[A/N]: Let's pretend that Percy and the others started school on the Monday of that week.

Jake's POV:

When I walked into the cafeteria with Kay, we found Percy and the gang sitting at a table nearby, so we sat with them.

As I sat down next to Leo, who was playing with his food, I noticed a far away look in his eyes that I knew all too well.

"Feeling lovesick, my friend?" I asked quietly, so that the others wouldn't hear.

"Is it that obvious?" he replied with a smirk.

I placed a hand on his shoulder and said, "Hey, I've been a third wheel in enough relationships to know when a guy misses the girl he loves. Don't worry, dude, you'll get to see her again!"

At this, his face brightened and he flashed his signature goofy grin.

"Thanks, Jake. You're a good friend!" he complimented.

"Anytime, Valdez!" I replied.

Looks like we got Leo back, I thought.

"Oh yeah, I forgot! Today's Percy's birthday, so me and the others wanted to invite you and Kate to the party tonight!" Leo informed me.

"Sure! We'll be there!" I stated.

Just as I turned to talk to Kay, the wall on the opposite side of the cafeteria exploded!

After the dirt and debris had settled, a creature with the head of a bull and the humanoid figure of a bodybuilder, stood in the newly-made doorway.

Ugh, I groaned in my head, as I mentally facepalmed, not him again!

Annabeth's POV:([A/N]: Don't judge. I'm a guy. I don't always know how a girl thinks.)

Today is my Seaweed Brain's 18th birthday! I should probably make a plan for the party. We'll probably invite a few friends, like Jake and Kate!

Speaking of those two, I've been doing some thinking, and I've come to a conclusion:

Jake and Kate must be demigods! I mean, they can speak Greek and they show signs of having ADHD, but surprisingly no dyslexia.

But who could possibly be their godly parents?

I mean, I'd peg Kate up as the daughter of Athena, because of her level of intelligence and interest in architecture. But yesterday, I saw a SP-SPIDER land on her shoulder! And she just calmly brushed the spider without a second thought!

Now Jake's another story. At first, I thought he could be a son of Athena or Hephaestus, due to his skill in math and robotics. But, what threw me off of this conclusion was when Percy told me that Jake TIED with him in SWIMMING!

So, now I'm just confused about who his godly parent is.

"Annabeth!" a voice called, shaking me from my thoughts. It was Percy. "You ok, Wise Girl? You seem a little...distracted."

I took in my surroundings, bringing myself back to reality. The formerly depressed Leo now had a huge grin on his face again. Something told me that Jake had something to with it. I turned my attention back to Percy.

"Yeah, I'm ok, Seaweed Brain. I was just thinking." I assured him.

"Oh, well that's nothing new." he said with a smirk.

Just as I was about to reply, the wall on the opposite side of the cafeteria exploded! There was screaming and yelling as all of the mortals ran out of the cafeteria.

After the dirt and debris had settled, a creature with the head of a bull and the humanoid figure of a bodybuilder, stood in the newly-made doorway.

It was the first monster Percy ever fought. The Minotaur. Then, I saw something that made my jaw drop.

Standing there, before the Minotaur, was a boy, wearing a stylish black trench coat and black finger-cut gloves. In one hand, a futuristic handgun (probably loaded with Celestial Bronze bullets) and in the other, a Celestial Bronze long sword that didn't look Greek nor Roman! Then, the boy finally spoke.

"Hey, Elias. It's been a while, hasn't it?" the boy greeted.

That's when I realized that the boy standing before the Minotaur was...

Jake Weston.
