Another set of weeks pass by, and everything was the same. It was a continuous routine of you going to school, meeting up with your friends, inputting knowledge to the best of your ability, hanging out with your friends, working, going home, and sleeping.

It was the same for Penn. Albeit wanting to make time for you, it seems like the multiverse is having some kind of patterned trouble here.

Penn watched as Phyllis was inputting code and pressing buttons. He placed down his bag on one of the seats of the cinema before stepping onto the platform along with his sidekick and comic relief.

Phyllis told them a brief description of where they were heading before pulling the lever and the same blue aura completely washed over the three, lifting them, and taking them inside the new world that they have to venture into.

Penn opened his eyes to see a bright pink sky. Pink? He immediately felt himself wearing a spacesuit. He could slightly see himself and his bright green hair in the reflection of his helmet. He inspected his gloves as he opened and closed his fist. The ground was dark purple with bumpy pores. This is totally not Earth.

He glanced at his sidekick who was already giving him the specs as Boone was bouncing himself up and down because he wanted to test the gravity.

They still looked the same but with different features. Boone suddenly has a mustache while Sashi's skin was pinkish.

"We are on a planet called, 'Tashka', a civilization that was built almost centuries ago. We... wait, huh?"

Sashi tapped her glasses a bit harder this time. "Why is it not responding?" Her eyebrows furrowed in confusion as she stared at the bold, red text that says 'ERROR'.

"Hm. Must be because there's no signal,' Boone shrugged. "We're on a different planet, after all."

"I guess we have to ask the people then." Penn decided as he looked at the buildings in his view. Sashi continued to try and fix her glasses, despite the fact that there was no coverage.

The city looked complex and advanced, as expected. The people... aren't human as it is known that they were extra-terrestrial. But it wasn't the usual 'alien' Penn sees in movies. They just weren't humans.

"Good after-" Penn didn't even know what time it is. "Hello- Greetings!" Do they even speak English?

The creature blinked at them. Penn looked behind his team to see them looking back at him with unsure expressions.

"Our boss told us to go here because there is trouble. We would like to know what that is because we want to help you."

The alien gasped. "What did you just call me?" They walked away before Penn could explain.

All of a sudden, a hand came, and Penn had his guard up, flinching and backing away. Sashi and Boone also did a defensive stance - in which Sashi did a karate chop hand while Boone hid behind her.

The culprit raised both of her hands. Of course, they would find her suspicious because she, too, was wearing a spacesuit, only, her helmet was so tinted that they couldn't even see her face.

They didn't even see her roll her eyes. "I'm not gonna hurt you." The three still didn't believe her, but when they heard her speak English, relief was visible on their faces. "You don't believe me? Fine.

The three watched as you removed your helmet, shaking your hair. They immediately recognized you- well, your eyes because they see it often. But as usual, you were wearing a disguise or some sort. This time it was a gas mask. Practical, and very appropriate to the dimension. You gotta give Phil some credit.

"Remember me?" You smirked directly at them. They were still alert in your presence. Of course, you were expecting that since obviously you were their enemy. You heard that they have been calling you 'No Name' and that was hilarious.

"What, not gonna say hi or whatever?" You said after a moment of silence.

"What are you doing here?" Sashi said with anger.

"Relax, glasses, I'm here because I need your help."

The three were perplexed upon hearing your admission. You, the person they have been battling for weeks, needing their help?

"Is that actually No Name and not some kind of alien?" Boone whispered next to Penn who was busy scrutinizing her body language.

Penn found No Name to be mysterious. Up to this day, he still doesn't know her identity. He might have known that he's been beating Rippen and Larry, but the new addition to their team had left him puzzled.

It was like some sort of magic that was preventing him to find out who she is.

The bottom half of her face was often the spot to get covered, so he has only gotten to catch a glimpse of her eyes. He doesn't feel any familiarity, whatsoever, yet he feels pulled. He finds it intriguing that you exist just to spite them, annoy them, distract them.

"'No Name'? Cool." You were incredibly amused by the fact they have a special nickname to call you because they don't know your name. What is your name in other dimensions?

