Sunshine has had some time — well, actually, a lot of time — to think, especially after the Black-Eyed Kids movie that ended just amazingly.

She's been thinking about Victoria recently, and she decided to rewatch Anna's sacrifice video to really make sure it was her. Loe and behold, it was. Shocker.

Sunshine really just doesn't understand why Victoria was so open about them not trusting her anymore, because it almost seemed like she just knew it was going to happen. Then she was almost — okay with it? Sunshine isn't sure, but she thinks it's kind of odd.

She feels like she should try to talk to Victoria next time she drops by, if she even does, not that it ever happens.

Still. It's worth a try, right?

⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀
Recap time.

Sunshine is sitting on her bed, Beatles poster behind her, and she has a long list of things on her whiteboard that — well, she'll get to it in a moment.

"All right, guys, so it's recap time," she says to the camera, raising her hands. "I just thought we would go over the whole— paranormal— hierarchy, as I called it," Sunshine smirks and wriggles her fingers, "in my nice chart here. Don't you like it? I spent some time on this too, it's beautiful. So. Yeah."

SUNSHINE'S SUPER {awesome}
GOOD vs EVIL
PARANORMAL HIERARCHY CHART!!
by Sunshine
___________

* LUISEACH = me (paranormal superstar )
DAD?

* PROTECTOR (protects the Luiseach)(do I get one?)
(Victoria?)

* MENTOR (teachs Luiseach how to be Luiseach)

* AWAKEN (tramatic experience brings them closer to the paranormal)

* MARKON (Rulers of Evil paranormal realm)(BAD GUY)

* GROUNDLING (human servants of the Markon)
(trying to get paranormal powers)
(Slender Man, Moth Man)

She points to the header and annunciates each word. "Sunshine's Super ~Awesome~ Good vs Evil Paranormal Hierarchy Chart— by Sunshine! Yaaah! So, I'll go through it, one by one." The handwriting is kind of nice, but could still use some work.

She points to the first star. "So the first is the Luiseach, which—" Sunshine places a hand to her chest, "—is me. That's why it equals me. And, um, that's like, the paranormal superstar, they're really cool. We're like that." She does jazz hands. "Righteous ones, I guess. And theeeeen we have some questions unanswered of course, that's why there's question marks. Sunshine pauses. "Uh, my dad. Possibly? Might be? Hm?"

Sunshine quickly moves on. "Next, the Protector. This person — Protector — protects the Luiseach, me, uh, do I get one? Is it Victoria?" She squints. "These are all my unanswered questions I just had to put by the side."

Next. "Mentor. This teaches the Luiseach how to be a Luiseach. How to use the powers, how to— all that function and everything, so that's important. Again. Do I get one? Is it Victoria?" She shrugs.

Sunshine points. "Next is an Awaken. This person— or thing— this human has had a traumatic experience and it brings them closer to the paranormal, so...yeah, it could be anything, like—" She thinks about Nolan. "Got into a coma, got out, and can now see ghosts or whatever, so."

Next. "Markon." Sunshine frowns. "These are the Rulers of the Evil paranormal realm. And, also, the bad guys. So."

A pause. "Next, Groundlings, they're the—" She points to the camera, "—human servants— human, key part— of the Markon, uh, they're the ones trying to get the paranormal powers and this would also be people like Slender Man, Moth Man— I guess they're not people they're more paranormal entities— so yeah, that was my beautiful chart, wasn't it great? So. Good. Everybody caught up now?"

⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀
Sunshine's pretty sure she hears her mom calling her, but she's not really sure what it's about. She walks to the head of the stairs. "Honey?" Kat asks.

Sunshine raises a brow. "Mom?"

"Can you come down here please?"

"What— what's wrong?" She looks down into the dark stairwell and sees her mother standing in front of it in a red flannel shirt. Kat doesn't answer. Sunshine makes her way down, frowning. "You're acting really weird, Mom."

She's looking towards the front door, hands clasped together in silence.

Sunshine sighs when she reaches the foot of the stairs. "What?"

Kat wordlessly motions toward the front door.

Victoria is standing there.

Sunshine does a double take and jerks back, breath hitching in her throat. She thinks about Anna, thinks about that horrible occult video and what had happened. It was her. She was there, and she let it happen. Sunshine clenches her hands.

"Yeah," Kat mutters.

"Victoria, what are you doing here?" Sunshine asks cautiously. She's dressed in a pale tan-gray trenchcoat, buttons curling up the side of her chest.

Victoria hesitates for a moment as Sunshine walks closer toward the living room. "I need to know something." She steps in front of the woman. "Sunshine, I need to know if you trust me."

