"Welcome, my children. In this room, you shall explore the noble art of Divination. In this room, you shall discover if you possess the Sight." The Divination teacher said. She accidentally hits her leg against a stool. She stumbles a little, but quickly regains herself. "Hello. I am Professor Trelawney. Together we shall cast ourselves into the future." She said, as she looks around the room. (Y/N), Ron and Harry look at each other. "This term, we'll focus on Tasseomancy, the art of reading tea leaves. So please, take the cup of the person sitting opposite you." She licks her lips as everyone begins to trade their cups. (Y/N), Ron and Harry switch their cups and then (Y/N) and Harry switch. "What do you see? The truth lies buried like a sentence deep within a book, waiting to be read. But first, you must broaden your minds. First, you must look beyond." Trelawny said. "What a load of rubbish." Hermione said. (Y/N) and the boys look around and see Hermione sitting next to (Y/N). "When did you get here?" She asked. "Me? I've been here all this time." She said. "You, boy...Is your grandmother quite well?" Trelawney asks Neville. "I think so." Neville said. "I wouldn't be so sure of that. Give me the cup." Seamus gives the teacup to her. She looks in and frowns. "Oooh. Hmm, pity." She said and walks away as Neville grabs the cup and looks in.

Trelawney walks over and suddenly yells, causing (Y/N) and Ron to jump in surprise. "Your aura is pulsing, dear. Are you in the beyond? I think you are." She said and Ron nods nervously. "Sure." He said. "Look at the cup. Tell me what you see." She said. Ron flips through his book and looks down at Harry's cup and said. "Yeah. (Y/N)'s  got sort of a wonky cross. That's trials and suffering. And that there could be the sun and that's happiness. So... you're gonna suffer, but you're gonna be happy about it." Ron said to (Y/N), causing her to chuckle a little. "Give me the cup." Trelawney said as she reaches for it. Ron gives her the cup and she takes one look inside the cup and she slams the cup down and gave a small scream. (Y/N), Harry and Ron jump as she backs away and holds her hands to her chest. "Oh, my dear girl. My dear...you have the Grim." She said, softly. "The Grin? What's the Grin?" Seamus asked. "Not the Grin, you idiot. The Grim." Dean shouted as (Y/N) takes her cup and looks in to see that the leaves were in the form of a head of a dog. "Taking form of a giant spectral dog. It's among the darkest omens in our world. It's an omen...of death'." "You don't think that Grim thing's got anything to do with Sirius Black?" Ron asked with concern as (Y/N), him, Harry and Hermione are walking to your next class. "Oh, honestly, Ron. If you ask me, Divination's a woolly discipline. Now, Ancient Runes, that's a fascinating subject." Hermione said.  "Ancient Runes? Exactly how many classes are you taking?" Ron asked. "A fair few." Hermione answered. (Y/N) stops in her tracks as she comes to a realization.

"Wait a minute. That's not possible. Ancient Runes is in the same time as Divination. You have to be in two classes at once." She said. "Don't be silly. How could anyone be in two classes at once?" She smiles and mocks Trelawney. "Broaden your minds. Use your Inner Eye to see the future." "That's it. Come on, now. Come closer. Less talking, if you don't mind. I got a real treat for you today. A great lesson. So follow me." Hagrid said and he leads the class to the forest. "Right, you lot. Less chattering. Form a group over there. And open your books to page 49." He said. "Exactly how do we do that?" Draco asked. "Just stroke the spine, of course. Goodness me." Hagrid said as he continues to walk. (Y/N), Harry, Hermione and Ron walk up to an opening and set their books on a giant boulder. "I think they're funny." Hermione said. "Oh, yeah. Terribly funny. Witty." Draco said sarcastically, he then notices (Y/N). "Well hello again, (L/N). Still hanging around these mudbloods I see." Draco said. "Shut up, Malfoy!" Harry shouted. Ron and Hermione are glaring at him. "Why waste your time with these losers when you can be with real wizards?" Draco asked the girl. (Y/N) walks up to Draco threateningly.  "Don't insult my friends, Draco." She snapped. "Friends?" Draco asked in a mocking tone. "Yeah, what's wrong with that?" Ron asked angrily. Draco turns and glares at him. "I wasn't talking to you, Weasel." He snapped. Ron scowls at him. (Y/N) and her friends glare at him. "You pathetic excuse for a wizard."

