Scratch is asleep in his little house. "Aww, he's so cute when he's sleeping." Molly said, and (Y/n) smirks. "WAKE UP, SCRATCH!" She shouted. Scratch wakes up, alarmed. "What's going on?!" He asked. "It is Saturday! And not just any Saturday. I have no plans! No chores, no homework, no responsibilities! And you know what that means..." Molly said. "Don't care." Scratch said. "No. To all of that." Scratch said. ""No"? You can't say "No" to everything!" Molly said. "I absolutely can. Just did." Scratch said. "That's a terrible way to go through life! Or death!" (Y/n) said. "We can't all be positive, constantly say "Yes" like you all the time." Scratch said. "Well, that's different, okay? Because yes is good!" Molly said. "Oh, is it? It's good?" Scratch asked. "Yeah!" Molly said. "Well, I guess you'd like it then if your could only say yes?" Scratch asked. "Yes! She would love it! Would you hate it if you could only say no?" (Y/n) asked. "No, I would not." Scratch said. "I bet you would, too." Molly said. "All right, wanna put your money where your mouth is?" Scratch challenged. "Uh-huh." Molly said. "Oh boy." (Y/n) said. "Great, then I am going to set a curse on us, Molly and (Y/n) McGee!" Scratch said. Scratch enters no-nonsense mode. "RAHH! Until midnight, one of us can only say no," Scratch said, pointing to himself. "And the other," he points to Molly and (Y/n). "Can only say yes!" He said. "Okay, okay, let's test this out! Scratch, do you want to...do nothing today?" (Y/n) asked. "Y—" his mouth zips shut. "I see what you did there. Okay, so I guess my answer is

"No". He said. Molly laughs. "Yes!" She said. (Y/n), Molly and Scratch find Pete fighting off a bee away with a broom. "Molly! (Y/n)! Get back! It's not safe. We got a bee in our home!" He shouted. "Uh, so you're antagonizing it with a broom?" Scratch asked. "You've got a better-- ? Wait—" The bee gets stuck in Scratch's nose. "Scratch! You caught the bee! Can you please...release him outside?" Pete asked. "Can I release the bee outside? Hmm...No!" He flicks the bee out of his nose. "So far, I'm loving this curse!" He said. "Ooh! Next we can go to the library, get some new books, enter a literary world of pure imagination." Molly said. Molly spots Irving the Illusionist and turns around. "Uh, hello, the library is that a-way." Scratch said. "Just uh taking the scenic route." Molly said. "Ugh, here we go again." (Y/n) said. "Scenic route"? Weird. Almost as if you HATE close-up magic or something. Which is absurd, because it is delightful." Scratch said. "Obviously, I love real magic. Wizards and unicorns and stuff. But magicians are just con artists who trick people! I don't like being bamboozled, Scratch! And I will not be hurt again!" Molly shouted. "Its not that big of a deal, Molly." (Y/n) said. "Yes it is!" She snapped. Scratch chuckles. "Oh, hey, Molly? Wanna go watch street magic?" He asked. "Pffft. That is a hard n..." she struggles to say 'no' "What was that?" Scratch asked. "Fine! Yes!" She groans. "I can't believe you used this curse against me." She said.

"Abracadabra!" Scratch said, and (Y/n) laughed. The trio approach Irving. "Hey there, passerby! Would you like to see some magic?" He asked. "Yes." Molly said. Ivring makes a coin appear from Molly's ear. "Presto! Are you impressed? Oh?" He laughs. "That didn't come from my ear. You were holding that coin in your hand the whole time." Molly grabs Ivring. "I know your game, presti-digi-faker." She said. Patty walks by. "Oh, Patty! Over here! Quick, before he asks me to pick a card!" Molly said. "Molly! (Y/n)! Perfect timing! I just finished whipping up some gumbo but my tastebuds don't work so well anymore. Will you be my taste-testers?" Patty asked. "Yes! We would be happy too!" (Y/n) said. Molly and (Y/n) are given a bowl of badly cooked gumbo. "Is this gumbo?" She asked. "Not bad for a beginner, huh?" Patty asked. "Well, come on, girls. Aren't you gonna eat it?" Scratch asked. (Y/n) gives him a death glare. "I hate you." She said. "Yes. We will... eat this. Now. Here I go..." Molly starts eating the gumbo with great difficulty and disgust, and so does (Y/n). "Make sure to eat it all, girls. Can you taste how the freezer burn mingles with the actual burn?" Scratch teased. "Yes." (Y/n) said in disgust.

Fifty miserable minutes later: Molly and (Y/n) finish the bowls of gumbo and feel sick. "Oh! Already finished? Do you want some more?" Patty asked. "What's your answer? She's asking if you want more." Scratch said. "Yes." Both say miserably. "The bee has summoned its swarm! Save yourselves!" Pete shouted. Sharon and Darryl are hiding. Grandma Nin rings. "Hello, my favorite grandson! What's going on?" Grandma Nin asked on the phone. "Nothin' much, Grandma Nin. Just hiding from a swarm of bees in the house." Darryl said. "Bees?" She asked. "Oh, don't worry! Dad 'Ii squash 'em or die trying!" Darryl said, and Nin shrieks. "Put your mother on! You cannot hurt bees! They are good luck!" She shouted. "But, Mom, they're attacking Pete!" Sharon said. "That is Peter's problem. No hurting bees!" Nin said, then ends the call. "Oh, they're everywhere! Ahh!" Pete shouted. "Help!" Larry shouted. "Oh! It's Weird Larry. Quick, cross the street." Molly said. "Are you avoiding people or something? How very un-Molly-Mcgee-ish of you." Scratch said. "Help! My baby Vera! She got out! She's black and white and got a cute little fluffy tail! And a powerful stench only a father could love." Larry shouted. "Oh, is Vera a skunk?" (Y/n) asked. "Can ya help me wrangle her?" Larry asked. Molly and (Y/n) both try to hold back. Scratch chuckles. "Oh, girls, you've been asked a question. You have to answer. Don't leave the guy hanging. I can see the word working its way up! Come on, you know you want to..." Scratch said.