"Are you trying to distract us?" Penn asked with narrow eyes.

"No. Those days are over. By the way," you turned to Penn who was already looking at you. "I was trying to adjust your language settings, but you couldn't let me near you... so."

On cue, Penn looked down to the facade of his suit, there was a box attached to his chest with mechanics like a knob, buttons for coding, and a small speaker.

When he wasn't replying, you went ahead and explained that they can easily change the language they use when speaking to other people. He looked at you, trying to explain with your eyes so calm yet fierce. You briefly looked up and your eyes meet, in which you flash him a confident gaze.

The wind blew around them, making you want to bundle up your hair into a ponytail, but you didn't have a hair tie. So, you struggled to compile the strands making your hair all messy.

"Why are you helping us? We're supposed to defeat you!" Sashi exclaimed, pointing at you accusatively.

"I'm not that evil all the time. What, Can't I take a break every once in a while?"

Penn was still suspicious, but he wanted information. "Where's your boss, then?"

"Why should I tell you?" You smirked at them, but they couldn't see it because of the gas mask. "Besides, he's not doing anything bad... yet. We have all the time in the... this world."

"Can you leave us alone for a moment?" Sashi glared at you before pulling Penn and Boone into a huddle session while you rolled your eyes, kicking a nearby rock.

The three of them leaned closer and used hushed whispers. "Listen, I'm gonna open this conversation by telling you that I don't trust No Name. Not one bit." Sashi hissed.

"Me too, but..." Penn wanted to kick himself in the foot for the next one. He cautiously glanced behind him. "She's not doing anything... she helped us work with our suits, and she could lead us to Rippen and his evil plan."

"But we could all be in a trap right now!" Sashi stood her ground.

"We can easily trick them into thinking that we're being trapped," Penn replied, his tone being steady.

Sashi raised an eyebrow. "Do you seriously believe that we can still beat them that easily? Like old times? Don't forget that No Name is there. She's a bad guy. Or are you having a hard time accepting that?"

"Sashi, what are you saying?" Penn was utterly confused.

"I'm saying that you're not focused." She pointed an accusatory finger at him. "You don't commit yourself to your work. Do you want to quit?"

Penn recoiled. "What? Sash... I don't want to quit! I was never planning on quitting!"

However, Sashi was still glaring at him. "Then focus on the job! Don't get distracted! Don't forget what happened the last time you let yourself get hooked by one of No Name's schemes?!"

Penn looked away, not saying anything. Sashi sighed before placing a hand on his shoulder.

"Look, Penn, I'm just... worried about you. Okay?" Sashi was having a hard time expressing her concern. "I don't want you getting hurt by your stupidity. I'm saying that because I'm your..." She groaned. "-sidekick."

"Wow, Sash, way to go." Penn blankly stared at the girl who was mentally struggling trying to formulate the right words.

"I'm trying my best over here!" Sashi rolled her eyes in annoyance, but there was a hidden kindness as she playfully nudged his elbow. "Fine, we're going to follow No Name, as you said. And if we fall into our inevitable death, I'll come and save you like always."

"You know you're the best sidekick, Sashi."

"I know."

The two of them turned around you to find you and Boone having a conversation. It was still staggering to see you just standing there, not causing harm. But they still have to be prepared for the unexpected. You may have a trick up your sleeve.

"Are you two done?"

You scoffed at the two of them. Inside of you, you have constantly thought of what you have been becoming every time you hopped on other dimensions. You are completely aware that you turn into a snarky, dismissive person when you're 'No Name' (it's a fun nickname, you concluded) and it was a bit implausible, and you have a feeling that Phil is the cause of this attitude change the moment you float inside the portal.

Hana described you as someone so nice and you find it hilarious, imagining her reaction if she finds out that your job is to be assisting some art teacher with his evil plans to take over some city while fighting the good guys.

You've always been reminding yourself that Y/n and No Name are two different people. It's easy to not let those personalities mash and confuse. Y/n is a nice person, No Name is not. Simple as that.

Sashi wanted to lead the group to walk to the leader's tavern or someplace where their chief is hiding to find answers. You blindly followed them, only because you were bored.

