"What are we going to do about Arjun surya narayan?" I asked them, not understanding a thing "why do we want to go to the nightclub?"

"Shweta said Arjun has a grudge against his own family" Karthik explained "She thinks Arjun might have all the details on Abiram, Mahesh and narayan too, So if we were to get our hands on it, We don't have to endanger our life like before"

"And how do you suppose we get our hands on it?"

"Seduce him, Of course" Trisha shrugged "Look, He's young and still angry at narayan for abandoning his mom, I think we need to give him an ideal partner to support him and stand by him"

"I am not very sure of this, But we don't have any other way now" Aditya said "But we can't risk and include other people in our gang to seduce him"

Trisha.

I sighed.

"We don't want other people" I said slowly "I volunteer for the job" I said and the others looked at me like I have grown another head.

"No!" shahid said instantly "You want to do such a dangerous thing?, No way!"

"Arjun might already know you, trisha" Aditi said "he will be already aware of our existence" She said.

"You want to do something stupid like varsha?" Aditya looked angry "and I thought you were the brightest one" he said

"They are ruthless, trisha, We will find another way to get back at them" varsha said.

"But-" I started.

"Trisha" Aditi said "I can imagine what your plan is, But it still is dangerous" She said "Besides, we don't even know if it's going to be useful or not" she said.

"She will get exposed!" karthik told others, then turned to me "You are a reporter trishana, A public figure, people knows you"

"Guys!" I got up "Give me 10 minutes" I said and walked to varsha "I need your help" I told her and pushed her wheelchair back to the room"

Aditi.

The guys were still discussing about what to do next when I  heard the door opening.

Everyone turned to see her as trisha came out, followed by varsha.

All of us were frozen in our places as we stared at her new form.

"So, how's it?" trisha smiled and Everyone was still gaping at her.

She had completely changed to a different person, Her glasses was gone and her hairstyle was changed.

Trisha had her sleek silky hair down, She was wearing a dress that came to her knees, Light make up with pink lipstick; All of  which made a big difference on her.

She looked like a sophisticated and delicate young girl, not the cold, Stubborn reporter.

I smiled at her transformation.

"Trisha..you..it's really you?" shahid asked her.

"What the hell happened to you!?" Aditya asked.

"You were hiding all these time?" karthik said "why?"

"I feel more comfortable in the other dress as a reporter" she shrugged.

"But this is...you are completely a different person! I almost didn't recognise you" shahid said and everyone nodded.

"I started it as a shield, But it was easier and comfortable to be a reporter in the other style, it soon became a habit" she said "You see, people always compared me to my dad and I was so nervous while doing my job, So I started this as a disguise" She smiled.

She turned to us and  rotated in front of us, Holding the skirt of her dress.

"What do you think? Can I seduce Arjun narayan now? Do you think he will recognise me?" she asked.

"He won't" Aditya said "But you will get into trouble" he said "I don't agree with this plan"

"Yea, This is too dangerous" karthik said "you looked tougher in the other style, Now it just makes you more...delicate"

"That's right!" she exclaimed happily "that's what we need, He will never expect anything bad from me, I look delicate and innocent" she said

"Trisha" shahid started "I don't think-"

He was cut off when trisha's phone started to ring.

Everyone stilled, It's rare for us to use mobile phone here since we don't want anyone to trace us.

"Don't worry, it's the spare one" she took out the secondary phone "it's nitin, I told him to call me only if it's absolutely necessary!" she frowned and she attended the call.

"What!? Are you sure? I will be there, prepare everything!" her tone changed and her eyes turned dangerous.

She disconnected and turned around.

"Surya group has arranged a press conference regarding mahesh's arrest" I said "only a few media people are invited, I have to go now"

"What are you going to do without an invitation?"

"I will somehow find a way" She ran inside the room "let me change"

Arjun.

Lawyer varun went through the paper I handed him.

"Stick to these, Don't say anything more, Whatever you say, It will cause problem" I said and he nodded.

"I understand sir" he nodded "I am a bit nervous about this, I represented him during maya case too" he said "now if we suddenly cut him off, What will the public think?"

"Everything else is secondary, We have high pressure from the shareholders now and we need to do this or things will get real complicated" I said.

"Arjun" father came to my cabin and I got up, It's so unlike him to come personally.

"You are dismissed" I nodded to varun who nodded and walked out.

"I just sent you the content you need to speak today at the press conference" I told him.

He nodded and took the opposite seat and I took my seat.

"Is anything wrong?" I asked.

"I know that we need to cut mahesh off to make the shareholders and public less angry" he sighed "But I am still worried about mahesh, If I do this, I don't think he could get bailed out anytime soon"

"I have thought about it, once the public attention moved from him, Let's bail him out" I said "Until then we have no choice but make it seem that mahesh was acting on his own" I said

"Okay, Palace group is also very aggravated because we accused them of killing Abraham first"

"I told you before that it was a very dangerous thing to do, Many things could have been gone wrong" I said slowly "But I didn't know about the plan until you proceeded with it"

"I don't know what I was thinking!" father said "At that time, it really looked like a good plan and mahesh had me convinced"

"I know. The more we support mahesh now, the more he will get into trouble, let's proceed according to the plan" I said "I have already handed the matters to varun, this is the least damaging thing we could do now" I said and father nodded.

I turned back to my work as he walked out of the room.

"Sir" karan stopped in front of me "I think trishana already heard about the news, look" he turned around his mobile where the red dot was obviously moving towards the city hall, where the press conference is scheduled.

"How is it possible, we only invited our most trusted media people" I said

"It's not a good sign, whenever she turns up, Everything gets worse and out of hand" karan said "If she mess up the press conference, your father is going to kill her for sure" he said.

I am really tempted to go now, But I know that I need to stop this obsession of mine.

So I decided to stay back this time.

Yes, I will not get involved again...I have tried to block her a lot of time, But if she insists on getting in trouble, I can't do that..

"Inform all of our men at the site that Only the invited people are to be allowed inside, Make the security check tighter" I ordered and karan looked at me for a moment.

"Karan, this is all we can do, Rest we will leave to fate" I said.

"I understand" he nodded.
