Third Person POV 

Y/N was standing in a room as he held his sword in hand before hearing a growl. The swordsman slowly turned his head to the side to see a grimm looking at him. 

Y/N: Hmm...
He hummed to himself as the grimm charged at him, revealing its rows of needle-like teeth. 

The grimm lunged at him as it opened its mouth widely. Y/N dodged to the side as the grimm skit across the ground, trying to get to the swordsman. 

Y/N: Pathetic. 
He said as the grimm growled before charging at him with its claws lunging at him. 

SLASH 

The grimm crashed into the ground as Y/N swung his sword to the side, cleaning his sword before putting it back into his sheath. 

???: W-W-W-Where am I? 
He heard a voice from across the room. 

Y/N turned around to see Ruby looking around, confused as her eyes landed on him. 

Ruby: W-W-Who are you? 
She asked in fear as he walked towards her. 

Y/N: Finally awake. Thought I might have to start killing more huntsmen just to pass the time. 
He said before sitting in front of the cell. 

Ruby: W-W-W-Why am I in here? 
She asked him. 

Y/N: Hmm... Come with me. 
He said before opening the cell door. 

Ruby: O-Okay. 
She said and slowly walked out of the cell. 

Y/N: Let's go. 
He ordered as he walked down a hall. 

Ruby slowly followed behind him as they walked down the hall, seeing a varying set of photos along the walls before setting her eyes on a photo of a family. A family of 6. 

Ruby: Who is that? 
She asked as Y/N continued to walk down the hall towards a large set of doors. 

Y/N: Come on. She's waiting. 
He said as Ruby ran towards him. 

Ruby: Who's waiting? 

Y/N: Salem. 
He said before opening the doors as Salem sat in her throne, looking at them as they walked into the room. 

Salem: Y/N. Good to see there has been some progress. 
She said as Ruby stood behind the swordsman in fear. 

Y/N: Yes. 
He said as Salem looked at Ruby. 

Salem: Ozpin's trump card. How shameful of him to toss away his best. 

Ruby: W-W-Who are you? 
She asked as Salem smirked. 

Salem: Did your headmaster Ozpin never speak of me? Or did he brainwash you into thinking that. 
She said as Ruby looked at her with confusion.

Salem: Y/N. Take her to gather her thoughts. During that, proceed with the other three. 
She orders as Y/N nods. 

Ruby: What other three? 
She asked as Salem snapped her fingers to form a mirror in front of Ruby. 

Ruby: AH! What happened to me! 
She screamed as she looked at herself in the mirror, seeing black veins and red eyes staring back at her. 

Salem: Saved you. 
She said as the mirror disintegrated. 

Ruby: So...am I a grimm?
She asked as she looked at her. 

Salem: No. Hazel, why don't you take Ruby here to Watts. 
She said as Hazel walked towards the two. 

Hazel: Come on. 
He said as Ruby looked at Y/N. 

Y/N: Go. 
He said as Ruby looked down before following Hazel, leaving the two in the room. 

Y/N: What now. 
He said as he looked at Salem. 

Salem: Now it is time to for the other three and their grimmification. Now go. 
She orders as Y/N nodded before walking out of the room. 

Salem: Years ago, you would have saved those that fought with you but now you would throw them away. I wonder what you're going to do Ozma. 

Somewhere Else 

 In a medical room, Jaune stood with Ozpin as he looked at his three teammates. 

Jaune: What are we going to do with them. 
He said as he looked at Ozpin. 

Ozpin: Don't worry about it, I'll let Ironwood and his soldiers deal with them. 

Jaune: How so headmaster. 

Ozpin: We'll brainwash them. Ms Nikos is still the best fighter, she'll be useful in the fight. Ren has a unique aura that masks him from the grimm. Nora can absorb a lot of damage so she'll be useful. 

Jaune: What about me? 

Ozpin: You'll still be leader. 
He said before reaching into his pocket. 

Ozpin: Here is a device that'll let you control them. 
He said as he held a device in his hand. 

Jaune: I see. 
He said before grabbing the device. 

Ozpin: You have great potential Mr Arc. 
He said as he looked at his teammates. 

Ozpin: Unlike Ms Rose and her mother. 
He said as Jaune looked at him. 

Jaune: Who was Ruby's mother? 
He asked him. 

Ozpin: Summer Rose. The only reason she died was to prevent Salem from entering this world. And she did her job like a good chess piece.
