It was a spring day in late April; the new school year had started a few weeks ago. The classroom full of kindergartens was silent as they looked at the new classmate who stood behind the teacher, nervous, at the front of the class.
The 5 year old girl had shoulder length hair as white and shimmery as snow, it was held back by an icy blue hair band. Her dress was a simple pastel yellow, she wore black dress shoes and white socks with blue-ish snowflakes on them. Over her dress was a small, white, torso length cardigan. The girl's eyes were a frosty grey.
"You can come on out and introduce yourself." The female teacher spoke softly and encouraging to the scared girl with white hair. The class full of small children had their mouths agape as they watched in awe.
The little girl stepped out and bowed, "M-my name is Himura Rei, i-its a pleasure too meet all of you."
A girl with explosive hair and a loud voice stood up with her hand raised and a wide open smile plastered to her face, "Rei! Come sit with us!"
The girl with shimmery white hair, named Rei, looked up at her chuckling teachers and they only nodded. Rei made her way to the back and saw an empty seat at the table.
Rei noticed that every table in the classroom was in the shape of triangles with each side containing one chair; the table she was invited to had two chairs already taken (one by the one who invited her and the other by a soft faced girl with forest green hair) and one chair empty. Rei sat in the empty chair. She noticed that she was sitting close to cubbies where black, red, and yellow backpacks were placed, each cubby had a sticker above it with a name.
" The names Mitsuki, her name is Inko." Rei looked over at the smiling girl, Mitsuki, and blinked a few times.
"Mi-mitsuki! Shouldn't you tell her our last names?!" The forest haired girl, Inko, seemed to be freaking out waving her hands about while stuttering.
"Who cares, you call me by my first name so she should call us by our first names." Mitsuki smirked in a friendly way. Inko stopped waving her hands about and looked down and played with her hands in her lap. "Besides I bet the three of us will be good friends."
Inko looked up smiling, "Yeah!" Mitsuki and Inko looked over at Rei who looked utterly confused.
The girl's sat in silence for a moment until Inko spoke up, "So Rei, what's your quirk?" There was a glint in Inko's eyes. Rei looked at Inko and then Mitsuki who immediately leaned in with interest.
"Well uh...", Rei twirled her thumbs and looked down at her hands, "...ice, I guess..."
"That's so cool!" Mitsuki and Inko said in unison. Rei snapped her head up and jumped a little. No one had ever called her semi-newly manifested quirk amazing.
"Th-thanks I guess... what's both your quirks?"
Inko and Mitsuki looked at each other and grinned.
Mitsuki pointed to herself with her thumb, "My mom says my quirk is moisturizer, it's not as cool as yours?"
Inko pointed to herself with her pointer finger, "I can bring objects towards me...I still don't quiet understand how it works but I'll learn."
Rei was amazed that Mitsuki and Inko we're still smiling even though they're quirks were... simple. She looked down at her hands and then back at the two girls in front of her and smiled at them.
"I hope the three of us can become the best of friends!"
Mitsuki and Inko's smiles widened and they threw their fists into the air in the chatter filled preschool classroom, "Yeah!"