(Y/N) angrily takes out her wand and points it at Draco. "Watch it." She warns. "(Y/N), stop. You'll get in trouble." Hermione warns. (Y/N) slowly puts her wand back causing the Slytherins to snicker. Draco then looks up in the sky with a frightened face and begins to point upwards. "Dementor! Dementor!" He shouted. (Y/N) quickly looks up but doesn't see anything. She then turns back to the Slytherins who laugh and mock them by making pretend spooky noises. Ron grabs (Y/N)'s shoulders and Hermione grabs Harry's and pulls him away from Draco. Hagrid clears his throat and gestures off to the side. (Y/N) saw a creature that looked like an eagle from the front but the back was the rear end of a horse. "Isn't he beautiful? Say hello to Buckbeak." Hagrid introduced. "Hagrid, exactly what is that?" Ron asked. "That, Ron, is a hippogriff. First thing you wanna know is they're very proud creatures. Very easily offended. You do not want to insult a hippogriff. It may be the last thing you ever do. Now, who'd like to come and say hello?" He said as he turns his back on the class. Everyone backs away which leaves (Y/N) by herself, making it look like she volunteered. Hagrid sees this. "Well done, (Y/N). Well done." He said proudly. (Y/N) looks behind her to see everyone including her three friends had backed away.

"Come on now (Y/N)." Hagrid said. Harry lightly pushes (Y/N) forward. She looks at him for a moment before she cautiously walk towards Buckbeak. "Now... you have to let him make the first move. It's only polite. So... step up. Give him a nice bow. Then you wait and see if he bows back. If he does, you can go and touch him. If not...Well, we'll get to that later." Hagrid said quickly. "Just make your bow. Nice and low." He instructed. (Y/N) starts to bow. Buckbeak looks at her then starts to screech and flap his wings. "Back off (Y/N)! Back off!" Hagrid warned and she walks back and steps on a branch. "Keep still. Keep still." Hagrid said.  "Well done (Y/N). Well done." Hagrid said again as Buckbeak straightens up. Hagrid grabs one of the dead ferrets and throws one. "Here, you big brute, you." Hagrid said and Buckbeak catches the dead ferrets and eats it. "Right. I think you can go and pat him now." Hagrid said. "Go on. Don't be shy." Hagrid said. (Y/N) slowly walks over to Buckbeak. She slowly raises her right hand. "Nice and slow, now. Nice and slow. Slow. Not so fast, (Y/N). Slow down. That's it... Nice and slow." Hagrid said softly,  as she walks slowly towards Buckbeak. "Slowly, now, slowly, slowly...That's it..." Hagrid whispered as Buckbeak got closer to her until finally he leans his head towards her hand and she starts to pet him. "Yes! Well done! Well done, (Y/N). Well done, (Y/N)!" Hagrid claps, as everyone else does. "I think he may let you ride him now." Hagrid said as he walks over to (Y/N). "What?!" The girl asked.

Hagrid walks over to her and picks her up. "Hey! Hey! Hey! Hey!" She said. "Hagrid! What are you...?!" She asked as he places her on. "Put you over here, just behind the wing joint. Don't pull out any of his feathers, because he won't thank you for that." Hagrid warned and he slaps Buckbeak on the back and Buckbeak rears up and starts to take off, causing the girl to scream and the other students to watch. Buckbeak flies over the Black Lake and skims his claws over the water. (Y/N) looks down at the water and soon spreads her arms out and lets out a cheerful scream.  Buckbeak eventually flies her back to Hagrid who helps her down. "How am I doing me first day?" He asked. "Brilliant, Professor." (Y/N) said. "You're not dangerous at all, are you, you great ugly brute!" Draco said as he walks over. "Malfoy, no!" Hagrid said just as Buckbeak screeches, stands up on his back legs and sliced his claws on Draco's arm. Draco falls and holds his arm as he cries in pain. Hagrid runs over to Buckbeak and stands between him and Draco. "Buckbeak!" Hagrid said, firmly, and he raises a dead ferrets and throws it off to the side for Buckbeak to chase. "Away, you silly creature." Hagrid said as he turns around to face Draco. "It's killed me! It's killed me!" He cries. "Calm down. It's just a scratch!" Hagrid said. "Hagrid! He has to be taken to the hospital." Hermione shouted. Hagrid nods. "I'm the teacher. I'll do it." And he picks up Draco and walks away. "You're gonna regret this." Draco said. "Class dismissed!" Hagrid shouted. "You and your bloody chicken!" Draco yelled. (Y/N) watches Hagrid carry Draco off until she feels something nudge her. She looks over and see Buckbeak nuzzling her. She smiles at him and pets his beak.