She raises her brows. "Well....not...really.."

Victoria frowns and looks down. "I see." She genuinely looks upset and sighs. "Well then I— I want you to take this." She reaches out her arm and Sunshine immediately recognizes the blade from the exorcism so long ago, when Victoria's throat had been cut by the demon. "I want you to take this and— sacrifice me if you must."

Kat looks at Victoria incredulously and takes the camera. Sunshine's mouth is agape. "Sacrifice— sacrifice you— why?"

"Sunshine, this world you're dealing with— the paranormal— it's evil."

"Yeah," Kat grunts.

"It's more evil than you have any idea of, and it will do anything to manipulate you, to make you think things are real that aren't— please." Victoria pushes her hands together. "I beg you. Please listen to your instincts, listen to your heart, to your gut— trust yourself. Please do this for me. I know that's....really silly of me to ask, but I need you to do this, please." Her voice shakes.

"Okay." Sunshine is nodding her head seriously.

Victoria wastes no more time and turns, opening the door to exit. She closes it behind her.

"Victoria?" Kat asks.

"Okay," Sunshine says.

Kat watches her disappear into the night and swivels to Sunshine. "Okay. That was odd."

Sunshine frowns and places the blade on the black counter near the front door. "Yeah."

"Yeah. Do you think that's it?"

"I don't know." Sunshine looks at the blade. She's pretty sure her mother means, Is this the blade Anna was killed with?

She doesn't want to say that out loud, though.
⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀
"Okay," Sunshine sighs as she walks into the hallway with her camera, "so last night, for all that happened, I tried to get Mom to talk about it and she didn't want to, so hopefully this morning I have better luck. So. Wish me luck."

She walks down the stairs into the kitchen, where Kat is standing over the counter. "Mom?"

"Mmhm?" she calls without looking back.

"So, can we..." Sunshine waves her arms. "Talk about this now?"

"About what?" Kat turns and walks to the other side of the kitchen.

"About—"

"Oh." Her mother cringes when she notices the camera and makes a face. "Hm. How about no camera, how about that?"

Sunshine grunts. "Mom, it's kinda important."

Kat wheezes dramatically. "Why is it important? I don't want to."

"Please?"

"Fine," Kat gives in, "what?"

Oh. She's making her coffee.

"Well," Sunshine starts. "It happened."

"You wanna talk about Victoria?"

"Yes..?"

"Yes," Kat nods as she shuffles around the counters. She sighs and turns back to her mug, wiping auburn hair from her face. "I don't know. I mean, I feel like that was a weird— reintroduction to our lives, I feel like—" Kat steps forward and stirs her coffee, "—the only thing that came of that was, the knife, right?" She lifts the blade in its leather case.

"Yeah," Sunshine says.

"So...how are we supposed to trust her, just because she gave us the knife and she said we should sacrifice her?"

"I know," she defends, "I don't— I don't know, I— I'm glad she's back, I guess, I don't know how I feel about....it.." Sunshine sighs. "You know."

Kat purses her lips. "About her being back?"

Jesus. Does she really have to say it? "Mm......about—"

"Trusting her?" they both say in unison.

Sunshine nods. "And trying to kill her, that was weird."

Kat hums and turns back to her coffee machine. "She didn't say kill, she said sacrifice."

"Whatever."

"No, I think it's a different thing."

"Okay." Sunshine rolls her eyes.

"Well." Kat sighs and steps in front of the camera, taking it. "I take this."

Sunshine grunts as Kat turns the camera on her.

"I don't know why this— I think that, probably, the reality is, that, she's going to— come around again and explain more, but— is it gonna matter? Is it enough?"

Sunshine is leaning on the wall and looks down. "Well..."

"I kind of want her to have an explanation about why."

"I mean, I don't think that she's done anything major." Sunshine shrugs.

"Where— where has she been this whole time, why now? Why show up now? Does it mean something else is gonna happen? Is something else bad happening and she knows it and that's why she's here?"

Sunshine shrugs.

"But... that's not... that doesn't make me feel better, that's not good."

"I don't know."

"You wanna think about it?"

"Yeah."

"You want to ask for opinions?" Kat is talking about the YouTube commenters, of course. "That's what usually— they give 'em to us anyway, don't they?"

"Yeah, that's true." Sunshine scratches the bridge of her nose softly. "Any opinions, guys?"

Kat smirks. "You seem very sure about that."

"Yeah, well...."

"Commit to it."

"Any opinions, guys?" she says louder with a fake smile.

"Leave them below!" Kat says.