In all honesty, you had completely left Rippen and Larry to themselves in finding the power source they wanted to track. If you had to listen to Larry geeking about the board game he had wanted to play for another hour, as much as you love to see Rippen's red face from wanting to explode, you want nothing more than to get the heck out of there.

Yet, it seems that you had no other choice. You still have to walk miles with people beside you.

Boone was geeking about the Meatloaf Mondays to Penn as he was about to explode as well. You chuckled at their interaction, making Sashi turn to you.

Sashi sees you as a threat, that was obvious. She feels livid whenever she remembers the time you kick their butt, but she also remembers the time she kicked your butt and maybe that's the only good thing she likes about you. That you exist just for her to kick your butt.

She doesn't like the way that Penn and Boone are warming up to you. She would honestly just jump off the nearest cliff if the reason they're befriending you is that they found you to be attractive and actually nice. It was evident that you were tricking them, they just couldn't see that. She would just have to help them open their eyes.

But as you laughed along with Boone about the joke he just made about Penn, her eye was twitching in irritation. It just feels agonizing seeing her friends comfortably open up to their enemy. The enemy is No Name. And she's right there! They could have easily captured her, kidnapped her, put her somewhere, and have them complete the mission before dinner, but noooo, Penn and Boone decided to have fun and laugh at uncomedic jokes!

Calm down.

"We're here, I think." Your voice brought her out of her thoughts. The four of you looked up at the tall skyscraper that looms over you. They casually entered and to the elevator, you go! Cramped inside with the music awkwardly coming out of the speakers, the ride lifted you up to the tippy-top where their 'president' works.

You stood at the back of the office with your arms crossed as you leaned back and propped your leg up for support. It was a cool stance as you listened to their conversation. You were tempted to check on your watch to see their location, but they might lose their trust in you - if there even was trust in the first place. Maybe with the laughs you shared, there was an inkling moment where they opened up slightly.

It was no use if they trust you or not.

Because you were already betraying them from the start.

You don't even know anymore.

Your mind always takes you back to the question, but you didn't want to answer it right away. It was a loaded one, but it seems that your heart already has the answer, your brain just didn't want to listen.

"Bored?"

You blinked out of your space when you heard Boone beside you. "Absolutely. Are you?" You figured that he is, seeing that he's not even listening to the mayor talking about how their city is powered by a great crystal that was hidden somewhere around the planet and no one but him knows where it is.

"Yeah. I just want this to get over with, you know? It's Meatloaf Monday, I can't miss it!"

"Right," you nodded slowly. "It's the most important day, can't miss it."

"Ugh, you get me, No Name," Boone commented without sensing that you were being sarcastic.

You have come to a conclusion that Boone reminds you a lot about Larry. They both gush about the most unusual things, but they love it. They love talking about it, so you're not going to stop them, but it's still annoying to hear about it if they still kept on talking about it for an hour straight. You commend their passion for those kinds of stuff.

And if Boone was Larry, you had to think that Sashi is Rippen in some type of way. They both have a goal they have to reach. Maybe the only difference they have is that Sashi carefully thinks the approach that they have to make while Rippen dives head-first, just fight, fight, fight. Only violence, maybe that's why they hired you for you to fill the job of strategizing; the department that Rippen clearly lacks in.

Your gaze locked in Penn, who was now arguing with the prime minister. He was furrowing his eyebrows because he couldn't understand why they couldn't step in and help the people while the chairman insists that his army is on the job, and he doesn't need their worthless help anyway.

Now that you realized it; if Boone was Larry, Sashi is Rippen... then you and Penn must be alike. You saw a lot of yourself in him.

You didn't know why but you felt so drawn toward him.

"Why do you have that mask on? Come to think of it, you always wear something to hide your face in every other dimension we've been through."

You shrugged. "I can't tell you... I think?" You don't remember if Phil asked you specifically not to tell them why you have unique masks tailored to the world you're working in. "It just helps me hide my identity, that's all I'm gonna say."

"Well, do you not know who we are?" Boone asked innocently. "I'm sure you have a civilian-human life outside of this, knowing that you work for-"

"Come on, you two. Let's get out."