(Y/N) and Ron look over at the Slytherin table and see Draco going on about his broken arm. "Listen to the idiot. He's really laying it on thick, isn't he?" Ron asked. "At least Hagrid didn't get fired." (Y/N) said. "I hear Draco's father's furious. We haven't heard the end of this." Hermione said. "He's been sighted! He's been sighted!" Seamus shouted. "Who?" Ron asked. "Sirius Black!" Seamus replied as he put the copy of the Daily Prophet on the table as (Y/N), Harry, Ron and Hermione and other students come over to read it. "Dufftown? That's not far from here." Hermione said in slight panic. "You don't think he'd come to Hogwarts, do you?" Seamus asked with fear. "With dementors at every entrance?" Neville asked. "He slipped past them once. Who's to say he won't do it again?" (Y/N) asked nervously. Harry sensed her fear as he looks over at her. "That's right. Black could be anywhere. It's like trying to catch smoke. Like trying to catch smoke with your bare hands." One of the students informed.

(Y/N) and her friends were now in Defense Against the Dark Arts. They stood in front of a closet that shook every now and then. "Intriguing, isn't it? Would anyone like to venture a guess as to what is inside?" Lupin asked. "That's a boggart." (Y/N) said. "Very good, Ms. (L/N). Now, can anybody tell me what a boggart looks like?" Lupin asked. "No one knows." (Y/N) and Ron turn  to see Hermione. "When did she get here?" Ron asked. (Y/N) shrugs. "Boggarts are shape-shifters. They take the shape of whatever a person fears the most. That's what makes them so..." Lupin interrupts her. "So terrifying, yes, yes, yes..." Lupin said, nodding as he circles around the room. "Luckily, a very simple charm exists to repel a boggart. Let's practice it now. Without wands, please. After me. Riddikulus!" He said. "Riddikulus!" Everyone repeats. "Very good. A little louder and very clear. Listen: Riddikulus!" said Lupin. "Riddikulus!" Everyone said again. "This class is ridiculous." Draco said.  "Very good. So much for the easy part. You see, the incantation alone is not enough. What really finishes a boggart is laughter. You need to force it to assume a shape you find truly amusing." said Lupin as he looks around the class. "Let me explain. Neville, would you join me, please?" He asked. Neville slowly walks up to him. "Hello. Neville, what frightens you most of all?" He asked. Neville mumbles something but he doesn't hear it. "Sorry?" He asked.

"Professor Snape." Neville repeated. Everyone laughs including Lupin. "Professor Snape. Yes, he frightens all. I believe you live with your grandmother." "Yes, but I don't want it to turn into her, either." Neville said. "No... it won't. I want you to picture her clothes. Only her clothes, very clearly, in your mind." He instructed. "She carries a red handbag..." Neville begins but Lupin shakes his head. "As long as you see it, we'll see it. Now, when I open that wardrobe... here's what I want you to do." He said and he walks closer over to Neville and whispers something to him. "Can you do that? Yes." Lupin said and Neville nods. "Wand at the ready." Neville pulls out his wand. "One, two, three." He flicks his wand and the door to the wardrobe open and out comes Professor Snape. "Think, Neville. Think." Lupin whispers in Neville's ear. Neville stares at Snape in fear for a moment but He concentrates on his grandmother's clothes and said. "Riddikulus! Snape's normal black robes was replaced with a green skirt, a red handbag and on top of his head was a large hat with a stuffed bird perch on top of the hat. Everyone laughs at the sight and Neville smiles. "Wonderful, Neville, wonderful! Incredible! Okay...to the back, Neville. Everyone, form a line...Form a line!" Lupin ordered and everyone started to stand in line. "I want everyone to picture the thing they fear the very most....and turn it into something funny." Lupin said as he walks over to the gramaphone and turns it on to play music. "Next! Ron!" He shouts and Ron walks up to the boggart Snape. Snape looks at Ron, then transforms into a huge spider, causing Ron to panic. "Be brave! Wand at the ready, Ron." Lupin said and Ron pulls out his wand. "Riddikulus!" The spider starts to slip as his legs were replaced with roller skates.

