I walked into Music with Mack behind me. Nogla was already waiting with his arm draped over the chair I usually sit in. I smiled as I made my way over. Mack came to my side and Nogla's smile faltered, his arm sliding off the chair.

"Hey kid, how's it feelin'?" He asked. I sat down in the chair as Mack sat to my left.

"It's a'ight now. Just the headache that's buggin' me," I answered. He nodded, and the teacher came in.

"Okay, it is to my understanding that we have another of the Irish to come in today. So, Mack, would you like to demonstrate anything?" He asked. Mack shrugged and found his way to a violin. He played beautifully, making the strings hum in cords that were heaven to anyone who could hear it. When he was done, Nogla and I were the first to clap. We seemed to knock everyone out of whatever trance they were in and they clapped as well. Mack sat back down in his seat.

"Did ye' like it?" He asked, facing me. I nodded enthusiastically.

"I loved it!"

After music, Mack followed me to Geometry. I sat down next to Mini happily. Mack sat behind me.

"Hey Shona! Hey Mack!" Mini greeted cheerfully.

"Hey Mini!"

"Hey Craig!"

"Hey Shona! Hey Mack! Hey Craig!" Joe called as they entered the room. He sat next to Mack, behind Mini. Ivan came in just after Joe, taking the seat behind him.

"Hey guys!" Mini and I looked at each other and we all busted out laughing at our simultaneous response. During our giggling spree, Dick and his friends came in.

"Hello chick," Dick cooed. I glared at him as he passed my desk.

"She's not just a chick, she's practically a princess ye' prick," Ivan argued. I facepalmed.

"Oh, I'm sorry. I thought you were the princess," Dick countered. Ivan stood up and we all jumped up to hold him back.

"Dick, get the fock out of 'ere," I told him. He laughed as he walked to his seat, his buddies close behind. Ivan shook us all off, plopping back down in his seat. He mumbled curse words under his breath as he glared at the desk he sat in. We all sat back down in our seats and paid attention to the teacher that walked in. Though, he just sat in his chair and slept. Mini and I started talking about video games and YouTube as the three behind us talked amongst themselves.

"Oh yoohoo!" Dick called from the back. His buddies laughed as Mini and I just rolled our eyes. "Yo princesses! Wanna come have some fun?" He continued. I looked behind me, only to make sure Joe, Ivan, and Mack were keeping at bay. They seemed to just ignore him. I smiled, proud of my friends and turned to Mini again.

"They sure have learned. Last year they got inta' loads of fights. Well, Ivan did, and Joe would break it up. Mack would sorta just shout at them ta' stop," I explained.

"Really? Now's the time they're changing to be passive aggressive? I'm pissed."

"Mini, don't do anythin'."

"I won't. I know you don't like the fighting."

"Thanks."

"Sure thing, Shona."

When the bell rang, Mini tugged my hand into the hallway. Someone's open hand came at my face, but I couldn't see who owned it. It hit my eye and I gripped it in pain. Mini looked over his shoulder and turned back before spinning around to face me.

"What the hell?! Are you alright?!" He shouted. I nodded, holding my eye.

"Can we just go?" I asked quietly. He nodded quickly and tugged me beside him out of the school. We stopped at the entrance to wait for the others to come out. Mini inspected my eye as we stood.

"I'm so sorry. I didn't mean to," he apologized. I shook my head.

"Don't be. Ye' didn't do anythin'. Someone else just slapped it in the hall," I assured him. His eyes filled with anger in a second.

"Who did it?" I shrugged.

"All I could see was their hand," I informed him.

"Shona? Mini? What's wrong?" Brian asked, leading Wildcat, Scotty, and Moo out the front entrance. Mini backed away as Brian inspected my eye again.

"Someone hit her again," Mini answered. Brian frowned, looking at my eye.

"I'm sorry Shona. I promised it wouldn't be like all the other years," he started breathing heavily as if he were ready to cry. Don't let him cry. I wrapped my arms around him, the side of my face finding his chest.

"Don't blame yerself... idiot," I chuckled out the last part. He laughed as well. I could hear his heart beat steadily beating away.

"Everything okay out here?" Marcel asked, coming towards us with Evan, Nogla, Delirious, Lui, and CartoonZ. We all nodded.

"Kid got hit again," Wildcat told him.

"Same eye?" Evan asked. Brian, Mini, and I nodded.

"You thinking what I'm thinking?" Delirious asked. Everyone but me nodded. I looked around confused.

"What?" I asked confusedly.

"Someone's targeting that eye. Everyone's targeting that eye," CartoonZ corrected himself. I furrowed my brows.

"But no one knew 'bout my eye... How do they know ta' target it? And why would they?" I asked. They shrugged.

"Someone's telling people all over," CartoonZ answered again. Nogla cracked his knuckles, glaring at the open air.

"We're not lettin' either of ye' out of our sight." Brian and I looked at each other. We were both a bit confused, but also a bit scared. If they knew stuff about me, they definitely know stuff about Brian. He's the open one and he's not even getting attacked. At least... not yet.
