The day has been pretty normal, nothing happened at all, literally nothing. Awhile ago me and Jayce had an intence battle of rock, paper, scissors. But thats about it. Emylia fell asleep about an hour ago. She keeps switching between leaning on me or the wall of the left side of the caravan on my veiw point. Jayce is still awake, but I honestly believe he uses being watchmen as an excuse. All the violence hes been through in his long life, I probably could never comprehend. He may have sleeping problems. "Jayce?" I look at him straight, thoughtfully. "Yeah, boy?" He stares back, exactly the same way. "Do you have trouble sleeping?" "What makes you say that?" He responds immediately, as if expecting the question. "You sleep very rarely. I know you stay up to protect us, but sometimes it seems you can't sleep." His stare grows dimmer. "To be honest with you kid, I miss his majesty. He may have been a king, but he was still a little rascal to me..." He then throws me a sad looking half-smile. I feel sad, I didn't mean to hurt him. "Oh..." I wanted to say more, but nothing came to mind. I don't know his pain, so I can't counter it. It grows silent for a bit. All I can hear is the creek of the caravan as it continues to roll forward on this road that seems to widen by the hour. "Jayce, I have another question." I think about our battle before as I see the scar on Jayces right cheek. "Yes?" I look outside at the planet Luna, the planet the Dreads originated from in thier original forms. "I saw a mark on his right arm. I didn't know what it meant. You know? The dread in our past battle." Emylias head hits my shoulder again, distracting me for a second. "What did it look like?" He looks at me still, but now hes twiddling his thumbs. "A weird star with seven sides, with an eye in the middle. Now that I think about it. The star shape was the same one on planet Sol." He looks concerned. "He was hired help. Straight from planet Luna, which means that battle could have gone much worse." "How?" I respond in curiosity. "If his body was fully in tact, he could have turned into a true Dread. They are far more powerful than thier humanoid and bat forms." Wow, I'm glad I cut off his arm when I did. Wait- "What do you mean, hired help?" He now stares toward the ground, furious of his own thoughts. "Hired by king Paul. He was an assassin." I continue to stare, the night sky showing no light. Apparently I didn't look so well, because he looked startled. "Are you okay, your highness?" I try to adjust the flush in my face, I could feel the pale. "I am fine." The room goes silent again, nothing to hear but my own thoughts. Neither of us have anything left to say. I look to my shoulder to see Emylia sleeping peacefully on the now sturdy road. No creek anymore, only silence. Until it was broke by a familiar voice. "Isahia?" I look down on my right side to see the helmet was now empty, glowing Shine now levitating above it. "How long was I out?" Jayce answers for me in a sarcastic tone. "Long anough." We all giggle a little, trying hard not to wake Emylia. "How are you doing up there Shaw?" Jayce suddenly asks as Hint goes to sit on my head randomly. "Fine..." He answers coldly without regard. "Why is he so antisocial?" Hint asked rudely. "Well, Shaw is a historian and scholar. He doesn't really care for people, but he gets the job done." Jayce responds in a subtle respect for the man. "It sounds like you've known him awhile." Hint abruptly says, once again breaking the peaceful silence. "I have young one. He has worked for his lordship almost as long as I have. He actually was set to be king if anything ever happened to his majesty. That was until you were born, mylord." Oh! I didn't know that. "Was Shaw mad about it?" Shaw butts in and answers for himself. "Not at all." He goes back into his metaphorical hole with that response alone. "This is boring. I'm going back to bed until morning." Hint yet again says, breaking the silence. He then gets off my head and floats back into the helm, light dimming again. "You should get some sleep too, boy." I look at the one sleeping on my very shoulder. "I guess so. But promise me if you ever get tired. Wake me up to take your place, got it?" "Sure." He says with a sarcastic tone, insinuating he would never do that. With those words I nod off, pretty fast actually.