Sashi interrupted before Boone could even finish his sentence. But you were still stuck at that moment despite you currently walking out of the elevator.

Does he know that you work for Rippen? Does he know Rippen in his life?

Now that Boone mentioned civilian life, you were pretty sure that he lives on Earth too. He might have seen Rippen before, I mean, he catches all attention to his sickly, pale complexion, and his neon green strands of hair sticking out wildly in different directions. This man is hard to miss.

But before you could tap Boone again and ask him what he wanted to ask you earlier, the ground shook, cracks opening around it. You managed to balance yourself unlike the rest of the civilians who were falling down to their butt, trying to stand still.

Your smirk grew from the inside of your mask. Perhaps Rippen had done it. There, from the underground, stood a tall mechanical robot amongst the denizens that was controlled by none other than the one who had ventured for miles just to grab hold of it.

"NO!" you could hear the mayor exclaim even from the high floor he was on.

You had the impression that the robot was their power source. Its eyes were bright with light, and its long limbs stretched as if it had just awoken from a nap. You saw that the heroes were nowhere to be found, so you looked around, only to find the streets deserted.

You returned your gaze to the tall robot who was just standing there strangely. You imitated its actions until it abruptly knelt down to speak with you.

"Come on, hop in," said the gloomy voice, making you roll your eyes. You entered through its mouth, and there were the two. Rippen was definitely in control, while Larry was playing in the corner. You looked at the man-child and shook your head.

"Whatcha playing?" you asked when you got to his tiny corner.

"The game is called What Could Go Wrong! Oooh!" Larry wriggled his fingers and sang a wobbly high song in an attempt to frighten you. You looked at him, puzzled. "All you have to do is roll the dice, pick a card, and the game will decide your fate!"

He showed by tossing the dice, selecting a card, and reading it aloud. "You've faced a sea monster! Roll a die; if it lands on a two, you survive and move two steps; if it lands on a four, you retire four steps. Oh, that's difficult."

You quietly watched him roll the die and- luckily enough, it landed on a two. "Yes!" He exclaimed, moving his pieces up two steps.

It went quiet.

"It's more fun with a group of people."

"I figured," you nodded slowly.

You stood up after the conversation and left him to play. You treaded the metal floor, the same floor that Rippen was standing on. "Where to, boss?" You said ironically.

"I am simply going to use this power source to destroy worlds!" Rippen screamed over the top of his lungs.

You couldn't count how many times you've rolled your eyes; you were kind of getting a headache now. "Simple, huh? Can't wait."

The machine was bobbing up and down when you sat down in your own little corner. You leaned against the metal wall. Everything is made out of metal. Was it even called metal in this dimension?

While you were in your lonesome, you had a sudden trip down memory lane, considering that the memory was from 30 minutes ago. It was when Boone had asked you if you had a civilian life outside of this evil thing. He also asked you if you recognize them.

No.

As a matter of fact, you don't. Not a single clue of who they are.

You don't even know their names!

Just like No Name, you have a secret nickname for them as well. Boone is braces- sometimes sidekick #2, Sashi is glasses- sometimes sidekick, while Penn is wonder boy- sometimes a pretty boy.

Don't ask. You call them based on your first assumptions.

Other nicknames just come on a whim. Those first nicknames were only what you call them in your mind. The sidekick is angry at me ha-ha. Look at her puny little glasses. Braces is so dumb.

You let out a small laugh by yourself. You were sure they might look at you like you're crazy.

You have only been working here for like- what, almost 4 months? And what adventure it had been. You were pretty sure that your room would soon be filled with various souvenirs from the dimensions you have gone through. Soon enough, you won't let Penn come because he'd see the merchandises you collected, and then he'd ask questions about them, and you wouldn't know what to say.

In the vast spaces in your mind, you couldn't help but think of the consequences once you were forced to tell Penn who you really are, someone who torments these so-called heroes, acting as an assistant to their villain, and other horrible things.

An option appeared into your thoughts as if it looked like it was on bait, waiting for you to take it.

Written on the bait was the concept of you quitting your part-time job before Penn even gets the sliver of an idea that you go and do this willingly on a daily basis.

