History: Being raised in Southeastern Idaho (Idaho Falls, Rigby, and Menan) and on professional wrestling all his life. Daniel at an early age decided to be a pro wrestler. So his parents sent him to Calgary to study in the legendary Hart Dungeon. He learned at the feet of Stu Hart and Bret Hart. But sadly Stu died by the end of Daniel's second or third year of training in the Dungeon. But he trained even harder under Bret's tutelage. The one thing nobody saw coming was that Daniel would meet Natalya Neidhart. Bret's niece and also training to be a wrestler herself. Well, her and her cousin David Smith and a guy called Tyson Kidd.
Natty and Daniel became fast friends and they would take walks around the Hart compound. Eventually, they would start training together, even practicing the moves and holds. One night, he was invited to the Neidhart home for dinner. Nattie and Daniel couldn't keep their eyes off each other.
Jim 'The Anvil' Neidhart noticed and didn't mind the possibility of Daniel dating Nattie. In fact he encouraged it.

After dinner Dan and Nattie went for a walk around the Hart compound before he asked her to be his girlfriend. Nattie knew that he wasn't the type to give away his heart easily.
So from that night even after their graduation from the Dungeon. They remained together. But when Daniel signed with NJPW a year or two later after being on the independent circuit. Daniel came home to a rather disheartening scene. Nattie, who like Daniel, was working the independent circuits. Was kissing Tyson Kidd. Who was visiting Nattie to catch up on her life. The moment he saw that, he just went upstairs, packed a couple of bags, and left for Japan. Nattie tried to call, email, and text. But he ignored everything that had Nattie's name attached to it.

After New Japan, where Daniel received a nickname. 'The Hammer as homage to Jim 'The Anvil' Neidhart before joining Bullet Club. In mid-2011, his contract with NJPW expired and he signed with WWE. Later that year, Daniel made his debut on the October 18th edition of Raw.

Fast forward eight years, Natalya's and Tyson Kidd's relationship is in ruins. And she's been staying with her little sister now.  But on August 11, 2018. Daniel visited Jenni because they've talked backstage at Raw events, even ran into each other at the coffee shop on occasion, the last time they exchanged numbers. And he visited Jenni as he was in the neighborhood. That's where our story begins...