Everyone laughs again and Lupin chuckles. "Yes! You see? Very good, very good! Marvelous! Absolutely, very, very enjoyable! Parvati! Next!" Ron walks away and (Y/N) high fives him. "Nice going, Ron!" She said. Parvati walks up to the slipping spider which turns into a huge snake. "Keep your nerve. Steady." Lupin instructed as Parvati concentrates. She raises her wand. "Riddikulus!" The snake turns into a clown jack in the box. Everyone laughs again. "And next! Step up, step up! Wonderful, wonderful!" Lupin exclaimed as Harry comes up next. Suddenly, the boggart turned into a Dementor. Lupin jumps in front of Harry. "Here!" The Dementor stops and turns into a large silver orb. "Riddikulus!" Lupin turns the orb into a balloon and it zips around then Lupin guides the creature back towards the wardrobe and shuts it. "Right. Sorry about that. That's enough for today. Collect your books from the back. That's the end of the lesson. Thank you! Sorry!" Lupin apologized to the students groan in disappointment as they walk away. "Remember, these visits to Hogsmeade village are a privilege. Should your behavior reflect poorly on the school...that privilege shall not be extended again." McGonagall said to the students. (Y/N), Ron and Hermione were standing next to each other, ready to leave as Harry tried to get McGonagall to sign his form.  "No permission form signed, no visiting the village. That's the rule, Potter." And both her and Filch, who was collecting the slips, came out. "Those with permission, follow me. Those without, stay put." Filch shouted. Harry runs in front of McGonagall. "I thought if you signed it, then I could..." "I can't. Only a parent or a guardian can sign. Since I am neither, it would be inappropriate." She said and she starts to walk away. She turns back to him for a moment. "I'm sorry, Potter. That's my final word." She pats his shoulder and walks away. (Y/N), Ron and Hermione stand and watch. He shakes his head. "Forget about it, guys. See you later." He then starts to walk back towards the castle as (Y/N), Ron and Hermione leave.

Time Skip

"Honeyduke's Sweetshop is brilliant, but nothing beats Zonko's Joke Shop. We never got to go to the Shrieking Shack. You heard it's the most..." "Haunted building in Britain. I know." Harry interrupts Ron. For some reason, there was a line of students waiting to go into their common room. "What's going on?" (Y/N) asked. "Probably Neville forgot the password again." Ron answered. "Hey!" Neville said.  "Oh, you're there." Ron said. "Let me through, please. Excuse me! I'm Head Boy! Get back, all of you. No one is to enter this dormitory until it's been searched." Percy Weasley shouted. (Y/N), Ron, Harry and Hermione look around at each other and Ginny suddenly runs over to them. "The Fat Lady! She's gone!" (Y/N) and the others gasp as some kids start moving forward. "Serves her right. She was a terrible singer." Ron said. "It's not funny, Ron." Hermione scolds. "Keep calm, everyone. Break into fours. Back to your common room. Be quiet." Percy said. "Make way." (Y/N) looks behind her and moves out of the way as Dumbledore and Filch run up. "The headmaster's here. Come on, move. You heard. Move!" Percy ordered and Dumbledore and Filch walk up to the painting. He looks at the painting and runs his hand over it. "Mr. Filch? Round up the ghosts. Tell them to search every painting in the castle to find the Fat Lady." Dumbledore said but Filch was looking up. "There's no need for ghosts, professor. The Fat Lady's there." Filch said as he points. Everyone runs to the next floor, and Dumbledore walks up to the painting. "Dear lady, who did this to you?" He asked. The Fat Lady whimpers as she appears. "Eyes like the devil, he's got, and a soul as dark as his name. It's him, headmaster. The one they all talk about. He's here, somewhere in the castle! Sirius Black!" She shouts.

"Secure the castle, Mr. Filch. The rest of you, to the Great Hall." Dumbledore orders. That night, they had the school on lockdown and sent all the students to the Great Hall, where they used sleeping bags. (Y/N), Harry, Ron and Hermione were sleeping next to each other as she heard the teachers coming in to report to Dumbledore. "I've done the dungeons. No sign of Black, nor anywhere else in the castle." Snape said. "I didn't really expect him to linger." Dumbledore said. "Remarkable feat, don't you think? To enter Hogwarts Castle on one's own...completely undetected?" Snape asked with a suspicious tone. "Quite remarkable, yes." Dumbledore said. "Any theories on how he managed it?" Snape asked. "Many. Each as unlikely as the next." Dumbledore replied. "You may recall... prior to the start of term I expressed concerns...about your appointment of Professor..." Snape began. "Not a single professor inside this castle would help Sirius Black enter it. I'm quite convinced the castle is safe...and I'm more than willing to send the students to their houses." Dumbledore said.  "What about Potter and (L/N)? Should they be warned?" Snape asked. "Perhaps. But for now, let them sleep. For in dreams, we enter a world that's entirely our own. Let them swim in the deepest ocean or glide over the highest cloud."