Then, you thought about how these 4 months had been the greatest ever since you and your aunt moved locations. You met new friends, a new job, new co-workers, a boyfriend. Is it really worth it to just drop off work?

Penn's face appeared into your mind again. He was smiling, he looked so ethereal. He was smiling at you with his round, blue eyes and captivating grin. But then it morphed into him being horrified and looking betrayed the moment you told him. He looked so afraid of you, he wanted to get away from you.

"Hey!"

Rippen's voice brought you out of your stupor. You looked at him with an expectant gaze.

"Stop moping and focus, we're almost at the other end of the town."

You obliged, agreeing that you need to get out of the corner and stop thinking before you drown in your thoughts. You stretched for a bit, letting out a satisfied moan once you heard the bones crack. Larry stood on the other side of Rippen, his board game nowhere to be seen. He had probably hidden it, not wanting to damage from the chaos soon to be ensued.

Alas, every villain has a hero. When there's bad, there will always be good to save the day. The three heroes, as expected, appeared in a robot as well, albeit not as big as the one you were currently inside right now, but they were still willing to fight.

You crossed your arms boredly, switching glances between them and Rippen. Guess this is going to be a bot fight, and you're too uninterested to actually take part in it.

Not that there was a spot in your mind that was telling you not to do anything. Not at all.

Rippen's laugh almost busted your eardrums and you stepped away from him a bit. Suddenly his laugh annoyed you like it was your first time hearing it. Why are you feeling like this?

Suddenly, your thoughts turned to quitting your job, and you struggled to summon the strength to approach Phil and tell him flatly that you were leaving. Which would shatter your heart because he was extremely close to you and your aunt, and he accepted you despite the fact that he wasn't looking for work in the first place. You met him through your aunt; perhaps they had a history, and after May told Phil about her financial difficulties, he suggested you work for him.

And what happens if you quit your job? The memories of you giving Phil your word came flooding back to you. Perhaps he has an ulterior motive for accepting you in the first place, but you recall that you started out as a basic assistant to Phil. You began by cleaning the platforms, mopping the floors, dusting the buttons, and retrieving anything he requires to develop the machine. After a few weeks, you find yourself fighting with Rippen and Larry against whatever these three are.

You voluntarily lifted your hand and touched your personalized mask. You recalled contacting Phil and expressly requesting that he build you one. You had no idea he'd make you different variations that are familiar to the dimension you're in. That was awesome.

Your gaze was cast downward. After all, you don't want to do that to Phil. Nonetheless, your heart bleeds with each passing day that you were forced to lie to Penn.

The metal floor you were standing on trembled, jolting you awake. You lost a foot but were able to regain your balance before collapsing on your buttocks. Rippen was chaotically managing the mechanism. You had to locate the nearest exit in case everything goes horribly wrong.

Your attention was drawn to a suspicious-looking plug connected to the metal wall. You approached slowly, wondering what it was, perhaps a charger or something.

"It's getting too hot!" Larry yelled to no one in particular. "Sir! The whole thing might blow up!"

Rippen absolutely ignored him, launching fists after blows at the heroes. After each hit, said heroes were painfully crushed, and their robot was quickly beaten. When Rippen opted to end it all with a massive stomp, it appeared that they only needed one more critical attack. But everything came to a halt before the metal foot could reach their bot's face.

"What?" Rippen was perplexed because he wasn't in control anymore. It seemed that the robot was malfunctioning, shutting down automatically. "No!"

"Oops."

That was the last thing they heard before they were transported back to the real world.

"I was almost there! It was literally right there! They were ready to get smacked by a massive foot!" Rippen cried as he threw a temper tantrum. He pounded his foot, and everyone in the room thought he needed to be calmed down. Larry led him outside, and the rest of you relied on him to know what to do.

You felt a twinge of guilt as you practically avoided Phil's gaze. He stared at you momentarily before going back to list the coordinates you were previously in. They didn't need to know that you accidentally removed the exact same plug that was attached to the wall, thinking that it would reduce the power for a bit, but in the end, it did more harm than good.
