Serena

I spring up from my spot in the sand and grab Trenton. I knew he would run the second Dawson said that. Kathryn sits down, her face as white as a ghost. I make Trenton sit too.

"Stay put," I command. "Nathaniel, Eric come with me."

"Can I come?" Dawson asks hopefully.

"No. Stay here with these two and make sure they don't go anywhere. I think we will need to have a little chat when we get back," I say and kneel in front of Trenton. "We will find her, alright? Stay here and listen to Dawson. I don't care that you're older. Just listen to us for right now." He nods, and I start down the beach and the boys follow. After about ten minutes of walking, we head into a forest.

"Stay together," I whisper as we walk into a think fog. I grab Nathaniel's hand in my left and Eric's in my right. We enter deeper into the fog and my hands feel lighter for some reason. I look down and see them in my pockets.

"What?!" I wonder aloud. I was just holding their hands a second ago! "ERIC, NATHANIEL! THIS ISN'T FUNNY!" I yell angrily. Suddenly, the fog disappears and I'm standing in the middle of tall trees. I hear screams coming from my left and I sprint towards them. I run and run and come to a stop in a clearing. My house sits in the middle of the clearing with the door wide open.

"This is impossible." I mutter and walk slowly inside. I hear my sister screaming and I run to her bedroom. In the middle stands Slenderman with tentacles reaching out towards her.

"PRESLEY!" I yell, but she can't hear me. A tentacle wraps around her body and starts to squeeze. More screams come from behind me as my mom runs in with a long blade. She runs up behind Slender and stabs the blade into his back. He screeches whips around to face her. My mother, one of the bravest people I've ever met, stands tall as Slender strikes her down. He lets go of my sister who falls to the ground, dead. He disappears and I run out into the hallway. The house disappears and I'm back in the forest. Footsteps pound from behind me, and two people grab my arms.

"Serena! We found her!" Eric says happily and I look up. Kylie looks at me with a stare I will never forget. She looks...angry. But her expression softens as she sees that I’m sobbing.

"Lets get going," Nathaniel says, his voice shaking a little. We head off out of the forest. We reach the beach and finally find the camp after about ten minutes.

"KYLIE!" Trenton yells and jumps up to greet her. She bursts into tears and runs into his arms. While Eric and Nathaniel greet everyone, I collapse into the sand.

"It was so terrible!" Kylie was sobbing into Trenton's shoulder. He kisses her forehead and she finally lets go of him.

"What in the world is going on here?" Kathryn asks. Everyone falls silent.

"I don't know," Trenton says after a moment.

"Well, I know one thing,” I start and they all look at me. "I think I just watched my family being murdered."