"Yes!" Molly and (Y/n) shouted. The twins chase Larry's skunk. "And the McGee twins slip pass the wet cardboard boxes... Why are they wet? We won't ask! They're making progress on the far turn... Oh!" Scratch laughs. "Wow! When you are right, you're right, girls. You know, this is an awesome Best Friends' Day. I mean not for you, but for me-- Ahh!" He said. Scratch gets pulled into the ghost realm. "Okay, look, whatever I did wrong, I'm sorry and I won't do it again!" He shouted. The Ghost Council laughs. "Oh Scratch, you're not in trouble... for once." The green ghost said. "I'm not?" Scratch asked. "Quite the opposite. We are pleased with you." The gray ghost said. "Oh, misery levels have been on the rise in your town!" The purple ghost shows the meter, the pointer is on the red side. "Very impressive work. Which is why we'd like to invite you to join the Elite Ghost Society!" The blue ghost said. The Chairman thumbs up at Scratch. "Do you accept our invitation?" The purple ghost asked.

"I have been waiting for this moment my entire afterlife! You're asking me? Of course! What am I gonna say? I'm gonna say—" he struggles to say no. The Ghost Council are not impressed. After a few moments, he gives up and deflates. "No." He said. The Ghost Council gasp in shock. "Scratch, consider carefully because we will not ask you again, ever. For the rest of eternity. Will you join the Elite Ghost Society?" The green ghost asked. "No I will not." Scratch said in tears. The twins are still chasing a skunk. "Come on! Vera! Come back here, you little stinker." (Y/n) said. Scratch returns. "Well, my eternity is ruined. I'm really starting to regret this whole curse." He said. "Same. Sure would be nice to say... "the opposite if yes" right now." Molly said. "Same here!" (Y/n) said. "Oh, girls! Let's switch!" Scratch said. "You mean reverse the curse to the inverse?" Molly asked. "Do it. Do it do it do it do it do it do it do it!" (Y/n) shouted. Scratch enters no-nonsense mode. "I decree: you two are no, I am yes! Okay, real quick: Do you want a pet skunk?" Scratch asked. "No. Ha! It worked! Mr. Weird, or is it Larry? I don't know. But we did find your skunk!" Molly said. "That ain't Vera. Looks feral..." Larry said. The skunk hisses and runs off. "Well, we tried." (Y/n) said. "Wait! Aren't you gonna help me find my Vera?" Larry asked. "No!" Molly and (Y/n) said. "Ha! That feels good! What do you say? Should we go home? Hide until the curse wears off?" Molly asked.

"I'll give that a big yes!" Scratch said. "Ha, ha! I knew you did!" (Y/n) said. "Um, we all agree that pushing the bees out with air won't give us bad luck, right?" Darryl asked. "As long as you do not hurt them." Grandma Nin said. "Open the window!" Sharon said. Sharon uses a hairdryer on them and gasps. "It's working!" She said. The hairdryer stops. "Uh-oh." Darryl said. "Beenado!" Pete shouted. "Ahh!" The trio screamed. "Oh, wow. This really escalated while we were gone. Come on, we have to help!" Molly said. "Hey, Scratch? Buddy? Will you please eat all the bees?" (Y/n) asked. "Eat all the—"?" He sighs. "I guess I had this comin'. Okay. But if I'm suffering, so are you two-- Hey, Molly, (Y/n), can you not herd the bees together for me?" He asked. "A double negative huh? Then no!" (Y/n) said. "Perfect. Finally, we've figured out a good use for this curse! Not happy about eating bees, though." Scratch said.

"Do your worst, bees! You can't sting a gho-- Whoa! Ow ow ow ow! Ahh! Okay! My mistake, I gueth you can." Scratch said. Scratch goes out the chimney and removes the bees. "We did it, Scratch!" Molly and (Y/n) said. "You saved us! How could we ever repay you?" Pete asked. "Ow!" Scratch said. "Don't ask us any questions until tomorrow!" (Y/n) said. The three friends relax while looking at the clock. "Maybe saying "no" or... "the opposite of no" all the time is... uh... too extreme?" Molly asked. "Yes. I agree." Scratch said. "Me too." (Y/n) said. "Ooh! Here it comes!" Molly said. "Five! Four! Three!" The trio said. "WANNA FRENCH BRAID MY HAIR?!" (Y/n) asked. "Wha-?!" Scratch gives a reluctant sigh. "Yes." He said. (Y/n) laughs in triumph as she gives Scratch a scrunchy and a hairbrush and Molly bursts out laughing. Midnight struck, and the "Yes/No" curse was officially broken. Scratch smiles as he takes the hair-care items. "Dropping me at the last second, McGee? Dirty Move." He said. (Y/n) gives a wicked laugh as she turns around. "Yes it was." She said. Scratch starts working on (Y/n)'s hair. "Huh. There's a lot of bee wings in here." Scratch said. "Ooh! Kinda weave 'em in! They'll make me look cool!" (Y/n) said. "For that iridescent quality." Scratch said.
